Substitute Bride and Her Husband Who Disappeared

Chapter 106 Shut Up!

Although they were at the entrance of the venue, people were still passing by, and Luna's face turned pale at Nancy's words. "Shut up!"

With one hand, Luna held Nancy's arm tightly, and with the other, she raised a glass of wine to Nancy's lips, "Do you want to drink it yourself, or would you prefer me to feed it to you?"

Luna's fierce expression wasn't the kind that suggested she was going to feed Nancy, it was more like she was going to force it down her throat!

Nancy was already aggravated. Not only did she have to act for Vivian, but now she had to drink for her too. What was the point of Vivian then? With her around, Vivian got to skip all the hard work and still reap the benefits. Where on earth did such easy jobs exist?

"Hmph..."

While forcefully shaking off Luna's hand, Nancy snorted, "Are you sure you want to make a scene here?"

She was prepared to cause a ruckus, but whether Vivian could withstand the fallout was another question.

Seeing the defiant look in Nancy's eyes, Luna's temper flared.

Had been in the entertainment industry for years, when had she ever been threatened by someone as insignificant as Nancy?

"Nancy Swinton!"

Luna gritted her teeth and growled, "Don't forget. We still hold your father, and if you mess this up for Vivian, not only will we ruin your useless father, but also your brother, and you!" Nancy's already cold face darkened further. Seeing Luna's fierce expression, her fingers tightened at her side.

She wasn't a pushover. She wouldn't give in every time.

But the things Vivian asked her to do each time were just too outrageous!

Just as the standoff between the two was escalating, and the atmosphere was growing colder, the confused voice of Director Grant suddenly rang out behind them. "Vivian, what are you and Luna doing at the door?"

Nancy and Luna were startled, and as they turned around reflexively they saw Director Grant and a group of people walking towards them. Standing next to Director Grant was Charlie.

As if drawn by gravity, Nancy's gaze directly met Charlie's. In the moment their eyes met, a faint smile formed on Charlie's aloof lips.

Nancy blinked, and suddenly, as if struck by an idea, she grabbed the glass of wine from Luna's hand and downed it in one gulp.

The men were all stunned; the glass in Luna's hand had been filled with hard liquor!

Director Grant was the first to recover, laughing in admiration, "Young Master Firth was right. Vivian indeed can hold her liquor, hahaha..."

At this moment, however, Charlie's

brow furrowed. He walked over, snatched the glass from Nancy's hand, and forcefully placed it on a nearby table.

His cold gaze swept across the group of men, "Vivi has had enough to drink today, she can't drink anymore!"

The chilling look in his eyes and his indifferent tone sent shivers down the men's spines. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - ©.

They all nodded in understanding, "Yes, Young Master Firth is right."

"Young Master Firth, rest assured, we won't let Vivian drink anymore."

"Yes, we must take care of the ladies, even if she wants to drink, we won't let her."

Ignoring them, Charlie turned to look at Nancy, "Why are you drinking hard liquor?"

Nancy subconsciously glanced at Luna, rubbing her nose awkwardly, "Well... I was just... a bit thirsty."

Charlie's gaze swiftly shifted to Luna, who was so frightened that she took a step back, laughing nervously without knowing how to explain. "Heh..."

With a cold laugh, Charlie reached for a glass of liquor from the table and placed it in Luna's hand, "Luna, you've worked hard today. Let me toast you."
