373–Pinning Them Against Each Other
Nora:
“How do you feel?” Brody asked as he opened the door for me. It was the same room he had introduced me to when I first arrived at his pack.
“Hmmm,” I murmured, nodding my head as I took in the interior. The room had not changed, I guess he had kept it locked after throwing me into that small prison.
“I didn’t let anyone use this room after you,” he said, though I rolled my eyes, knowing he couldn’t see it since he was facing away from
1. me.
“What are these?” I raised an eyebrow at the bassinet and noticed the wide smile on Brody’s face.
“I bought these for you and the babies,” he said, shyly resting his hand on the bassinet as if I should be grateful for his generosity.
“I don’t want these,” I mumbled, shaking my head.
“What? Then where do you plan to make the babies sleep?” His voice sounded a bit dry after hearing that. I could tell he expected me to be appreciative.
“Back in my prison-” I began to say, but he cut me off.
“That wasn’t a prison. It was your room,” he said, the hurt in his eyes making me scoff.

while she stood behind them, watching them work. After they left, Mrs. Fisher decided to stay.
It felt like she wouldn’t leave until she had caused some trouble. I was ready to face her with more confidence this time.
“You must be feeling victorious,” she hissed.
“Of course I am,” I shrugged, trying to provoke her further. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org: ©.
“How did you manage to achieve all this?” she asked bitterly, shaking her head as though she were someone I needed to
answer.
“What do you mean by ‘how‘? It’s easy, you know. Just hunch your body down, slouch your shoulders a bit, and then shake these jugglers,” I said, shaking my breasts and eliciting a gasp from her.
The look of disgust on her face was priceless. I started laughing loudly while she grew more annoyed.
“How can you laugh-” she began, but fell silent when I stopped laughing and narrowed my eyes at her. I didn’t understand why she wanted to argue when she was so afraid of me that she couldn’t even speak once I stopped smiling.
“I can give you a helpful tip. When you stop poking your nose into other people’s business and let them live, you’ll be happy too. You‘ Il get to laugh, not at others‘ tears, but from happiness,” I said,
leaning in close and looking her straight in the eyes.
The way she quickly nodded and gulped told me she understood me very well now.
“Good, now get the fuck out of here because I need to spend time
with my babies,” I straigne
leave.
She gave me a nod out of fear and hurried to the door, only to stop and turn around to speak to me one last time for the night. “Alpha Brody said you can meet Roman whenever you want. But when you are with him, this room will be locked with nannies taking care of these babies.” She left the keys to the other room for me, and this was the only time I felt tears welling up.
I didn’t want this separation from my babies. But what else could I do?
