Chapter 28 : You Don’t Need To Understand
“Poison, Do you dare to drink it?” Rex realized that he liked bickering with this girl more and more. Every time Wendy reacted, he was in a good mood.
Wendy rolled her eyes at him and unscrewed the bottle cap. The strong smell of medicine assailed her nostrils and she immediately pinched her nose. “What medicine is this?”
“It’s medicine for colds,” Rex answered simply.
Wendy curled her lips and drank the medicine in silence.
The car drove steadily on the road, splashing water and jumping up and down, just like her mood.
Rex was a person who couldn’t be seen through, and he never gave her a chance to explain what he had done. Therefore Wendy just let her imagination run wild.
“What are you thinking about?” Rex tilted his head and looked at her. “Don’t think about it all day long. Your brain capacity is not large enough. It won’t be good if you become stupid again.”
“You!” Wendy glared at him. “Is it fun to bully me?”
Rex smiled. “This isn’t fun. It’s fun to bully you in bed.”
“Forget it, the more you talk to Rex, the more he likes to joke around.” Wendy directly turned her head to look out of the window and no longer looked at him.
“Let’s eat at home tonight.”
“Hm.”This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.
Wendy’s face turned red the moment she finished speaking. She had replied in such a natural manner.
“There……”
“Is there my home?”
“Duh, who else could it be if not yours?”
Wendy suddenly covered her mouth with her hand, her face full of shame. She had actually spoken her mind?
“Ouch!”
“It’s so embarrassing!”
Rex turned the steering wheel and said, “Don’t ask such stupid questions in the future.”
“Oh……”
“Also, you’d better give me a reasonable explanation for what just happened.” Rex’s expression turned cold in an instant.
Wendy sniffled and asked, “Explain what?”
“So you don’t intend to explain?”
Rex braked suddenly, and Wendy’s head hit the seat. She hissed and rubbed her head.
Before she could speak, Rex said with a cold face, “Get out of the car!”
“Huh?”
“It’s raining outside.” Wendy’s lips parted slightly. “Are you sure you want me to get out of the car?”
Rex raised his eyebrows and said with a hint of coldness in his eyes, “I don’t want to say it a second time.”
Wendy raised her stubborn little face and said, “Okay! Rex, out of the car I go!”
The car door was slammed shut. Rex hit the steering wheel with his fist, and the anger in his eyes intertwined. He glanced at the rearview mirror, and thought, “When did she become so obedient?”
The raindrops fell on Wendy’s body like needles. She suddenly felt a sharp pain from the bottom of her heart before it spread to her lower abdomen. A warm current gushed out and her legs immediately went limp.
“What a time! Even her menstruation was against her.”
Perhaps it was because she had been drenched in the rain, Wendy’s lower abdomen hurt so much that she leaned against the wall to the side, and her face became pale. She clutched her lower abdomen tightly and was unable to say a single word.
As the pain grew deeper and deeper, Wendy’s consciousness grew blurry. She only remembered seeing a face before she fainted.
It was a face that she didn’t want to see.
“How could a person who deliberately made things difficult for her be so kind?” She thought.
“If she doesn’t wake up, you can forget about staying here in the future!”
Wendy was awakened by Rex. When she opened her eyes in a daze, she saw him shouting at the family physician. She thought, “Isn’t it just menstruation? How could I not wake up?”
“Mr…… Mr. Gavyn, Mrs. Gavyn is awake,” the doctor said shakily, but his eyes were full of joy. He thought that he had saved this job, so he quickly left while Rex turned around.
Wendy looked very haggard, like a porcelain doll. She propped herself up and asked, “You brought me back?”
“Don’t talk. Your throat is hoarse.” Rex handed her the water by the bed. “It was just poured. Drink it.”
Wendy looked tired and was stunned for a few seconds before she took the cup of water. She held the cup of warm water and felt a lump in her throat. “Rex, sometimes I really can’t understand you.”
Rex lowered his gaze to hide his nervousness. “You don’t need to understand.”
“Quite funny.” Thought Wendy.
“That’s right. I’ll leave sooner or later anyway. So what is going to happen if you understand?”
Wendy finished drinking, she put down the glass and lay down with her back to him. Tears flowed down her cheeks and she said in a hoarse voice, “You can leave now. I want to rest.”
Rex replied domineeringly, “This is my home, I can go out whenever I want.”
Wendy was infuriated. She bolted to her feet, tears still streaming down her face. She glared at Rex and said, “Fine, I’ll go out if you don’t want to, okay?”
After that, she got out of bed barefoot. In a moment of desperation, Rex pressed her down on the bed and used his eyes to intimidate her. “If you keep running around, I don’t mind sleeping with you right now!”
Wendy blinked and shut her mouth as expected. Her eyes were watery, so alluring that one would lose their soul just by looking at them. If it wasn’t for her discomfort, Rex would have done the thing on the spot no matter what.
Since when did her every move affect him like this?
“It hurts……” Wendy suddenly said with a frown.
Rex left her body immediately and asked in a hurry, “Does it hurt again?”
Wendy giggled in her heart, thinking that this method was quite effective. After getting along with Rex during this time, she found that he was amenable to coaxing but not coercion. As long as she showed a little weakness, she would not have a hard time in the future.
She slowly snuggled into the bed and pretended to feel uncomfortable. “It still hurts, but it doesn’t hurt as much as before.”
Without saying another word, Rex lifted the blanket and hid under it. Wendy was so scared that she immediately shrank back. “What…… are you doing?”
Rex said helplessly, “Don’t worry. Even if I wanted to do it, you wouldn’t have the strength to cooperate with me. We can do it when you get better.”
After that, he placed his palm on Wendy’s lower abdomen and a warm sensation was transmitted from his palm.
Rex likes this was far too unfamiliar. Wendy stared at him unblinkingly, as if she wanted to see through him.
“If you keep looking, I really won’t be able to hold myself back anymore.” Rex suddenly turned around with a warm smile in his eyes. Wendy blushed and stopped talking after being teased for no reason.
Rex took advantage of her peacefulness and asked, “Who is that man?”
“Huh?” Wendy was caught off guard and confused. “Which man?”
“The one holding an umbrella for you.”
Wendy came to a sudden realization and coughed twice as she prepared her words. “It’s a classmate of mine.”
“Is he courting you?” Rex’s tone was extremely cold. Wendy hurriedly shook her head, thought about it, and nodded. After some hesitation, she shook her head and said, “I don’t know.”
“How slow are you? You can’t tell whether a man likes you or not?”
“Why did it feel like these words were purposely spoken for me?” Wendy thought.
Wendy pursed her lips. It was precise because she was well aware of this and it was difficult to explain. Rex was unpredictable all day long. What would her mother do if she accidentally provoked him?
“I’m not familiar with him.”
