Alpha's Second Chance

It had been over a week since Sam disappeared from my senses, and I was

getting worried. Worried we had sent him on a suicide mission, but Dad said if he were dead, we would know.

I am training when I suddenly sense him, and he is Alive!

I get so focused that I don't see Enzo's right hand come toward me, and before I know it, I am sitting on the floor.

"Shit, I am sorry, Noah," Enzo says, but I laugh.

"Nice one, bro. It's all good, and I got distracted. I can feel Sam." I explained.

"Really? We should find your Dad." And I agree.

We hurry back to the house. I already know he is in his office, and I am happy to see Kyle there, too. They both look at us, surprised when we barge into the office.

"I feel Sam," I say, and Dad stands up.

"How is he?" Dad asks.

I sit down and concentrate on my senses, reaching out deeper to him. I hear the door open and four sets of footsteps, but I don't look up, even though I can smell Madeleine. But I feel her sit next to me, touching my arm, and I feel her in my senses and head.

'Go as deep as you need to, find him. I won't let you lose control.' She tells me.

I knew she had never done this before, but somehow, I believed what she said. I go deeper into my powers, deeper than I ever have before. I feel Madeleine around it as if she is wrapped tightly around me. I feel her powers, her gift, and nature calming me and keeping me centered.

It gives me strength and makes me trust that I won't hurt anyone. I go deeper and follow it to Sam. I feel him, and as I use more and more of my powers, I suddenly see him.

He is with one other man, and they are walking through the forest.

"It is nice to be outside, even if it feels safe inside the mountain." Bingo! He just

gave us a clue. Sam is smart. He knew he would keep trying to find him.

The other man doesn't answer, but as I can see him, I can see he writes something down on a piece of paper.

"Yes, I miss my family. What about you?" Sam asks, and the man nods his head and starts writing again. Maybe he can't talk?

"Yes, I can understand. I didn't want my family to go rogue either because of me." Sam answered to whatever was written down.

"I can't believe your alpha kicked you out when your god injured protection in his pack. What does it matter if you can't talk? You can still do everything else." Sam says, and I am shocked by what he says.

Sam looks at the paper again and nods his head.noveldrama

"Your mate? He has her?" Sam sounds even more shocked, and the rouge writes something more.

"No! Fuck. Can't the rouge king help you?" Sam asks, and the rouge shakes his head.

"What pack were you from?" Sam asks, and I thank him in my head for asking. "Crimson Pack?" Sam asks after reading it, and I remind myself to remember it.

They talk a little more, all while Sam does his best to give us clues. They do their hunting and bring it back to where the rouges are hiding. And see big mountains, bigger than the ones we have here nearby. But then he disappeared, dammit.

I slowly pulled out until I was clear around the people here in the room with me. I look at Madeleine first and kiss her, knowing I wouldn't have been able to do this without her. And then I look at everyone else.

"Sam, okay, and yes, he found them. He was out hunting with another rouge." I start, and Mom relaxes.

"He was trying to show and tell me where they are. First, he just said mountains, but I managed to see them just before he disappeared They are HUGE mountains, bigger than here, much bigger." I say, and Dad finds a map.

"The mountains here are the second biggest. It was chosen for the royals because there were better living conditions than by the biggest ones. But the forests got bigger over the many hundreds of years, and-lands got better.” Dad says, pointing to the map showing us an area on it.

I told him everything I saw, and I was very sure that we knew where they were staying. When we were done, I told him about the other rouge, and as expected, Dad got furious.

"You say what? He was banished not only from his family but also his mate?" Dad asked, and I nodded my head.

"For not being able to talk? Dad asks again.

"Yes, he was hurt while protecting the pack," I said, and Dad closed his eyes.

"Sam asked him what pack he was from, and he wrote it down," I say, and Dad looks at me.

"Crimson Pack and the Alpha is keeping his mate for himself," I say, and Dad looks at Kyle.

"Invite the Alpha and his mate here. Find a reason, alliance, or whatever." Dad says.

"Yes, right away," Kyle says.

"We will stop this tyrant. Of all rouges, I understand the anger of this one. Next time you see Sam, try if you can talk to him. Tell him." Dad says.

"Will do," I answer.
