And The Daddy Is… The Infertile Guy?!

Chapter 298

Chapter 298

He frowned and asked, “Why the pills? Don’t want to have a baby with me?”

“No, that’s not it.” Gwendolyn hurried to clarify, “Mr. Chadwick is managing the clinic for me, and I’m afraid I’m spreading myself too thin. I do want to have children with you, but I just wanted to get the clinic running smoothly first, before…”

“Don’t take those pills again, they’re bad for your health.” Material © NôvelDrama.Org.

Howard ruffled her hair affectionately, “You should have told me last night.”

“I was afraid you’d think it wouldn’t be as good,” she mumbled, her eyes downcast and a touch of hurt in:

her voice.

She had gone down the internet rabbit hole, reading all sorts of nonsense about how using condoms could ruin the experience, and guys hated it. She didn’t want their first time to be marred by a bad impression.

“Silly girl, there are so many other ways to play it safe. You’re a doctor, and you should know better.”

Indeed.

Gwendolyn remembered the plethora of birth control methods that didn’t involve a condom.

“Mr. Chadwick, I understand,” she whispered.

“Come on, let’s go for a swim.”

Howard gave her lower back a gentle push, and Gwendolyn obediently headed outside. Howard opened the bedside drawer, took out a box of something, and then left the bedroom.

The Chadwick family’s pool was grand, a good five feet deep.

Gwendolyn stepped into the water, which rose above her shoulders. Clinging to an oversized floatie, she felt utterly secure. Howard lifted her out, saying, “Let’s warm up first.”

“Oh, okay.”

She followed his lead, stretching gracefully, her attractive figure on full display.

“Stretch your arms,” he instructed, his large hand guiding her shoulders, lifting her arms.

Struggling a bit, Gwendolyn lifted her arms as he stood behind her, his dominant male presence enveloping her.

She wiggled her hips bashfully.

“Alright, into the water.”

No sooner had Howard spoken than Gwendolyn was back in the pool. She asked, “Mr. Chadwick, what made you want to teach me to swim all of a sudden?”

“I don’t want you drowning next time.”

He never forgot the incident at the Lopez family’s Sapphire Serenity Lake and took time out of his busy schedule to teach her swimming.

Howard was indeed a strict instructor, not cutting her any slack.

Forced to correct her strokes and swim back and forth, Gwendolyn’s body ached all over. She stretched her limbs, stroke by stroke, learning the simple breaststroke. It was hard to say whether it was due to excellent teaching or natural talent, but she soon got the hang of it and could manage a couple of laps.

“Good enough,” Howard finally said.

Gwendolyn rested at the edge of the pool, gasping for air. Swimming was exhausting, and she had seen his relentless side, and no amount of pleading would sway him.

She looked up at him with soft eyes, only to see Howard extending his hand.

“Come on up.”

Taking his hand, she let him pull her out. With a little momentum, she fell right into his embrace, the contact of their skin bringing back memories of the previous night’s passionate battle.

“Rest a bit. I’ll help you relax your muscles,” Howard gestured towards the poolside lounge chair.

Gwendolyn obediently lay down on the chair, her body’s curves showcased beautifully. Howard bent slightly, his hands kneading the muscles in her legs.

“That hurts,” she exclaimed.

“It’ll feel better in a moment,” he assured her.

She gritted her teeth through the soreness, then released a sigh of relief, unaware of the change in his gaze upon her.

“Gwendolyn, I haven’t met my exercise quota for today,” he said slowly.

Propping herself up on her elbows, she looked at him, only to be wrapped in his warm, strong arms as his lips claimed hers with assertive passion.
