Chapter 6 His Warmth
Devin is not the kind of considerate man. After getting married with her, he has never been taken care of as tenderly as other men's boyfriend or husband.
Even after she got out of the car at the hospital gate, he drove away without saying hello.
By the time she turned around, the magnificent military Land Rover had fled far away.
Tan You, a doctor of liver and gallbladder surgery next to her, saw her turning to see the military Land Rover. She was curious and said, "Doctor Ella, does that your new boyfriend?"
Ella thought that although she had already got married with this man. However, the man just left as fast as he could when he put down her, without a greeting. She thought that he might not want others know her relationship with him.
Then she opened her mouth and smiled at Tan You. "No, a patient, take me by the way."
Tan You listened and did not go on asking.
Ella just arrived in the department, the white coat collar has not been sorted out when the aunt Gu Fenfang called.
She twisted her eyebrows and answered the phone.
Over there Gu Fenfang heard the phone being answered and began to ask Ella Hill fiercely, "Why do you absent the blind date yesterday?"
"I just have something to do at the time."
She had said this to Gu Fenfang before.
Gu Fenfang thought that the niece would agree anyway, but surprised that Ella would not go and did not respect her as an aunt at all.
Gu Fenfang was blocked over there.
Ella didn't talking too much, and immediately said, "Aunt, it's time for my ward round. I'll hang up first."
Gu Fenfang was even more annoyed when she heard that her phone had been hung up.
When Ella hung up the phone, she turned it off and locked it in the drawer. Then go to the ward with the director of the department.
Although she has no background in general surgery, she has always worked hard and has a good relationship with her colleagues and directors.
So the Director and the Dean had more trust in her during the major operation.
The director added a excision operation to her temporary in the afternoon.
By the time she finished the operation, it was dark outside.
Weary and tired, she changed her surgical clothes from the dressing room and hungrily went out, ready to eat in the roadside restaurant and then go back.
But Ella didn't realize that just after she went out, a tall man coming up with a slightly unhappy voice and said, "Why did you come out so late? Shouldn't it be six o'clock? Look, it's half past seven."
Ella Hill was somewhat surprised to fix her eyes on him.
It happened that Devin was standing in front of her, dressed in a cigarette-grey sweater and black overalls, with an open black woolen overcoat.
Ella looked at him, a little stunned.
The man's beautiful brow frowned, and a pair of deep eyes looked at her: "Why stunned? It's so cold outside, don't you take the car?”
Ella listened to him urging in such a tone of voice that she smiled and said, "OK."
Devin wondered why Ella Hill was smiling.
When Ella got on the car, she took a little breath and felt the warmth of the air conditioning in the car. Her lips raised a little higher.
Devin was not gentle enough for her, but there was a kind of warmth that touched her.
