Chapter 39
When Ava awoke, it was dark. She felt dizzy. She opened her eyes to find herself in his arms, his warm, even breath stroking the nape of her neck.
She took Jeorge Milton’s hand and perched on the windowsill, stunned.
Jeorge Milton awoke with his hands on his side. It was void.
He squinted again, scanning his surroundings. Then he saw she was on the balcony. Her long hair was swaying in the breeze…
The doorbell interrupted his reading, sending tremors through his emotions.
Then Ava turned back and saw Jeorge Milton had awoken.
She approached the door silently, and when she peeked through the wall and saw Goden Bran’s face, she was stunned!Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
Was he there?
Avawas afraid to enter.
The doorbell rang. Ava was afraid to open the door.
“Ava!”
“Ava!”
Outside, his inebriated whooshing was followed by his fist slamming the door. The noises seemed to touch Ava.
Jeorge Milton exited and was ready to open the door when he heard a noise outside.
She halted him, tapped the doorknob, and shook her head pleadingly. “Please.”
Jeorge Milton’s heart sank as he saw her face.
Did she really love him?
Could she ever forgive Goden Bran after all he had done to her?
He didn’t want to ask, so he stepped into the living room, generating a stir.
Goden Bran drank heavily and knocked. After a long time, he opened the door but sat next it.
So why wasn’t he joyful today?
He had already made up his mind to marry Belli Tannu.
When Belli Tannu, in her bridal gown, exited the locker room, he thought of Ava.
Was it because she was his first wife?
He had no idea he could recall Ava’s bridal gown so vividly.
He drank heavily at the bar and got a driver. He should’ve gone home, but he didn’t.
For the first time, he noticed the house was very cold.
Her home has no front door yet.
Goden Bran raised a sour smirk. After a little rest, he rose up and proceeded down the steps.
Avaunlocked the door, seeing him go through the crack. His eyes were somewhat wet.
But why did he come knocking on her door?
Isn’t he ambitious? Just hug another woman and plan her future.
Why was this? Is he drunk?
She didn’t want to hear him. “I’ll go purchase anything you want to eat,”she murmured, as she moved past him and into the bedroom.
“Don’t bother, I’m not hungry.”
“”How about we go to a movie?”
“Enough!”
Avalost her patience, saying, “I don’t want to go. Please, Jeorge Milton, leave me alone! ”
How could she be so cheerful now?
Her impatience made him uneasy, particularly because of another guy.
His dark eyes became dull, and his face turned gloomy and terrifying, with a trace of fury on it.
Do you want to sleep on Goden Bran’s bed?!
“I am exhausted, you just go out of here,” Ava said, lowering her head.
She finished speaking and was going to leave.
His huge palm unexpectedly grasped her arm.
It felt as if he intended to crush her bones, so she grimaced, trying to fight free but not letting go “What’s up, Jeorge Milton?”
“Do what I’ve always desired!”
Ava turned her head to the side, resting her hands on his chest, just as he was ready to bend down and kiss her.
The hot, moist kiss adhered to her face, a bit of a punishing kiss on her neck, rolling her over. She tried, but couldn’t get out of his grasp.
As they drew closer, Ava’s leg was crushed against the couch, and he kissed her, immobilizing her.
“Jeorge Milton, go.”
“You said you wouldn’t touch me…”
She was terrified by his forceful looting, and despite her best efforts, she was unable to push him away.
“But I’ve changed my mind,” he said roughly.
He couldn’t stand to watch her in love with that guy, so he waited till she was ready.
Goden Bran had a way of affecting her heart and emotions, even though he was nothing!
He couldn’t resist his jealousy, wanting her now, she belonged to him!
He reached to knot her trousers, but she shoved him away, clutching her nightclothes, and he caught up to her in two steps.
“Leave.”
“Do you truly want to lay on Goden Bran’s bed?”
His words pierced her.
As Ava tried to grasp anything, her palm anxiously swung around, towards his head.
Jeorge Milton sighed, raising his eyebrows in shock, his dark eyes filled with bewilderment.
Ava had only now realized her glass was empty.
Who knew it would become a weapon she would use to hurt Jeorge Milton today.
“I…”
He let go of her, turned around, grabbed up his suit jacket, and went.
The room became silent again.
It was as peaceful as a storm, but more terrible.
Her clothing were torn by him and fell down her shoulders as she clenched her chest and gazed blankly at the blood on the glass…
He was the one driving her to harm him like this.
Jeorge Milton returned home in a state of astonishment, saw Feru bringing the woman in, and violently tossed his jacket on the couch, then yelled at Feru who was laying on the sofa, “Damn you all!”
Feru was stunned by the blood on his face and his rage.
“Let’s go, let’s go have some fun someplace else,” he said, pulling the petite beauty next him up.
He drew the woman and walked towards the door, but he could still hear the woman complaining “You said this is your home. Who is he? Why are you yelling at us to run? ”
“Stop whining, my darling. Let’s leave, I’ll find a better spot for you to play.”
Jeorge Milton reclined back on the couch, his feet on the tea table, and drew a cigarette from his pocket, but did not light it.
Why did he feel possessed to be with her?
Her personality was still obstinate and disobedient!
She was less likely to look him in the eye while disputing with him!
Why does he want to see her so badly?
Is it because she resembled Kacy?
