CHAPTER FORTY SEVEN
“Of course, it is really bad… I could not fix the picture earlier when I saw Christina… she acted weird,” Luca said.
“She asked me questions like if Mr. Gavriel suffers from mood swings and if he sustains happiness from hurting or making other people feel bad,” Luca added.
“Well, of course, what was your answer to that question?” Zoey asked, and Luca signed.
“I said the opposite… I did not tell her the truth… I told her that Mr. Gavriel would not go to the extent of hurting other people or making them sustain injuries,” Luca explained.
“Geez, how could you? You should have told her the truth… she works hand in hand with Mr. Gavriel, so she has the right to know what type of boss she has. As we all know Mr. Gavriel, none of us can stand being in the same room with him for thirty minutes, not to mention that now that she has signed a contract, she is probably going through hell,” Phillip said furiously.
“Bro, calm down… I could not just tell her… I did not know where to start telling her from, and if Mr. Gavriel finds out that I told her stuff about him, I will probably get fired, and that’s not all,” Luca explained.
“Luca, what exactly is the main story here?” Anabelle asked.
“She sustained an injury, a burn, but she did not tell me that… I found out without her knowledge. She said Mr. Gavriel poured her a glass of hot black tea because he claimed that she put sugar in the tea when she did not. That is so abnormal of our boss. ” Luca added.
” What?? I cannot believe this! That burn would probably leave a scar on her for a very long time,” Anabelle screamed.
“A hot tea!” Zoey exclaimed.
“That is so bad… even if she puts sugar in his tea, it does not warrant him to do that to her because today is her first day,” Phillip claimed.
“Exactly, but the issue is that she said she made sure there was no sugar in the tea, and we all know that Mr. Gavriel’s tea counter does not accommodate sugar,” Zoey emphasized.
“Mr. Gavriel is just being wicked… what would that poor girl have done to him in her past life or this present life that she has to go through this? It is so uncalled for, and I am just beginning to hate Mr. Gavriel,” Zoey added.
“But Luca, can you explain what you meant by what you found out without her knowledge? Zoey asked as she gave a facial expression, saying, ‘ I did not know you could go to this extent ‘.
“Well, she covered the sustained injury with her jacket, but I managed to have a slight view of it, but Christina did not know,” Luca explained as the picture of Tina’s chest appeared on his head.
” God! Luca “You should have just informed her about it,” Phillip insisted.
“Please guys, can we stop arguing? It would not solve any problem, okay? The problem here is that no matter what we say, we still cannot approach Mr. Gavriel or confront him. We cannot approach Mr. Gavriel, and since I am in charge of the employees’ affairs in this company, I would have complained to him, but the culprit here is the boss himself and no one else. I cannot report him to himself, so this means I cannot involve myself in this, but there is one thing we all can do for her… ” Anabelle said, and they all looked up at her as she nodded and supported her chin with her hand.
“That is to look at for her,” Anabelle added.
“Yeah, you are right… you should not risk your job, or we should not risk our jobs because of this,” Phillip said.
“Exactly, because we will all get fired, so the best thing to do, as Anabelle said, is to look out for her,” Luca said.

After the successful meeting, Mr. Gavriel walked Mr. Jisaan and his secretary to their car and bid them farewell, after which he went to the spot where his car was packed by Christina and entered the car.
He met her sleeping peacefully as she made the driver’s seat go down flat so she could lay down properly facing upwards.
‘I see, you seem to know much about operating a car, even though you do not have one,” Mr. Gavriel said to himself as he took a closer look.Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.
She pulled off her jacket and placed it on the steering wheel so she could take in some fresh air as the burn she sustained earlier kept stinging her.
Mr. Gavriel stared at the burn and her perfectly round breasts, which popped up as a result of her lying posture.
He remembered he had to meet up with Raymond. ‘Oh God, dammit, Raymond… shit, he must have been expecting me, and now it is almost 2:30, I have to rest,’ he added as she stared at his wristwatch and then at Christina, who was sleeping and did not know that someone joined her in the car.
“This is bullshit. Christina, Christina!” Mr. Gavriel exclaimed as he shouted her name loudly, and she blinked her eyes.
“Christina, I do not remember asking you to have a nap in my car, so what the hell are you doing?” Mr. Gavriel asked, and still, she did not move. At first, she opened her eyes, then closed them back as she reminisced if Mr. Gavriel was really in the car.
‘Can I not have a nap if I am less busy? I just entered the lion’s den,” she said in her heart as she quietly got up she pulled her jacket from the steering wheel and wore it, then she raised the driver’s seat upwards, back to how it was.
“How dare you sleep in my car?” Mr. Gavriel asked as he looked at her like he was about to swallow her. Tina wanted to say
“Mr. Gavriel, I had a tough day today, so please let me just drive you home. Do not talk to me, and I would not want to believe you are seated here. If you do not mind, I am now driving out on your seat belt.” But hell no, she brought herself not to say that else she would not be able to sleep for the rest of her life.
“I am sorry, sir… it would not happen again… I made a mistake,” Tina said as she buckled up her seat belt.
“Every single second, minute, time, hour, and day that passes by, you just keep on making mistakes… now unbuckle that seat belt and get lost… get out of my car… you can take a cab home… you disgust me.” Mr. Gavriel spat out, and all Tina could do was stare at him in disbelief as her eyes glittered with tears.
She unbuckled the seat belt, picked up her bag and her phone, along with her shoe, which she had pulled off initially as she held all of them in her hands, and hopped out of the car. She was speechless. Immediately after she hopped down from the car, she winced in pain as her feet hurt so badly as a result of the hotness of the tarred floor.
She picked up her phone and ordered an Uber to pick her up, then turned, and Mr. Gavriel’s car was no longer there.
‘God, what have I done to Mr. Gavriel? Why does he hate me so much when I am the one supposed to hate him? I disgust him, he said. “I cannot leave with him like this for a year because he has to stop his harsh attitude towards me. I cannot take this anymore. I can’t. It hurts so much that my heart is being torn apart.” Tina said to herself as she sat by the side of the road and broke down in tears.
Hopefully, the Uber she ordered arrived within ten minutes, then she hopped in and the car sped off.
