Chapter 86
After the day off Sydney felt light and relief although she had now begun to think of her stance with Jaxton.
She wasn’t feeling the vibes with Jaxton anymore.
At every turn, she somehow had her mind on Paxton and that felt like cheating to her
She was energetic because the product they had launched not too long ago had been in high demand and she had to help with the production department as she gave them instructions on what to do and how to label and customise some of the things.
As she entered her office she saw a bouquet waiting for her and she was surprised and taken aback.
First, of she felt it was Jaxton who had kept the flower on her desk.
She made it a note to call him later and thank him but before she could finish having thought he beat her to it.
“Hey babe, did you see the flowers I left for you?”
“Yea I just did thank you so much I love them” big lies her favourites flowers weren’t white roses, if they were red Rose she would have managed them she loved Lilies and dandelions but how would he know when all they did in their relationship was a fight over and over.
“Okay I would get back to work now,” Sydney said and we go stop the call but he halted her trying to say something to her trying to make some jokes but none were as funny as he thought they were.
“We could go out to break you know I miss you so much, and I kiss holding you and making you mine over and over again babe” Jaxton tried to be flirty with her.
But sadly enough those fell on deaf ears as she didn’t want to have anything to do with him but the fact that she had a heart she kept listening to him until she couldn’t anymore.
Sydney dropped the call before he was done.
His jokes were getting bad and bad by the day and she didn’t know how she would get herself out of the mess she found herself in.
As she dropped the call the urge to feel that she and Jaxton was a mistake intensified and she just could not hold it in she was sad and happy at the same time.
What. would be the problem now, how was she going to handle being in the same house if she ever had to choose between the two brothers and she chose Paxton instead of him?
She decided to put them aside and focus on what she had in front of her.
Right now she was going to have to stick with the production before her before she began to think of her personal life.
As she bent to work she received a notification from Jaxton.
“Please let’s have lunch, I know you are busy but you can’t be so busy for us, I have something important to tell you.
Ps, I love you” the message read and Sydney felt like she had a hammer plunged into her how could she remedy this situation she now found herself in?
She didn’t respond to the message, not that she had no plans of responding but she just wanted to have a cool head before she began to respond to it.
Well, this time she was conscious of the time as she worked and kept checking her time and immediately it was lunch time her phone began to blast.
“Hello Jax, I am almost done where do I meet you?” she asked on the first pick.
“Meet me at the company restaurant, I didn’t want to take you out of the company seems you are extremely busy and I didn’t want to take you too far from where you are supposed to be” Jaxtom explained.
She felt grateful that he considered her but then again she still felt she was doing the wrong thing.
This just didn’t sit right with her she knew she wasn’t happy with Jaxton.
Not after all the shifts, jealousy tantrums and whatnot did the entire employee force know they both had a relationship when after she had wanted that they don’t make mention of it till she was ready.
He was super clingy and made sure to know all of her moves making it difficult to freely discuss and live with him like she was feeling at the moment with Paxton.
She had never voluntarily invited him over to her house but she noticed that with Paxton she did invite him numerous into her home even when he refused to enter but she willingly let him in.
Sometimes she wondered what sex with Paxton would be like because she just didn’t feel so good she was doing it just to cover the fact that they were dating.
Sydney went into the bathroom and washed her face before doing a light touch of her make-up then she walked out of the bathroom and went to take the elevator and as she left she didn’t realise someone had followed her.
She just was interested in making the lunch date snappy and then being back in her office for work.
Left to her she wouldn’t have a home out to lunch but because he had asked she just couldn’t continue standing him up and making it seem like she had begun to lose interest.
“Hey, Pax… Jaxton” she greeted as she realised she had called the wrong name before she corrected herself.
He had not yet said anything as he pulled the chair back and she sat on it.
Typical Jaxton had already ordered food for her and she wasn’t liking it because the food he ordered for her was not what she wanted.
“I ordered food for you,” he said smiling.
“Thank you so much I appreciate the gesture but I don’t want what you ordered for me I want something more vegetable thank you”
“Okay,” he responded looking defeated for a bit before he spoke up again.Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
