Chapter 61: A Happy Occasion & a Missed Appointment

Annetta quickly called Kevin Powell after hanging up the phone, "Uncle Kevin, Leo has signed the

contract."

"That's good," said Kevin. "I have already invested your 50 million dollars along with my 50 million

dollars into 'Imperial Princess'.There aren't many male characters in this drama. Do you want Leo to

star in the drama?"

"No," said Annetta. "Gina Ross, the most famous director in Canda, will direct a movie called 'Hero'

next month. I will personally bring Leo to audition for the second male lead in this movie."

If her memory served her correctly, even though 'Imperial Princess' had been a big hit, it had catapulted

the female cast, particularly the female lead, to stardom. Aside from the actor who played the forty-

year-old emperor, the rest of the male characters had received little attention. Leo had previously won

the Best Supporting Male Actor Award with the film ‘Hero' in the 7th Oscar Academy Awards, which

was the most authoritative film festival in the country.

"Okay! It's up to you," said Kevin. "I'll take your 50 million dollars as your investment into October Material © NôvelDrama.Org.

Entertainment. I'll give half the shares of October Entertainment to you. I'll manage it for you for the

time being, and you can manage the company after you graduate."

"What?" Annetta never expected Kevin to give half the shares to her. She was suddenly moved and

said, "Uncle Kevin, I don't want shares. I want to help you first..."

"I know my Annetta doesn't want shares, but I want to give this to you. After all, I think our little Annetta

has an eye for investment, so I want to invite you to develop October Entertainment with me. Take it as

an invitation to join my company."

Since Kevin had given her an offer she couldn't refuse, in the end, she decided to accept it.

Annetta breathed a sigh of relief after she ended the call. According to how things were going, her plan

had passed the initial stages.

Just then, Ethan walked down the stairs. Annetta stood up from the sofa and ran to his side like a good

puppy, "Ethan, are you going out?"

The man gave her an icy look and walked outside without saying anything.

It was raining heavily outside. Bettina was standing at the entrance. She had prepared an umbrella and

walked to the man's side to hold the umbrella for him.

Ethan was angry at Annetta. She had promised to pick him up from work at the company today, but she

was late.

She had wanted to leave after her interaction with the Coleman twins. But she could not because she

needed to ask Giselle for a leave of absence for missing yesterday's afternoon class and spent some

time dealing with that woman. When she came out, she saw Leo go into the western restaurant to meet

with Lulu.

She could not help herself from following him secretly and had overheard Lulu and Leo's conversation.

Lulu thought that Annetta loved Leo and had wanted to hurt her by asking Leo to leave Annetta.

However, she did not know that Annetta and Leo were just on a cooperation basis.

Annetta, on the other hand, needed to thank Lulu for this move, which had pushed Leo to sign the

contract with her.

Leo's call had arrived earlier than she had anticipated. This was a happy occasion, and the problem

had been resolved. She had, however, irritated Ethan by failing to show up for her appointment with

him. Ethan had ignored her the entire trip back to the Harris house.

Annetta's heart flared the moment she saw Ethan and Bettina standing together like a couple. She

knew that Bettina intended to get close to Ethan. Without a word, she ran over and knocked Bettina

away.

She did not use too much strength, but Bettina fell into the rain like a fragile flower. She looked at

Annetta pitifully and asked, "Why did you push me?"

The men at the door all looked at this scene in surprise.

Annetta, however, ignored her. She opened the umbrella in her hand and said in a pacifying manner to

Ethan, "Ethan, I'll hold the umbrella for you!"

The man did not care that Bettina was on the ground. He only glanced at Annetta coolly. Annetta

immediately smiled sweetly at him. Ethan did not say anything and walked out on his own.

Annetta immediately followed him.
