Chapter 106 en
Bad News Again.
The stars were invisible tonight, hiding behind a thick cloud of blackened clouds. Even so, with the moonlight, it was not as bright as the night before.
They could feel what Lexi was feeling right now. It had been raining heavily in Jakarta since this afternoon.
Seconds changed minutes. Minutes changed hours, and hours would change days. Then, days would alternate with weeks. That time goes on and will never stop, especially waiting for weak people, people who cry and did not immediately move to improve the situation.
Lexi, trying to be patient because Arsene did not immediately answer his question.
“Arsene why are you silent! We need to get to Fredy Kim’s apartment right now. You don’t want to test my patience!” Lexi was furious with eyes full of anger and continued to look at Arsene.
“Sir, we can’t go there now!” Arsee rejected. He lowered his head because he could not return Lexi’s gaze. Instead of fearing the anger of his boss, he was afraid to tell the next news that would most likely make Lexi sadder than before.
“Why!” Lexi insisted harshly he dismissed Arsene tagan from the wheel. His anger and emotion combined. He was furious. He was so angry that Arsene had no intention of helping him.
Arsene looked at Lexi. He swallowed and prepared to say something that had been very hard for him to say. Something more serious than the news of the divorce.
“Tell me what’s wrong? Don’t be silent and don’t look at me like I’m the saddest person in the world!” Lexi snapped hitting the dashboard of the car.
“You have to go to the hospital right now because Mr. Samuel has been in the hospital for three days. He had a heart attack and is still in the ER today,” Arsene said.
“Daddy in the hospital?” Lexi asked. He was shocked. What thing did he have to face first? Not only was the divorce with his wife sudden but he also got news about his father who is currently in the hospital with a bad condition!
“Yes sir, it was Mrs. Anna who asked me not to say anything to you!” Arsene’s words that Lexi didn’t want to blame. The man’s eyes were still red. This was the first time his father, who usually looked strong and healthy, had to enter the ER.
“Then you just follow my mom’s orders? You’re not stupid, are you?” Lexi screamed out of anger at himself.
“Sorry, I have no choice Sir!” Arsene said softly.
“Yes, well now we go to the hospital!” Lexi exclaimed. He was so worried about his father.
“Yes, Sir.” Arsene immediately started the car and immediately ran his four-wheeled vehicle to the hospital.NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.
“When was the last time you went to the hospital?” Lexi asked. For a moment he forgot about his divorce from Jessica. After all, the condition of his father was the most important thing for now.
“I went to the hospital last night to see the doctor. Mrs Anna faithfully always accompanied him, and was always next to him. Since the beginning of the hospital admission three days ago your papa has not been conscious at all and his breath sometimes disappears!” Arsene clearly had no intention of covering up anything from Lexi.
“What is the doctor’s diagnosis?” Lexi asked.
“A disturbance in his heart that was triggered by shortness of breath!” Arsene obviously knew very well that Mr. Samuel liked to smoke and drink coffee.
Lexi closed her lips. He just hoped his father would wake up soon. That way he could focus on his relationship with Jessica.
Arsene pressed the gas pedal. He drove the car at full speed. He needed to go to the hospital. Suddenly, a phone call came from Anna.
“Hello,” Arsene said, sliding the phone screen switches it to loudspeaker mode.
“Hello, Have you picked up Lexi?” Mrs Anna asked from across the phone. Her voice sounded trembling.
“Yes, Ma’am. Mr. Lexi is next to me and we are on our way to the hospital!” Arsene replied.
“Mom, we’re going to the hospital!” Lexi added who also listened to the mother’s.
“You have to go to the hospital immediately, dad is conscious and immediately asks Lexi. Lexi, come quickly it seems dad misses you very much Son, ” Mrs. Anna said. She tried not to show herself who was sobbing.
“Mom, we’re going to the hospital soon!” Lexi said.
“Well I wait, oh, Dad can be transferred to the treatment room, his condition has been stable in the last six hours,” mother said.
“Yes, Mom.”
The phone call ended and Lexi could breathe a sigh of relief after hearing from her mom about her dad’s condition that had improved. At least he’s not worried anymore.
Arsene focused on driving while Lexi kept looking out the window busy with her own thoughts. After about twenty minutes of travel, they arrived at the hospital where Mr Samuel was treated.
Arsene stopped his car in the hospital parking area. He saw the clock on the watch in his right hand already showed almost nine o’clock at night.
Both of them rushed out of the car, then, they were halfway to the elevator. When the elevator door closed, Lexi pressed the fourth floor button corresponding to the papa’s treatment room.
The means of transportation in the building delivered the two men to their destination floor. When the elevator door opened Lexi and Arsene walked quickly out and immediately stepped into the dad treatment room.
There’s the maid who’s getting ready to greet him. There was a security guard standing next to him.
“Mr Lexi is home,” he said, so happy to see Lexi in front of his eyes.
“Yes,” he said.
“Mr. Lexi better come in, Mr. Samuel and Mrs. Anna have been waiting for your arrival since earlier,” the maid said with a relieved expression. Lexi’s arrival would surely make Mrs. Anna and Mr. Samuel felt calm.
“Okay, I’ll go inside soon, the maid and security just go home now!” Lexi said .
Then he stepped towards the door. There was Arsene behind him who also wanted to come into the room to find out the condition of his father.
The door opened.
He found her mother sitting next to his father. His father seemed to be closing his eyes with a supine reclining sleeping position.
There was an infusion needle on the back of the left hand. There’s an oxygen tube that helped him breathe.
Lexi, who had never seen his father look weak, walked over. He wanted to make sure his dad’s safe.
