Don’t Fall for the Billionaire Lover

Chapter 1032

"I know I lied to you, but those were just white lies. Haven't we been happy these past two years?"

Chloe shook her head. "A lie is a lie, Lucas. You weren't protecting me-you were protecting yourself. You never once thought about what I wanted. You think I've been happy these last two years? I haven't. I keep having the same dream, over and over—a child crying, echoing in my head. On the outside, everything looks peaceful, but inside, I feel empty. You have no idea what it's like to not remember your own past. It's a hollow kind of loneliness. That's what I've been living with these two years. I've felt completely alone."

Her calmness made Lucas feel like he was looking at a stranger.

"Grayson, I'm going to find my past. I'm done living in the perfect little cage you built for me."

Lucas was stunned. All this time, he thought they were happy, content, safe. He never imagined Chloe felt lonely.

But he couldn't let her go. His voice broke. "If you leave, what am I supposed to do? What about Aaron?"

Chloe's voice stayed steady. This wasn't a snap decision-she'd spent three days thinking it through. Honestly, even if Lucas and Connor hadn't told her the truth today, she still wouldn't have stayed with Lucas.

"I'm an adult, Lucas. I'm responsible for my own future, and so are you. As for Aaron, I'm taking him with me."

Her words hit him hard.

Aaron was standing right there, listening. It didn't matter what language they spoke-Aaron understood everything. He just knew his mom said his dad lied to her, but he didn't understand what had really happened. His little brows drew together in worry.

Then Lucas had an idea. He pulled Aaron close and knelt down, desperation in his voice. “Aaron, your mom wants to leave me. Can you help me talk to her? Ask her to stay, please?"

Aaron's face was serious. "Dad, did you really lie to Mom?"

Lucas froze. Aaron had always been the kind of kid who saw things in black and white-right was right, wrong was wrong, no gray areas.

Lucas stumbled over his words. “I only lied because I love your mom. I just wanted us to stay together, the three of us."

Aaron shook his head. "Dad, if you lied to Mom, and she can't forgive you, then I can't, either."

He walked over to Chloe and took her hand, looking up at her with grown-up determination. "Mom, I'll go with you."

Chloe looked down, brushed his hair back, and gave him a sad little smile. "Alright. Let's go."

Lucas felt his legs go weak.

Just then, the private flight

attendant walked over. "Mr. Antonio, the plane is about to take is about to take off. Please

But Lucas snapped, voice raw and angry, "Get out. All of you, just leave me alone!"

Chloe walked out of the airport,

Aaron by her side. She saw a tallet

Now, as they faced each other again, there was so much unsaid between them.

Connor kept his expression casual, like he was just making small talk. “So, what now?"

Chloe took a breath, steady and sure. "I want to go home with you."
