Don’t Fall for the Billionaire Lover

Chapter 1112

The Caesar Hotel's ballroom looked straight out of a dream-soft lights,

shimmering crystal, everything bathed in a golden haze.

Chloe guided Connor's wheelchair inside, her pale yellow dress catching the glow. The color was gentle, almost shy, but on her it looked quietly stunning.

They were ushered to the main table, right up by the stage. Seated with them were members of both the Shaw and Sartori families, plus Chloe's own mentor. "Mom, why are you guys sitting here?" Chloe asked, a little bewildered.

She'd already thought it was a bit much having the whole Sartori family at the main table. After all, this was Isaac and Taylor's wedding. But with Taylor's only brother, Grant, still in prison, it made sense that her family would fill in.

But seeing her mom, Leah, and her aunt Ann at the head table too? That was unexpected.

And then there was Antonio, Tara, and Joshua-all invited, all seated right up front. Chloe respected them all, but this whole arrangement felt a little over the top.

Ruby leaned in with a reassuring smile. "Don't worry. It's all planned. Taylor's fine with it. She said she doesn't have any family left, and she didn't want to give the guests anything to gossip about. So she borrowed your family for the night."

Chloe let out a breath she didn't even know she was holding. If Taylor was okay with it, then so was she.noveldrama

The MC took the stage, the lights shifting. The room buzzed with anticipation-the ceremony was about to start.

But Chloe couldn't focus. Tim was a whirlwind tonight, darting around, demanding attention, getting into everything. Before she knew it, he'd managed to spill a whole glass of red wine down the front of her dress.

Aaron hovered nearby, looking flustered, wanting to help but not sure how.

Chloe scolded Tim, but he

immediately clung to her arm, eyes wide and pleading. "Mama, I'm sorry! I'll be good, I promise. I love you the most! You're the prettiest queen in the whole world!"

Chloe tried to keep a straight but one look at Tim-those big, watery eyes, so full of

innocence-and her fru nét

melted away.

Cassie hurried over. "You need to change. Use the bride's dressing room. There are plenty of gowns in there."

The hotel's bridal suite was stocked with dresses, and since Taylor and Chloe were about the same size, borrowing one made sense.

Chloe slipped away to the dressing room, expecting it to be empty-but Taylor was already there.

The moment Taylor saw her, something sharp flickered in her eyes, almost like she'd been waiting for Chloe.

"Chloe, your dress is ready! Come try it on," Taylor called out.

Chloe paused. "How did you know I needed a dress?"

It was weird-Taylor acted like she'd known all along.

Taylor grinned, a little sheepish. "Isaac texted me. I heard what happened."

Chloe frowned. Wasn't Isaac busy getting ready on stage? When did he have time to notice the wine and message Taylor?

Before she could puzzle it out, Taylor took her hand and led her to a rack of dresses.

The one Taylor held out was

familiar-the white silk evening

gown Chipe had picked out for her

ages ago. Simple, yet impossibly

elegant. Thin straps, soft silk that

skimmed her curves, the fabric falling in gentle waves like moonlight on a sleepy lake. Effortless, but somehow regal.
