Chapter 10: It Was Your Fault
“It was your fault! Why should I be punished?” Kylie grabbed the blanket to cover her naked body when she realized that she was fully dressed.
She stared back at Lord Ethan. He simply lay there with his arms out. There was some special mark on his chest.
He did have such a nice body! Broad shoulders, a tight waist, eight abdominal muscles… she found him very attractive. Such a hot body!
Kylie swallowed hard. After realizing that she had been staring at his body for such a long time, she turned her head and quietly wiped her wet lips.
Her face turned from red to a deeper red.
Lord Ethan was satisfied with the way she behaved. He smiled, then became cold again. “It was you who held me, and tried to do something with me last night.”
Kylie admitted that she found him handsome, but that didn’t mean she would try to get him like that. What’s more… Kylie stared at him, ferociously.
“I held you? So why are you in my bed? I believe you had your own purposes, and that’s why you’re in my home in the first place!”
Ethan braced himself and sat up. He teased his hair with his long fingers and lifted his head. His eyes had the power to suck someone in, like long hallways.
“Dear Miss Finch, I don’t know if you noticed, but you’re in my bed.”
Kylie glanced up at Pupu lying on the sofa, then glanced at the door of her bedroom, just down the hall.
She was in the living room! She was in the living room!
How could this be? Is it possible that she went to the bathroom late last night, and didn’t return to her room, but slept on the floor with Lord Ethan?
That was the only explanation unless she had sleepwalked.
Pupu wagged his tail. He held her slippers in his mouth and barked happily.
Yup! But even if she had tried to do something to him, he still had ways of resisting her advances. He was very strong, after all!
Kylie sat in silence for a while, then continued: “I… I… sometimes I sleepwalk… But you’re a strong man. You could have resisted!”
“Yes, I’m a man.” Ethan stood up like a giant. He slowly put on his clothes. “It wasn’t so bad for me, so I can’t find a reason to hold it against you.”
“…”
If the killing was legal, she would cut Ethan into pieces!
What the fuck had he said? He knew what had happened, but he wanted her to take responsibility.
“I told you, I’m not going to marry you!” she said. Although she didn’t know what had happened last night, she knew he was trying to coerce her to marry him, and it wasn’t going to work!
It did bother her a bit that she was being pestered by such a perfect man, who was so rich and famous.
She moved to her room, step by step when she heard a cold voice saying: “Are you sure…”
“Nope!” she cut him off. “I said nope! Kylie continued moving. She didn’t believe that he would kidnap her and bring her to the Civil Affairs Bureau.
“I can see the headlines now,” he says behind her, “An Infamous Actress Takes Measures To Seduce The Successor of Some Great Family.”
Kylie stopped and almost blacked out. She turned back to see that Ethan was clothed.
The man in a white shirt and black pants pushed her into a corner. He was so tall and perfect, like something unreal.
The man’s left hand was in his pocket, and his right hand held his phone out towards her. She felt a sinking feeling the moment she saw the words he had typed and was about to send.
“Damn you!”
Kylie rushed at him, before realizing that he was holding her so hard, she could barely move her legs.
Before she could do something, her body had fallen closer to his.
She tried to reach out and grab him. But Ethan simply stood aside and left her alone.
Bang!
Kylie fell down on the floor. Luckily, there were two quilts on the floor, so she wasn’t hurt.
She was down, and he was up. He stood straight, looking at her as a god looked at a human. Of course, Kylie had to admit to herself that he was a psycho, no matter how good-looking.
“What do you want from me!” she asked, out of her mind.
On his phone, there was a photo of Kylie biting his face. Why hadn’t he pushed her off, instead of taking pictures?
Kylie thought it must have been Ethan, purposefully holding her like this to fake a scene. It must have been!
How dare he threaten her in this way; by making her marry him, or else publish the headline and photo. What the hell! Kylie was scared of him, as he led her out the door of her apartment.
He was tall, but he didn’t walk quickly. It seemed as though he was happily floating on air. Elliot respectfully opened the door of the Knight XV for them.
“Congrats Lord Ethan and Mrs. Parker.”
Pupu was wagging his tail as he jumped into the back seat.
Kylie stepped forward and got into the SUV before Ethan. “Lord Ethan…” Kylie was about to say something but stopped.
Elliot was about to get in but stopped when he saw Ethan’s expression.
“What?” Ethan asked, with no more emotion on his face.
Kylie had thought he was in a good mood a mere few seconds ago; how could he change his mood so quickly? She considered what to say; she didn’t want to sound unpleasant.
“Well, we married fictitiously, right?”
Ethan looked at her coldly.
Kylie was just like a spring: you pushed her down once, and she only bounced more highly. But he wasn’t in a rush since he had been planning this for years.
“Three years,” the man confirmed.
Kylie played with her fingers and felt nervous. She glanced at him. “Well, if we’ve been pretending to be married for so long already, what’s the rush to really get married?”
“I’ll give you the treasure, even if you don’t marry me. I’ll make your life comfortable.”
“But it’s not my money!” She became happy, hearing what he said.
“My money is yours,” he said.Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.
And I’m yours, she thought.
Ethan was silent for a while, then continued: “Besides, you’ll get a certain amount of money each month.”
“Really?” Kylie smiled with satisfaction and opened the car door. “Deal! I’m going to work! Call me back!”
She jumped out of the Knight XV and rushed towards the road, where she hailed a taxi.
“Lord Ethan, should I follow Mrs. Parker?” Elliot asked, opening the door.
“Nope!” Ethan tried to hide the happiness in his eyes. “To the Century Building,” he commanded in a cold voice.
