Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 992

"Really?" Jules chuckled angrily, his beard practically vibrating. "A distinguished professor title, and you think Flora cares? We practically had to beg her to accept it!"

"Forget about a distinguished professor; if she wanted, I'd hand over the dean's job to her in a heartbeat!"

"And who do you think you are, belittling her like that?"

Jules was already in a foul mood after overindulging at the Golden Hotel and dealing with the resulting stomach issues. He was planning to grab some medicine from Mr. Richard when he overheard Blake's remarks, which sent him into a frenzy. Blaming everything on Flora? Could she really have the nerve to say that?

He let loose with a barrage of criticism, leaving Blake completely flabbergasted.

She was mortified.

Blake couldn't wrap her head around why Mr. Richard and Jules were so fiercely protective of Flora.

Jules even mentioned he'd gladly offer Flora the dean's position at the Medical College!

All because she's some global champ?

Blake, who'd been teaching for a decade and had over ten FCI papers under her belt, couldn't even land a full professorship. Yet, here Flora was, waltzing in as a distinguished professor. How could Blake come to terms with that?

Taking a deep breath, Blake gritted her teeth and said, "I was just voicing my concern. Other than that one competition on Lone Island, what else has Flora done? No academic papers, right? Making her a distinguished professor is absurd, and it's not just me; other faculty members won't go for it either!"

"Right, Professor Wilson?"

Just then, a teacher delivering some documents peeked in, noticing the charged atmosphere, and was about to slip away when Blake spotted her.

The teacher cursed Blake under her breath, and under Mr. Richard and Jules' watchful eyes, she forced a smile and said, "Oh, no, no, I have no issues with Professor Flora... I mean, Professor Shen, taking on the distinguished professor role. In fact, most of us fully support Professor Flora."

The teacher thought Blake should really know when to back down. Mr. Richard and Jules were clearly siding with Flora, and yet she dared to keep pushing? Plus, Flora's talent was undeniable. At nineteen, she was already making waves. Her future looked incredibly bright. All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.

She was set to further her studies at a medical base, and having her name associated with the University of Maple Grove would only enhance its reputation once she returned with even greater accomplishments. It was a no-brainer.

Blake's persistent objections were obviously fueled by jealousy. Jealous that Flora could effortlessly achieve what she couldn't.

After Professor Wilson spoke, she wisely made herself scarce. Blake remained in the office, her face a mix of green and white, looking as if she'd been slapped. "Got anything else to say? If not, hit the road."

Jules was known for his fiery temper. Mr. Richard had to maintain his composure due to his position, but Jules had no such restraints.

Anyone who insulted Flora would get an earful from him.

Blake, shaking with fury and

frustration, stormed out of the

office. Just as she did, Jules seemed to remember something and suddenly said, "You're Blake, right?"

Blake's face fell even further. After all her years at the University of Maple Grove, he hadn't even bothered to remember her name? She nodded, feeling humiliated.

Jules sneered, "I figured as much. Just so you know, it was my vote that shot down your full professorship application."
