Gina, And Her Triplet Alphas

Chapter 8

Jasmine.

As the time for dinner approached, I found myself contemplating whether I wanted to go. What if this turns out to be one of their silly games?

Despite still having bad b***d with my three mates, I found myself a little excited to be invited by them.

I was just in the process of applying makeup to my face when Mia walked into the room.

“Hey girl!” she called out excitedly.

“Where the hell have you been? I scolded her, feigning annoyance.

“You’re helping me out with the special birthday dinner to celebrate you,” she said.

“Oh God, seriously, I don’t even know what to say,” I said, turning to look at myself in the mirror.

“Well, I will say you should trust the process and enjoy the evening. Don’t forget to tell me all that happened in the morning,” she said.

“Wait, you are coming to the dinner, right?” I asked, getting a little paranoid.

“No. They are the ones that ruined your birthday, so it is solely their responsibility to make up for it,” she said, blowing me a k**s and walking out of the room before I could stop her.

Ok, this is going to be a lot harder than I thought. How the f**k am I supposed to act normal by myself in the presence of my super hot friends?

It is easier to act bossy around them while I am mad at them or with other people around, but I was so completely unsure of how I would act now that I think they are trying to be normal.

They are not supposed to know that I like them. Wait, I don’t like them.

But why is part of me feeling so enthusiastic about going to this dinner, and why was I trying hard to look beautiful?

It almost feels like I want them to like me; I even went out of my way to wear a tight silk gown that hugged every curve of my body.

I sighed, leaning on the dresser while trying to tell myself it was okay to accept their dinner proposal.

I took a deep breath and decided to just do whatever it takes to get this evening over and get on with it. I shouldn’t be overly excited, or I would be found out.

They had asked me not to come out of my room until they called me because they were getting everything ready. So when I was done, I just pulled on my dress and sat on my bed, waiting.

Just then, I heard someone hurriedly move past my door.

“When the hell are you boys going to be done?” I shouted so they would hear me through the door. “I’m tired of waiting!”

“We’re almost done!” I heard a voice shout back, but I couldn’t make out exactly who it was through the door.

It wasn’t even three minutes later that I heard shouts from outside.

“You can come out now!”

I sighed with my lips, paused, and leaned down to put on my shoe before getting up and looking into the mirror one more time.

I let out a breath and then made my way to the door.

I opened it but saw that they weren’t in front of my door like I expected, and my eyebrows furrowed.

I walked towards the stairs and started to walk down before I realized that they were waiting for me at the end of the stairs.

The three of them were lined up, looking handsome in their blazers and matching jeans. I had never actually seen them look so good and responsible.

They were looking innocent—almost too innocent.

I had subconsciously stopped in my tracks as I stared at them before catching myself and moving forward again.

I could feel the brothers’ staring intently at me. I was sure they were shocked by what I had worn.

I hardly ever wear dresses, and to be honest, this was the first time I would be wearing this particular one since my mother bought it for me.

I had brought it along when Mia asked me to come with her because her parents were always fond of organizing parties, and I didn’t want to be left out.

When I got to the foot of the stairs, Zane offered me his hand with a smile, but I completely ignored him while trying to look out for where the dinner was taking place.

Did I mention that I was starving? They had earlier told me that I should not bother eating because they were going to cook for me.

Hopefully, I don’t die of food poisoning.

They led me through the sitting room through the back door outside to the garden, and honestly, I was stunned by the sight before me.

They had put effort into transforming the garden into a beautiful love nest.

It was all decorated with beautiful, colorful lights that gave you the feeling of being somewhere special at first sight.

They also decorated the whole place with pots of beautiful flowers, balloons, and ribbons. I had to give it to them; the scenery was beautiful and romantic.

Even though I had thought that they were going to take me out, seeing the effort with which they had transformed the garden left me speechless.

I would never have guessed that they were this creative.Belongs to © n0velDrama.Org.

“Do you like it?” Calix asked after noticing how I was admiring the place.

“Yeah, it’s nice, thanks. So, where do I go?” I asked as I turned back to look at him.

The moment I turned, I noticed how they were checking out every curve of my body, and their dominant stares sent shivering waves all over me.

“Oh, this way,” Calix said as he moved and led me to the table that had been arranged at the center of the garden.

As soon as I was close by, Zane pulled out a chair for me to sit on, and Ethan served the wine.

Within minutes, the food was served, and the aroma of the food made my mouth water.

They had prepared some curry sauce, white rice, and grilled turkey.

“Did you guys make this?” I asked after tasting the food.

“Yeah, we did; don’t you like it?” Ethan asked as they stared weirdly at my face for a response.

I wish I could lie and say that I didn’t like it, but that would entirely break them, considering the effort they had put into planning the dinner.

And Yes, the food was amazing; if I didn’t know better, I would have thought their mother prepared it for them.

“It’s nice, thank you,” I said as I picked up a glass of wine and sipped a little.

They all heaved a sigh of relief.

Even though I was trying to understand the sudden change in their behaviors, I could say for sure that it had a lot to do with me spending a lot of time with Noah lately.

I could almost say that they were jealous, but why would they be?

Why the sudden change of heart?

Was it possible that they could feel the bond even now?

I stared at the table while they stared right back at me. The way they were staring was making me uncomfortable—not necessarily uncomfortable, but their stares were making me feel butterflies in my belly. I tried my best to avoid making eye contact.

“You look astonished, Zane said as he chuckled flirtatiously. “…like really, really nice,” he added, dimly staring sexily at me.

“Thank you; you all look nice too,” I said back, seeming unfazed.

“So….” Calix started. “How do you rate all that we made for you tonight?” He asked me, and I looked around before giving him an answer.

I didn’t want them to get the satisfaction of my admitting that they had impressed me.

“It’s just there. I appreciate the effort, though.” I said it nonchalantly.

My words seemed to have gotten to them as their eyes widened. They stared at me in disbelief as I picked up my spoon and started on the rice in front of me.

“But the turkey is good,” I said, not looking up at them.

That seemed to have calmed them down a little bit.

“You’re eighteen. I’d like to ask if you’ve found your mate.” Zane asked, his eyes wide and bright, waiting for my answer.

I wasn’t expecting that question; I was in the process of chewing the food in my mouth when I started choking. They quickly offered me water, which I took.

I pursed my lips and leaned back in my chair, wiping my lips before answering him.

I scoffed and looked down at the table before giving them a reply.

“I haven’t found my mate yet; thank you very much for your concern, and even if I did, I don’t see how it is any of your business.” I frowned.

That seemed to do the trick in shutting both of them up, so they both looked down at the food and continued eating.

“Well, thank God, because for a moment there we thought that Noah was your mate, with the way you have been showering him with love and attention,” Zane said.

“It is his loss, though, because if you were our mate, you would be in our bed right now, and we would be ravaging the s**t out of you,” Ethan said.

My eyes narrowed as I stopped eating again and glared at him.

Ethan hadn’t opened his mouth since the dinner started, but the first thing he said had to be that.

Whenever Ethan opened his mouth to speak, he always had to spit out the crudest, most vulgar things, and I couldn’t handle it every single time.

I can’t believe that is the one thing that has been on their mind all this time, and here I was thinking they had changed for the better.

Ethan needs to learn how to be respectful, but until then, I was not having it.

“I think I just lost my appetite; excuse me,” I said, standing up and pushing my chair back.

I walked away from them without even a glance back.

As I walked back into the house, they tried calling me back, but I acted like I didn’t hear them and continued on my way. I made my way up the stairs, stomping on them with annoyance.

I opened my bedroom door, slammed it shut, and locked it behind me. I threw my purse and shoes to one side of the room.

I grabbed some wipes and took off my makeup. I had no plans to go back downstairs.

I felt stupid agreeing to go to dinner with them. I can’t believe that the only reason they were trying to be friends with me was because of my sudden closeness with Naoh.

This only proves that they do not genuinely care about me and that they were always going to be idiots.

I f*****g hate my friends.
