Chapter 406
Fortunately, Austin was now satisfied after sharing a kiss with Suzanne.
Suzanne pushed him away, smiling. Then, she looked toward Lucas and said to him politely, "Thank you, Mr. Jensley."
When Lucas picked his precious phone back up, Suzanne was already walking toward him. "What kind of photos did you have in mind?"
It was just some photos. She wasn't going to be that petty, unlike a certain man who would get mad over little matters.
Lucas' eyes lit up immediately. He nodded enthusiastically. "You're still the best, Suzanne."
He touched up Suzanne's lipstick as quickly as he could before photographing her while worrying that she'd change her mind.
As Austin looked back toward Suzanne, who was having her photos taken by Lucas, the iciness in his eyes had melted into a pool of tenderness.
Suzanne worked with Lucas to get a few photos taken. Thereafter, Lucas browsed through the photos. Feeling satisfied, he thanked her repeatedly.
After all was done, Suzanne directed her attention back toward Austin. In a gentle voice, she urged, "We should make a move, Mr. Hall."
They had to travel some distance. If they left now, they would arrive at approximately the right time.
Austin strode before Suzanne and crooked his arm. Suzanne smiled, lifted her arm, and linked arms with him.
Lucas walked the pair to the door joyfully. Waving at Suzanne, he said, "Come by more often when you're free, Suzanne."
She was such a gentle and beautiful woman while that friend of his, Austin, was just plain cold and aloof.
Gabriel, who had finished his tasks, was now waiting for the couple in front of the car. When he noticed the styled-up Suzanne, he was momentarily dumbfounded.
It was the frosty look that Austin gave him that snapped him back to his senses. He shuddered, then scrambled to open the back door of the car.
...
The banquet, held by the Fawley family for Micah's birthday, started two hours later. However, as Micah wasn't keen on making it a big celebration, he only invited some of his peers. He did not invite any of his elders.
As such, the banquet was held at his private estate instead of Fawley Residence.
The main hall at the estate was mainly decorated with fresh blue and white flowers as well as a number of decorative balloons of the same colors.
The young guests showed up in extravagant outfits. With a cocktail in each of their hands, they chatted with one another while some musicians performed a melodious tune that accentuated the elegance of the party.
Cindy stood among the crowd in a bright red dress, holding onto a wine glass as
she chatted softly with the people next to her.
Feeling a little curious, a woman said, "I heard that Jenson Lambert will be coming to the party today. I've never seen him in real life."
Many women's eyes lit up at the sound of Jenson's name. After all, with his face, he was the man of many women's dreams. He was extremely outstanding even within the aristocratic circles.
Cindy was a little surprised to hear that. She said, "I heard that he's a gentleman. What a coincidence that we'll be able to see him today."
The few women smiled and nodded to express their anticipation.
Right at this moment, Jenson showed up at the main entrance in a custom-made suit. The moment Cindy spotted Jenson, she smiled slightly. In a soft voice, she said, "He's here."
As expected, he had the bearing of a gentleman. Compared to his appearance on-screen, his face looked much more sculpted.
The eyes of many of the women around filled with excitement. However, because
of their respective identities, they held back from overreacting.
But at this moment, a woman
appeared out of the blue from
behind Jenson. She was wearing a short, white dress and had her hair down While she appeared den ure, she also gave off a slight air of playfulness. Her appearance was outstanding as well.
Everyone furrowed their brows. Who was this woman?
Not only that, but she was standing by Jenson's side.
Cindy was the only one who recognized the woman. Subconsciously, her face dropped a little. She couldn't believe that Seline and Jenson knew one another. With a presentable smile on her face, Seline stepped forward and linked arms with Jenson. Softly, she urged, "Wait for me, Jenson."noveldrama
Jenson slowed his pace so that Seline could catch up to him.
This made many of the guests gasp in surprise. It seemed to them that this woman was of quite significant importance to Jenson.
Meanwhile, Seline scanned the party, looking for any signs of Suzanne's presence. Didn't she say that she was coming?
Where was she?
What do you think?
