Hiding the Twins from Their Billionaire Father

Chapter 437

S31 180. Camping at the Beach

“Philip, slow down! You’re going too fast!” Barbara screamed between

breaths.

While chuckling, Philip maintained his speed down the rocky path. His hands were stretched behind him, forming a fence so that his wife

wouldn’t get out of the way or fall.

“Are you afraid of your dreams coming true?”

“Yes!” Barbara said at the top of her voice. “It wouldn’t be funny if we © NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

rolled over here.”

“But you have to hold on, Babe. This trains your leg muscles!”

“This isn’t muscle training. This is courage testing!”

Philip’s laughter returned to the air. “Then, hold on tighter! Let’s increase our speed!”

“Philip!”

Barbara didn’t have time to look anywhere else. She only focused her feet movements. Her lungs worked even irregularly.

Once the terrain was no longer steep, Philip finally slowed down. After stopping, he immediately turned around and hugged Barbara.

“Congratulations, Babe. You managed to conquer another mountain. You’re really great.” He kissed her forehead.

However, Barbara didn’t seem happy. Her chest felt so hot that her lungs were about to burst. “You’re crazy, Philip.”

“It doesn’t matter. The important thing is that you still love me.”

While Barbara laughed through her tight breaths, Philip wiped the

sweat of her face with a handkerchief.

“Phil, I think we need to wash your handkerchief. How many times have you used it to wipe my face? It must be dirty.”

“Actually, I’m a little afraid to wash this. Emily said this is a special handkerchief. We have to wash it carefully. Just rub it lightly or the fibers will be damaged. You know how strong I am. She would definitely cry if she found out I failed to look after her gift properly.”

Barbara chuckled. “Then, let me wash it later. We still have clean water in the van, right?”

Philip nodded. “Okay. Now, let’s focus on setting up the tent.”

the

“Where are we going to build it?” Barbara checked in all directions. Her eyes radiated enthusiasm. However, when she found Shania, curve of her lips turned around.

“It turns out to be their tent?” she sighed in disbelief.

Philip’s face changed too. He didn’t like the girl who was sunbathing in bikini. “She’s completely out of her mind. Just ignore her, Babe. Only stressed people would want to bask under this hot sun and

cold air.”

Barbara nodded stiffly. “Let’s build a tent.”

Realizing that she was being ignored, Shania glanced secretly. However, instead of being annoyed, her lips curled crookedly.

“Now you can ignore me. But later, let’s see. You won’t be able to turn. your back on me.”

Evening came, but the sun still shone brightly. Only its position was closer to the ocean, emitting yellow light that blended with the faded blue of the sky and white of the clouds.

“Isn’t it very beautiful?” Philip whispered as he stirred instant noodles

in a pot of boiling water.

Barbara blinked. She stopped glancing at Shania, turned to Philip. Yeah, and it sure tastes good.”

Philip raised an eyebrow at that response. Tilting his head, he stroked her shoulder. “Why aren’t you focused? I asked whether you thought this view was beautiful or not.”

Barbara blinked stiffly. Biting her lip, she looked down. “Sorry, I didn’t feel safe because she was still there.”

“Why? Are you afraid I’ll turn away from you?”

Barbara shook her head slightly. “I don’t know. I have a bad feeling.”

Philip turned off the stove. While putting his arm around her shoulders, he kissed her temple.

“I think it’s because of that nightmare. Don’t make it a burden, Babe. Now, stop looking at that tent and try to look at the other side. It’s much more beautiful.”

“Okay.” Barbara forced a smile. “Thanks for convincing me.”

“You don’t need to doubt me.”

Barbara nodded. Her eyes brightened again. “Maybe I’m thinking negatively because I’m hungry. Are our noodles cooked yet?”

“Already.” Philip hurriedly lifted the noodles into a container he fou in the campervan. “Be careful, it’s hot.”

While Philip and Barbara ate intimately, Shania kept grumbling. “Hey, Poppy! Why can’t you boil noodles properly? What are we going to eat now? I don’t want to eat these burnt noodles.”

Poppy pursed her lips. Her eyes blinked slowly. “I told you earlier, I wanted to change clothes. I asked you to handle it. You said yes.”

“You know I’m watching the man of my dreams,” Shania said angrily.

“Okay, sorry. Now what do you want me to do? Ask them for noodles? Who knows, they might bring more.”

Hearing that idea, the wrinkles on Shania’s face disappeared. “Yes, it’s better than if we starve. It’s also your fault that you only brought two packs of noodles here.”

Shania stood up. “Come on. You ask them. I’m just accompanying you.”

Noticing Shania’s presence, Barbara immediately glanced at her with a sharp gaze. “What do you want here?” Steam came out from her mouth.

“Sorry to disturb you. I was careless when cooking. Our noodles burned and we didn’t bring more stock. Do you guys have any more

instant noodles?”

“That sounds like an excuse.” Barbara’s eyes narrowed.

Poppy shook her head quickly. “No, this isn’t a setup. We coul starve if you guys aren’t kind to us. We’ll replace it tomorrow w get back to the parking lot.”

“Then why don’t you go home? Or go back to your car. It won’t b anyone else.” Barbara sounded curt.

“In this condition, we could pass out before we reach the parking lo That would be even more troublesome. So, are you willing to share food with us or not?” Shania said, a bit forcefully.

Philip moved from his position. “Babe, wait here. I’ll get noodles for them. If anything happens, just shout out loud.”

Barbara nodded. A second later, she watched Shania.

“Aren’t you cold in such thin clothes?” Barbara looked at her white t-

shirt which was almost transparent.

“Didn’t I tell you? I don’t like heat.”

“But it’s cold here.”

Shania folded her arms in front of her chest. Her eyebrows cocked to one side. “Where do you guys live? Your tolerance for cold seems really low.”

Barbara shrugged. “Why should I tell you? You’ll end up terrorizing my house.”

While Shania snorted, Poppy snapped her fingers. “Do you guys have a spare pot? Our pot is burnt too. I don’t think it can be used anymore. It will take a long time to fix it.”

Shania suddenly raised her hands with burning enthusiasm. “I can ask Philip so he doesn’t have to go back and forth to the tent anymore.”

Before Shania could take a step, Barbara placed her bowl of noodles on the sand and stood up straight. “Let me do it. You guys wait here.”

Shania watched Barbara leave with an annoyed look. Barbara secret felt victorious again. She didn’t know that when she entered the tent Shania’s expression turned cunning. She twitched an eyebrow and Poppy quickly put something into Barbara’s bowl and also the pot.
