I'm Your Sister, Brother Chow

Chapter 60: The Final Memory

Chapter 60: The Final Memory

As soon as she put on her slippers, Vivian lowered her head and rushed back to the wardrobe.

There was nothing else on her mind other than to leave this room as quickly as possible.

She didn't even dare to hope for one last glance at his face anymore.

However, she never thought that Chow would grab her and push her back onto his bed before she

could even run away.

He immediately saw Vivian's tear-streaked face under the bright lights.

Chow hesitated for a moment before the disdain in his eyes grew clearer. "What sort of tricks are you

up to again?"

Vivian turned her head to the side to try hiding her face from Chow, but there really wasn't much she

could do with him in such close proximity.

Seeing the look of panic in her eyes, Chow grew agitated once more.

He gripped her chin tightly. "Stop crying!" he yelled in a rough voice.

Vivian sniffed softly, but her tears kept pouring out of her eyes.

"Did you really think that you can trick me with your tears again?" Chow roared at her. "It's making me

feel disgusted with you!" Vivian covered her eyes and struggled in his grasp. "Please let me go," she

begged.

Vivian's rather hoarse voice sounded seductive to Chow's ears.

Chow gulped softly. He had just realised how much he missed Vivian's body after being away for days.

Chow's eyes dimmed as he kissed her heavily on the lips.

Vivian's lips were still wet with tears. The kiss was supposed to be an act of intimacy, but the both of

them only tasted bitterness in their mouths.

Vivian let out a sob and struggled again, but she suddenly stopped.

This was her last night here.

She would never be able to feel the warmth of his embrace ever again.

Vivian blinked softly as another wave of tears cascaded down her cheeks.

Her hands stopped struggling and slowly moved upwards to circle Chow's back in a deep hug.

It was the final night. It could be the end of everything, but it could also be the start of a whole new

complication altogether.

Vivian was awakened by her ringing phone.

It had been a long time since she did it with him, and her frail body was aching all over after a whole

night of tumbling in the sheets.

Vivian struggled to get up. She suddenly realised that she was back inside her room once more.

The person who had spent the entire night torturing her was nowhere in sight.

Meanwhile, her phone just kept ringing by her bedside.

Vivian cleared her dry throat and reached out to fetch her phone.

The call was coming from an unsaved number. Vivian's mind was still in a haze when she swiped up to

accept the call. "Hello?"

"Are you still asleep? It's so late in the day. Were you doing something with another man behind your

boyfriend's back last night?"

This low but somewhat feminine voice suddenly made Vivian remember everything that had happened

by the lake yesterday.

Her eyes jolted open just as the name left her lips. "Joker?"

"Not bad, I'm glad that you at least still remember your boyfriend's name," Joker said with a hint of

amusement in his voice.

However, his words also made Vivian suddenly think of what he'd said before.

Her cheeks burned a bright red as she recalled her last night with Chow.

"Stop joking around, Joker," she said, begging for mercy.

However, Joker sounded serious over the phone. "I've already told you that I wasn't kidding when I said

it. Even if you're unwilling now, you will still belong to me in the end."

His self-righteous speech made Vivian speechless for a moment.

Luckily, Joker didn't wait for her reply. "It's almost noon. Shouldn't you treat your boyfriend and lifesaver

to lunch?" he asked.

Vivian quickly glanced at the clock and realised that it was already eleven o'clock.

She actually slept in till so late in the day.

She sat up from the bed with a frown on her face.

It was a fact that Joker indeed saved her yesterday.

Since she was planning to leave tonight, there was no other chance for her to meet with him and repay

his favour anymore.

Perhaps she would feel less guilty if she took this opportunity to meet with him and treat him to lunch.

She wasn't going to bring anything along with her tonight anyway, so there was no need for her to pack.

"Well, then, what do you want to eat? I'll go out after washing up."

Hearing her agree so quickly to his request, Joker relaxed slightly on the other end of the line.

He squinted at the Howard Mansion walls in the distance. "Come out first. I'll meet you where we

separated yesterday," he said.

"Okay, then I'll see you later."

"See you."

Joker hung up and stuffed the phone back into his pocket. Then, he removed the sunglasses from his

face.

His long and narrow phoenix eyes appeared once more.

"Vivian..."

He muttered her name under his breath again, the gentle expression on his pretty face gradually

replaced by coldness. "Chow, I will take everything from you, including this silly little girl."

After washing up in the bathroom, Vivian went downstairs with her backpack. She was surprised to find

Raylan sitting in the living room opposite Aunt Blaine.

Probably because she knew she was going to leave tonight, Vivian didn't feel embarrassed to face

Raylan anymore.

Raylan was also rather shocked to see Vivian coming downstairs with her backpack. However, he

quickly recovered with a smile on his face. "Going out?"

He never brought up the fact that Vivian had locked herself in the room for days. It was as if it never

happened.

He was indeed very considerate of her.

Vivian smiled sheepishly at him. "Yes. I-I didn't know that you would be coming today. I was just going

to have lunch with a friend."

Since Chow wasn't around, she knew that Raylan was definitely here for her again.

Vivian was indeed grateful that someone whom she'd only met a few times would be so concerned

about her.

It was just that she couldn't stay too long to properly thank Raylan because she'd promised Joker to go

out with him.

Raylan raised his eyebrow and nodded softly at her. "That's a good thing. Young people like you should

be meeting with your friends often."

The way he put it, it sounded like he was already a middle-aged man.

"Where are you meeting your friend for lunch? I've got nothing going on at the moment, so maybe I can

take you there." Raylan probably hadn't realised how conscious he was of whether Vivian's friend was

a male or a female.

Vivian shook her head. "He should be waiting for me outside. You don't have to worry about me."

Raylan shrugged helplessly. "It seems like I won't need to stay around any longer. In that case, we'll

meet again next time."

Vivian moved her mouth to respond, but for some reason, she just couldn't tell him that she'd see him

'next time'.

Since she knew that there wasn't going to be a next time, what was the point of lying to him?

Vivian smiled and bowed deeply to Raylan. "Thank you, Raylan."

Vivian was very grateful towards Raylan for always helping her out of sticky situations and being

immensely considerate of her.

"I'm going now, Raylan and Aunt Blaine. See you." With that, Vivian left the house with a smile on her

lips.

Raylan nodded and kept looking at her smiling face until she finally disappeared out of the door.

"Aunt Blaine, don't you think that Vivian's smile seems to be a little forced?"

Even if Raylan was addressing Aunt Blaine, it seemed more like he was just talking to himself.

Aunt Blaine thought about Vivian's smile that she hadn't seen for a long time and finally let out a soft

sigh. "I'm just very thankful that she's even smiling at all."

She couldn't care if Vivian's smile seemed genuine or not.

Raylan shook his head in denial. "No, I think that something's really wrong with her." However, he just

didn't know what.

Raylan decided to push his suspicions to the back of his head and thanked Aunt Blaine anyway. "Since

Vivian's already gone out, then I'll also be taking my leave. See you next time, Aunt Blaine."

After saying goodbye to Aunt Blaine, Raylan's steps inevitably quickened.

When he drove out of the Howard Mansion gates, he saw Vivian getting onto the back seat of a man's

motorcycle from afar.

Raylan frowned as he watched the motorcycle more farther and farther away from him.

He didn't think that Vivian would have such a friend.

Vivian's silhouette eventually disappeared under the sun. It was a bright, sunny day, without a cloud in

the sky, as if the worst of everything had finally blown over.

Vivian was no longer in a sorry state like before. She was even going out with her friend for lunch now.

However, Raylan just felt that something was amiss.

Riding in the back seat of a motorcycle was a relatively novel experience for Vivian.

This feeling of putting on a helmet and riding against the wind, she had only seen it on television

before.

It really felt like she was finally forgetting all of her sorrows as the wind whizzed by her ears.

However, it was only for a very short while.

Soon after, Joker parked his motorcycle outside a high-class restaurant.Material © NôvelDrama.Org.

As Joker removed his helmet and sunglasses from his face, he shook his hair a few times, letting it

catch a breeze and flutter softly under the sun.

With these simple movements, he had already managed to catch the attention of many passers-by.

He didn't seem to realise that many people were staring at him. Joker turned around to look at Vivian.

"Since you're staying in such a huge mansion, you must be really rich. Treat me to an expensive meal."

Vivian got down from the motorcycle and took off her pink helmet. She glanced up at the restaurant

and gave him a rather embarrassed smile. "That's not my house, but I can still afford to treat you to

lunch here. Let's go in."

It wasn't like Vivian wasn't going to be using the money that Chow had given to her.

After all, it was just for a meal. Even if Chow hated her, he wouldn't care about such minute details.

Joker narrowed his eyes and beckoned towards the valet at the restaurant door.

The valet hurried up to them. "Sir, what can I do for you?"

Today, Joker was dressed in a leather motorcycle jacket. Nobody could possibly mistake him for the

other gender.

Obviously, he was satisfied with the effect. He pushed his motorcycle towards the valet. "Please park

my bike for me."

The valet probably hadn't served anyone with a motorcycle before. He looked rather shocked at the

request.

However, when he saw Joker's handsome face, despite knowing that he was of the same gender, the

valet couldn't find it in him to reject Joker. So, he took the motorcycle from Joker and nodded at them

both. "Okay. Right this way, please."

The valet had actually forgotten to inform Joker that he wasn't allowed into their restaurant dressed in

that leather jacket.

However, it didn't seem like it mattered anyway since the hostess immediately invited Joker into the

restaurant as soon as her eyes landed on his beautiful face. Restaurant rules were meant to be broken

after all. She immediately showed the both of them to their seats with a huge smile on her lips.

Vivian couldn't help sighing to herself when she saw this.

What a superficial world she lived in.
