Chapter 9 Atlas Was Jealous
Chapter 9 Atlas Was Jealous
"Why not!" Zoee snapped.
"Because he cheated!" Harvey looked annoyed.
"Admit your defeat. Harvey, can't you afford to lose?" Zoee had a look of despise on her face.
"Nonsense. He cheated in the first place! This one doesn't count. Let's do it again!" Harvey was dead
set on this point.
The match between the two had attracted many people around to watch, even Tammy had come over
and kept watching Atlas silently.
She was ready to have a good laugh at Atlas, but she didn't get her way.
Atlas' gaze turned cold. Although he didn't want to cause trouble, it didn't mean that he was afraid of it.
If Harvey continued to be unreasonable, he wouldn't mind giving him another lesson.
At that moment, a gentle voice suddenly rang out.
"Allow me to say something!"
An elegant middle-aged man wearing a white shirt with a bow tie around his collar came over. He was
followed by two bodyguards.
"It's you?"
Atlas had seen this man before. He was Ronald's butler, named Chase Kimmerly.
Although he was the butler, he was actually in charge of many of Ronald's businesses, and people
called him Mr. Kimmerly Junior.
Harvey, next to him, smiled triumphantly when he saw Chase step in.
He often came to play during the week and had spoken to Mr. Kimmerly Jr. a few times. When he saw
that Mr. Kimmerly Jr. had actually come out in person, he thought he was here to speak for him.
"Mr. Kimmerly Junior, I wouldn't dare bother you with such a trivial matter!" Harvey said smugly as he
bowed with an ingratiating smile.
Chase gave him a cold stare, his chin slight lifted up, and said condescendingly, "Who are you? How
dare you talk to me?" Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.
Harvey stiffened and his face instantly flushed.
What a disgrace!
Hank and the others could not help covering their faces with their hands.
"Mr. Lincoln!" Chase walked over to Atlas and bowed.
At the sight of this, Harvey and the others were shocked.
"Why is Mr. Kimmerly Junior being so respectful to Atlas?"
Some people around them were curious, "Mr. Kimmerly Junior usually looks at everyone with
contempt. Why is he being so polite to a young boy today? Who is this boy?"
"Please get up," Atlas said indifferently.
Tammy suddenly froze and grabbed the arm of an older man beside her and asked excitedly, "Is Mr.
Kimmerly Junior the butler of Mr. Kimmerly of the Ronald Group?"
The old man thought that a pie had fallen from the sky when he was suddenly grabbed by a pretty girl.
He nodded uncontrollably and replied, "Yes, who else except Chase Kimmerly would dare to call
himself Mr. Kimmerly Junior!"
Tammy's eyes instantly sparkled.
Chase got up, gave Harvey a cold stare, and said, "I've been watching your match with Mr. Lincoln just
now. All I have to say is, you have to admit your defeat! Even if Mr. Lincoln knows how to control
horses, that is still part of his strength. There is no cheating!"
For sure, Harvey wouldn't dare talk back to Mr. Kimmerly Junior. Even his father wouldn't dare speak
up in front of this man.
"Mr. Kimmerly Junior, you're right. I'm the one who's confused." Harvey hurriedly bowed and
apologized.
Chase was looking at Atlas from the corner of his eye the whole time he was talking to Harvey, and
noticed that Atlas was looking away and didn't seem to be paying any attention to their conversation.
Chase thought Atlas wasn't happy with his handling of the situation.
Atlas was the man whom Ronald had given the Violet Gold Card to. Outsiders didn't know about the
card, but Chase knew it well enough. It was the Supreme Violet Gold Card. Ronald had said that this
card would be given to three people he respected most.
Naturally, the man whom Ronald respected most, then he had to respect him even more!
"Now that you know you're wrong, apologize to Mr. Lincoln quickly!" Chase looked at Harvey and said
in a stern voice.
"Well..." Harvey was embarrassed. It was easy for him to bow to Mr. Kimmerly Junior, or even kneeling
and kowtowing.
But to apologize to Atlas, a loser whom he had bullied throughout his high school years, Harvey
couldn't bring himself to do so.
"You won't?"
Chase's face began to turn cold. Harvey was to him like an ant that could be crushed at will.
If it could make Mr. Lincoln happy, Chase would shut down the Harvey family's supermarkets in a
heartbeat.
"I will, I will!" How dare Harvey not say yes? He wouldn't dare offend the Ronald Group under any
circumstances!
"Sorry!" Harvey turned to Atlas and bowed his head in acknowledgment of his mistake.
But in his mind, he was screaming, "Everything that happened today was caused by Atlas Lincoln. This
bastard. I'm going to get it back twice as much someday!"
Chase looked at Atlas and saw that he was still looking away.
Was Mr. Lincoln still not satisfied with the way he had handled the situation?
But that was enough. He didn't have to beat Harvey up, did he? That was too harsh!
"Mr. Lincoln, are you satisfied with the result?"
Chase decided to ask Atlas. If he took it upon himself to beat Harvey up, then this would be a big deal.
Although he wasn't afraid, it wouldn't have influence on the Ronald Group.
Atlas nodded and said with impatience, "Alright, you can go!"
In fact, Atlas couldn't even be interested in such a small role as Harvey. What bothered Atlas now was
Viviana.
On a bench resting at the far end, Viviana was sitting with a handsome young man, talking, laughing,
and having a good time!
The young man was none other than Tobias Morrison, the only son of Lanceham's deputy mayor.
He was also Viviana's future husband.
Although having been reborn in a new life, Atlas no longer had any thoughts about Viviana, but when
Viviana was flirting with another man in front of him, the nominal husband, he was still a bit disturbed.
Seeing Atlas's impassive attitude, Chase thought he was not probably not doing good enough, so he
added cautiously, "Mr. Lincoln, would you like to go to the private room for a moment?"
"No need." Atlas refused decisively, and there was impatience in his voice as if he would be angry the
next moment.
Chase, being a man of good sense, immediately excused himself, "I'll take my leave then. If you need
anything, feel free to call me. I'd be happy to be of service to you."
Atlas looked at Viviana, who was covering her mouth and laughing, without saying a word, bust his
face went cold.
"Wait a minute!"
Seeing Chase leaving, Tammy, who had long wanted to come forward to make friends with him,
couldn't think of any more excuses and rushed straight over.
"Mr. Kimmerly Junior, why are you in such a hurry to leave?" Tammy said with an ingratiating smile on
her face.
"You are…?" Chase looked at Tammy, who had suddenly jumped out.
Tammy hurriedly shouted to Atlas in an affectionate way, "My brother-in-law, Chase has kindly invited
you to the private room. How could you refuse?"
So she was Mr. Lincoln's sister!
Chase instantly smiled, "What is your name, lady?"
"My name is Tammy Cho. My uncle is Jessie Cho and he works in the HR department at the Ronald
Group!" Tammy grinned.
"So you're a family member of the Ronald Group. So, we're family." Chase was trying to find more
connections between him and Atlas.
Atlas was already distracted. When he heard the two muttering, he felt a sudden surge of anger.
He looked at Chase coldly and asked, "Why are you still here?"
Chase's heart jumped and he instantly understood that he had misunderstood something.
"Mr. Lincoln, calm down. I'll leave now." Chase gave Tammy a stare, and his gaze was a little
cold.
