Loved You Once But He's My Forever (Chloe)

Chapter 552 Amber, Look at Me

Taylor stood in the sunlight, yet the chilling aura radiating from him made Anna feel afraid.

Anna instinctively wanted to run, but behind her was the vast ocean, and the forest ahead was filled with snakes.

She had been brought to an island. There was no way to escape!

Taylor slowly approached her, enunciating each word, "Anna, you can't escape."

And in the years that followed, his words would prove true.

At this moment, all Anna could sense was danger. She instinctively softened her tone, hoping Taylor would be gentle with her, just like before.

"Taylor, I don't want to be here. I'm scared. Can you take me away?"

"Anna, it's too late."

Taylor sprayed a liquid on her. It was said to repel snakes.

He led her up the mountain. Along the way, Anna kept encountering snakes,

turning pale with fear. But this time, Taylor showed no sympathy.

Her legs ached from walking. "Taylor, where exactly are you taking me?"

"We're almost there."

When they finally arrived, she nearly stumbled in terror at the sight of the densely packed tombstones.

"W-What is this place? Why did you bring me here?"

Taylor's voice was cold. "Kneel down."

"Why should I?"

"This is the debt your family owes us."

Dominic approached, carrying Yael in his arms. "If you refuse to kneel, we'll cut off

your legs and bury you here to repent and atone for eternity."

Taylor's gaze darkened. He pressed down on Anna's shoulders, forcing her to kneel.

"If you don't want to die, stay on your knees."

Anna had a chilling sense that if she didn't comply, she really would die.

She knelt in the graveyard, her eyes falling on a tombstone engraved with the face of a stranger—someone she had never seen before.

Why was he forcing her to kneel before them? She didn't understand at all.

Dominic set his younger son down and crouched to wipe the tombstone, murmuring, "Dad, I won't let a single member of the Sanders go. Rest in peace."

The Sanders?

Anna finally understood. They weren't just after her.

She had to warn her family.

But she had no phone, and she was trapped in the middle of the ocean. How could she contact the outside world?

She remained kneeling for a while. After Dominic and the others left, she tried to stand, but her legs gave out beneath her, and she collapsed.noveldrama

Strangely, she felt no pain as she fell.

Unbeknownst to her, she had landed in someone's arms. With the sea breeze rustling around them, Taylor carried her down the mountain on his back.

After she lost consciousness, he carefully applied ointment to her scraped knees, unwilling to let even the faintest scar remain.

Staring at her wounded knees, his face was filled with anguish. "I'm sorry, Anna."

When Anna slowly woke up, the room was empty. Her knees only ached slightly

now.

The faint scent of medicine still lingered in the air, and beside her was a tray of her favorite dishes.

She wasn't naive-on this island, the only person who would take care of her was Taylor.

He never really wanted to hurt her, did he?

But even without his company, she would eat and take care of herself.

Because she knew that someone was plotting against the Sanders. She had to stay alive to deliver that message.

Taylor watched through the surveillance feed as the girl devoured her food, no longer acting spoiled, finishing every last bite.

She ate while wiping away tears, and his heart ached.

Anna, you shouldn't have been born into the Sanders.

After finishing her meal, Anna hobbled toward the door.

She was surprised to find that the door wasn't locked. Maybe he knew that outside was nothing but snakes and the vast ocean. Unless she had a death wish, this was the safest place for her.

Anna had no idea where she was. Wandering aimlessly, she accidentally stumbled upon a room. Peering through the gap in the door, she saw the fierce Dominic Kneeling or one knee.

On the bed sat a stunning woman with sharp, well-defined

features she looked like she might be of mixed heritage. Her long hair cascaded loosely over her

ve

shoulders, and her face was deathly pate.

But there was a silver chain fastened around her leg. Dominic's face was filled

with humility as he pleaded, "Amber, look at me."

The beautiful woman lifted her foot and kicked him square in the face. "Go to hell!"
