CHAPTER 16
CHAPTER 16
All night dua kept on thinking armaan's last word also his full speech. No one was abled to see so
much through her like he did. How could he know so much about when he met her just yesterday. And
that he know what going on between her and her sister. Did arham said it all but he too being close
friend never knew her much. She didn't knew what would happen next as she engaged with him now.
He knows me so well, like can scan me with his eyes itself how come I can marry such a person.
Next morning dua woke up. She didn't realized when she slept while crying. The alarm woke her up. It
was time for fajar. She spread her prayer mat and offered her salah. No matter what she shouldn't skip
her salah she reminded. After that she read Quran too like she always used to do before all the fabio
was created.
She had to get back to work no matter how unwilling she was to. She stood in front of the mirror. She
haven't seen her reflection for a while.
You look devastated she murdered to her reflection. Her eyes were having deep dark circles
underneath them. She wasn't interested in her health anymore. She had no appetite. But bua made her
eat something yesterday. She took a close look in her eyes. Sadness, abandonment and self pity was
the only thing that were reflecting back. She carried herself to the shower and took a shower.
Her and armaan's engagement photo had gone like viral or may be it was because armaan was
famous. She was too tired to face the world but didn't want to stay at home and devour herself with any
torture by ayesha or her baba.
She was ready to go out the only thing was she hadn't wore her abaya yet. She checked her phone NôvelDrama.Org is the owner.
once again they were flooded with text messages. Many friends who never ever new her existence
where now Congratulating her. She didn't care to reply. Her actual friend texted too but it she either
didn't reply instead of explaining it to them.
She wasn't on much social media but since these thing occurred she gained much popularity.
She booked a cab for her. She wore her abaya and was all set but a knock by mr.shah broke her plan.
" we are talking." He said as he entered.
Mr.shah came in and sat on the couch while dua stood up.
Seeing her in abaya mr.shah got a hint that she was going out.
"You ain't going anywhere today. mr.and mrs.rizvi are coming for lunch today." He said and stood up
and went towards the window digging in his pocket he brought out a cigarette and lighter. Lighting a
cigarette he took a long drag. Some worse memories dua had with her baba's habit of smoking but she
ignored them as mr.shah began speaking again.
"Yesterday I and the rizvi had a meeting armaan had no problem with marrying you nor does mr and
mrs.rizvi do."
It was taking so much of dua to not back answer she wanted to scream that yes she has problem
though they don't but all she did was dig her nails in her palms which were holding a fist.
" I don't know how you managed to do this and how all the media came rushing when arham took your
name. Everyone had to put up with the situation and act along. But consider yourself lucky that rizvi are
ready. After all that's what you wanted." mr.shah said still smoking.
Dua was drinking all her anger back.
"Ayesha told me about few of your past affairs. But you have to do as I say. You have no choice. If you
don't then my business might face critical conditions."
Dua was still holding it she was very close but all her anger turned into sadness when her baba
believed she had a boyfriend. Hence an unfaithful tear left dua's eyes.
"What if I don't" she regretted the moment those words left her mouth.
Mr.shah who was busy smoking at the window turned towards her.
"What. Repeat yourself." He said.
Dua was scared but armaan's word were filled in her ears.
"You won't" said mr.shah himself.
*********
You can fight with whole world for yourself but you can't stand for your own rights
*********
Dua closed her eyes but easily felt that mr.shah was standing in front of her.
She didn't know why she was being rebel.
"You heard me." Said dua opening her eyes, taking deep breaths and shaking from both fear and
anger.
A mocking laugh left mr.shah leaving a pat of smoke on dua's face too. The cigarette that he was
dragging was no longer in his hand it was crushing under his feet now.
"You are just like your mother. Ungrateful. We took you under our care. We gave you food and shelter.
My wife dies because of you. You snatched your sister's fiance. And I ask you this one thing to do and
you are so ungrateful to us." Mr.shah said.
"Say anything about me. But I won't hear a word about my ammi from you." Said dua pointing a finger
straight on mr.shah's face. She had no idea where all this was coming from to her.
" and why do you making a count on how grateful you were to me. I am not an orphan. I am your
daughter. But what you did treated me like trash. I was invisible to you all my life. Did you ever spoke to
me nicely all were there nodding whenever ayesha accused me." Dua said she was all red now. She
never ever had an argument with her father.
"If we are that bad why didn't you left us. We were all happy suddenly you show up and interrupt all our
life and finally because of you my beloved wife sacrificed her life. And you are so ungrateful. You are
such a shame dua." He said.
"I came into your life. We were already in your life. It was ayesha's mother along with her baby came
into our life. It was us happy. But you did had other plan's. My ammi sacrificed her life to see you
happy. But all you could see was ayesha's mother you never saw my ammi. You always saw ayesha
you never saw me." Said dua.
Mr.shah was in the edge of losing himself.
"Yes. Yes. Yes. I never liked your mother nor you. You always reminded me of her. Hafsa was the only
one I loved and ayesha is my only daughter whom I love." He was yelling.
So dua yelled too.
"Though she was born haram." She said.
After that words left her mouth. A slapped was received to dua on her right cheek.
"No matter what you are gonna marry armaan and get the hell out of my house." Mr.shah yelled and
left her room.
