Married to the Boss: A Love in Disguise Chapter 57
Lumma was amused by the two and said with a smile, “You got to stop giving me compliments, or I can’t figure out my place.”
Ruby said, “We just told the truth.”
Harry echoed, “Yeah.”
Lumma suddenly said seriously, “Why do people always think that way when they see a man and woman alone together? We have been friended with Harry for more than 20 years. Do we have romantic feelings for him?”
Ruby said, “Is Harry a man?”
Lumma replied, “I guess not.”
“Ladies, please watch your mouth!” said Harry.
Lumma thought for a while and said, “Why do you think there will be an affair between me and my boss?”
Ruby asked, “Do you?”
Lumma glared at her. “No joking. I’m serious.”
Ruby’s answer is simple, “Because I like those romantic stories. Think about it, at handsome and rich boss falls in love with a young and beautiful assistant. The two work together and date. It’s sweet just to think about it, right?”
Lumma glared at her again. “You hopeless girl! Harry, tell me.”
Harry said, “I’m afraid that you will kill me if I say it.”
“Tell me. I won’t kill you. I promise,” said Lumma.
Harry said, “I’m also interested in the picture that Ruby said.”
Lumma was speechless.
She really wanted to kill them.
Although Lumma didn’t get a useful explanation from Harry and Ruby, Lumma still found out from their jokes why many people would think that she had an affair with
Adam.
For one thing, she was his assistant at work. So she was indeed the closest woman to
Adam.
For another thing, Lumma was quite good-looking, and people would overthink it when they saw a handsome man and a beautiful woman together.
When Lumma saw young and good-looking couples on the road, she would look at them
twice.
The three of them finished their breakfast while joking and talking. Then, Ruby and Harry went to the comic studio. Lumma didn’t have to go to the company today but went to the venue where Adam’s birthday party was held.
Just as Harry drove away, two strong men jumped out of the commercial vehicle parked at the side, blocking Lumma in the middle. “Ms. Louis, the Madam wants to see you. Please get in the car with us.”
The two came aggressively, trying to forcibly take her away instead of inviting her.
Lumma quietly touched the cell phone in her bag, ready to call for help, “Who is your
Madam?”
“Ms. Louis, you’ll know when you get there.” The strong man saw Lumma’s thoughts, grabbed Lumma’s bag, and got her into the car, so fast that Lumma didn’t even realize

Lumma sat in the middle of the two strong men. She struggled a few times but couldn’t get away. “Who the hell are you? Do you know what you are doing?”
One of them said, “Ms. Louis, as long as you cooperate with us, I promise I won’t touch a hair of yours.”
Of course, Lumma wouldn’t believe the kidnapper’s words. She looked coldly at the man who had spoken. “You are kidnapping. It’s an illicit crime. If you let me go now, I will pretend this incident never happened. Otherwise, you will be sentenced to at least ten years for kidnapping me…’
The men glanced at Lumma and sneered as if she was a fool in their eyes.
Lumma knew the law couldn’t scare them, but it was the only way she could think of to
