The one who spoke was Emma's younger sister, Rachel Lang.
At this moment, she was leaning against the door frame with her hands in her arms. She stood there
lazily looking at her nails.
This pretty face has been named as the most beautiful face in Rock City three years in a row. Rachel
has been getting main roles in Hollywood and globally as well. You can find her on cover photos and
Ads everywhere.
It was a pity that the moment she opened her mouth, her beauty was ruined. . "How dare you come
back?" Rachel calmly stood there and looked at Emma with sarcasm. "If I remember correctly,
someone swore to never come back to the Lang family 7 years ago."
Emma Lang's hand tightened and she didn't expect this kind of hostility from her own baby sister!
In the past, she was young and naive. She knew how difficult it was to be a parent only after she
became a mother. Only then did she really understand the feelings of parents watching their children
make mistakes.
"Rachel, I came back to see Dad. How is he?"
"Thanks to you, Dad stayed in the hospital for half a year before he came home."
Emma felt guilt wash over her when she heard this. "I was wrong back then."
Rachel snorted coldly and mocked, "How could you, the perfect Emma, be wrong? You were the center
of the world and everyone adored you. But seriously Emma, the Lang family doesn't want you back.
You should just leave."
Rose couldn't stand it anymore and wanted to say something. "Miss Rachel, Miss Emma is part of the
Lang family…"
But Rachel interrupted her without hesitation. "Rose, why did you bring her inside? You know what
Daddy said about her coming home."
Rose was speechless and she looked at Emma Lang with an awkward expression on her face.
Emma didn't want to argue. She put down the gifts she prepared and said, "Rose, it's fine. I'll leave
now. I'll put the gifts here."
Just as she went out of the door, Rachel's voice was heard. "Rose, throw this trash out. The farther you
throw it, the better. We don't want her stuff!"
Emma Lang clenched her hands tightly and endured her sister's taunts.
She knew her sister wasn't a bad person deep down. She was acting like this because she felt hurt and
blamed Emma for leaving and making their father sick.

The sky had turned gray. Rock City was enveloped in large stormy clouds and the weather forecast
said there would be thunderstorms.
A black Mercedes-Maybach moved swiftly on the road. The rain came rapidly and slammed against the
car windows.
From the rearview mirror, the driver noticed William's impatience, and he slowed down the car. "This
rain is estimated to go on for a while. Fortunately, I have listened to you. I've taken this road these past
few days. Otherwise, we’d be stuck in traffic jams on I-90."
For some reason, William had asked him to take this road to the company starting last week, even
though the interstate was closer.
The car stopped at the intersection. While waiting, the rain outside became heavier. Watching outside
of the car window, William's eyes suddenly tightened and he sat upright.
On the other side of the road, Emma had her bag over her head as she ran in the rain to the distant
bus stop. Her body was drenched and she looked extremely miserable.
She was the same as she was seven years ago. She never remembered bringing an umbrella on rainy
days.
