"Didn't you just hear me? I'm just looking to take on a disciple," Joseph said with a smile.

Dustin stared at him intently. He did not buy his story.

This old man was sly. Even Dustin had fallen into his trap and slept with Allison.

Though he was not at a disadvantage, it did not sit right with him.

This old man was definitely up to something underhanded.

Otherwise, he would not cause such an uproar just to take on a disciple. He had even dangled the entry token to the Martial Haven as bait. Dustin did not believe it was all that simple.

"You better tell me the truth, or else..." Dustin's face darkened slightly.

"Or else what?" Joseph raised an eyebrow. He sounded a bit irritated.

He was one of the Five Supremes. He was mighty. Every young martial artist bowed and trembled in front of him!

Only Dustin, this freak, defied all logic and made even one of the Five Supremes uneasy.

"If you don't speak, we'll have to fight," Dustin said flatly.

Joseph's face darkened instantly. Veins bulged on his forehead.

"Dustin, don't forget, I outrank even your adoptive father!" he growled in indignation.

If it had been anyone else, he would have slapped them across the face.

This kid had no respect for him at all. He was basically looking for trouble...

But Dustin was not like the others.

He could not beat him...

Who could have predicted that a freak like this would come along in the current generation? At just over twenty years old, his strength was so terrifying that even one of the Five Supremes like him found himself at a disadvantage.

"What does it matter if you outrank me? I'll still beat you," Dustin said without an ounce of respect.

Joseph's face turned pale, and his fists clenched in frustration.

"Dammit! Do you really think I'm scared of you? If it comes to a fight, I'll take some hits, but you won't come out unscathed either. You might break some of my bones, but your hands will be in pain for days too!" he said and seethed

Dustin, however, was not interested in words. He took a fighting stance. It was a clear indication that he was ready to go.

Joseph's lips twitched in annoyance.

"Fine! Fine, I'll let it slide! You're young, and I'll be forgiving." He waved his hand dismissively.

"I'll tell you this. I really do want anoveldrama

disciple, and yes, I have other motives. But I can't reveal everything right now. Rest assured, my plan doesn't involve you at all. You're safe."

Dustin dropped his stance. He no longer pushed for an explanation.

Though he was stronger than Joseph, there was not that massive of a gap. In a real fight, it would come to a mutual destruction type of situation, though the extent of the damage would vary between them.

"So, what's the deal with the entry token to the Martial Haven?" Dustin asked seriously.

"Oh? You're interested in that?" Joseph smiled.

"From the looks of you, I'd say you've never been to the Martial Haven. After all, Lucas was extremely opposed to going there when he was alive."

Dustin was silent.

"It's strange, though, isn't it? A freak like you hasn't even been to the Martial Haven, yet you've reached such a terrifying level at such a young age!" Joseph muttered.

With that, he tossed a black token toward Dustin.

Dustin instinctively caught it.

The token was not striking. It was completely black, and its material was unidentifiable. It sent a chill through his hand when he grasped it.

"I've got more of these, so I don't mind giving one to you," Joseph said. "But whether you go or not is up to you.

"Maybe you'll find clues about the massacre of the Fox family there. Of course, you might also go in and never come out..."

Joseph then turned to leave.

Dustin stared at the black token in his hand. He was lost in thought.
