Alaina still clung to a sliver of hope, thinking Helen might just be too embarrassed to open her eyes in front of so many people.

She leaned in and whispered in Helen's car, "Helen, if you're awake, just squeeze my hand. I'll find a way to get you out of here."

She waited for another two minutes but there was no sign of Helen waking up. Finally, Alaina realized something was wrong. She turned pale and immediately took her phone out to call an ambulance.

After Helen was taken to the hospital, Alaina called Edwin to tell him what had happened.
