Chapter 2054 Culinary Skills
Chapter 2054 Culinary Skills
Bella blushed and whispered, “Please stop teasing me.”
Elisa chuckled and replied, “If the people at the company saw you like this, they would be amazed.”
Feeling her cheeks burning up, Bella covered her face with her hand.
Seeing Bella’s embarrassment, Elisa stopped teasing her and said sincerely, “You did an excellent job of saving the company from losses. You are a hero to the company, and I want to thank you. Without you, I would have had to go to the company with an IV drip. Who knows how the reporters would have hounded me.”
After expressing her gratitude, Elisa asked. “Have the reporters been giving you a hard time? I’ve always known that some of them won’t give up until they get what they want. If they ever cross the line, let me know. We’ll see if they can still act so superior after I deal with them.”
Elisa was serious and not joking or boasting.
The media had lost its credibility, despite having many journalists. One of the main reasons was that they were being bribed with money.
If Elisa spent money, she could resolve the issue, but she would have to pay double.
Elisa didn’t want to spend the money, nor was she willing to.
After all, she was an honest citizen with nothing to hide,
However, she was annoyed by how the reporters were willing to slander her.
Some unscrupulous media outlets had no integrity.
Bella couldn’t help but think of Mike. Thanks to him, she didn’t have to deal with too much trouble from the media.
To be precise, he whisked her away before she could be troubled.
Since that day, there seemed to be some subtle changes in their relationship.
“Bella? Bella!” Elisa’s exclamation brought Bella back to reality.
Bella shivered slightly and looked at Elisa with a bewildered expression. “Huh? What happened?”
Elisa chuckled and said, “I was just wondering if the media has been giving you a hard time.”
Bella nodded and then quickly shook her head. “They haven’t.”
“Really?” Elisa looked at Bella suspiciously.
Bella nodded earnestly, confirming that it was true.
Only then did Elisa believe her.
“What a coincidence. You’re all here,” Gareth said as he approached the room.
He, too, was carrying various bags.
Since Elisa’s condition had stabilized, she insisted that Gareth should go to work and not stay with her all the time.
However, it was evident that Gareth considered the hospital as his home.
Or perhaps it could be said that his home was wherever Elisa was.
Every day after work, he would go straight to the hospital, always carrying bags of different sizes. Each time, he would personally cook and share a meal with Elisa.
During that period, Gareth’s culinary skills had improved rapidly.
Of course, he had his own reasons for doing so.
All he wanted was to experience those ordinary, leisurely moments with Elisa.
Those moments were extremely precious to both of them.
Bella nodded in greeting to Gareth.
Gareth nodded back, allowing her to stay and chat with Elisa. Meanwhile, he went into the kitchen to cook.
The kitchen was part of the VIP ward. Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.
However, apart from the IV drip in Elisa’s hand, there was nothing else that indicated it was a ward.
The unit was very spacious, with five rooms, a kitchen, and a living room.
