No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric)

Chapter 422

Noelle accepted the business card. She was surprised at how fast Cedric had handled the situation, poaching Blake's entire PR team to her side. She asked cautiously. "Weren't you guys working for Blake? What about him?"

Tilly replied bluntly. "Ms. Liddell, to be honest, I was only assigned to handle Mr. Blake's case because I was being sidelined within the company.

"It was a tough case, and I was only given it because no one else wanted to take on the job. Mr. Blake's case is extremely difficult to handle. I'd rather work for you instead.

"You don't need to accept any interviews with the media for now. Just wait for the police to publish the results of their investigation. It would also be best if you take a leave of absence from your studies for the next few days.noveldrama

"By the time you're discharged from the hospital, some preliminary findings should be published."

"That's what I was thinking as well," Noelle added Tilly's contact information and replied, "Don't worry. I'll make sure that you're well compensated."

Tilly was stunned for a moment, but she did not refute Noelle's words. It was clear that Cedric wanted to keep his identity a secret, and Tilly had no intention of exposing it.

After requesting a leave of absence from her university, Noelle then messaged Grace to assure her that she was doing fine and that she would check on the team's training progress once she was discharged.

Not long after that, Frank arrived outside Noelle's hospital ward. He was quickly stopped by Tilly. "Ms. Liddell is currently resting. She's not seeing anyone."

"I'm her older brother!" Frank explained.

"I know. It is precisely her own family members that she doesn't want to see."

As Noelle's PR team member, Tilly had already researched Noelle's background and learned that the Liddell family had never treated her well.

Frank stood by the door and looked inside the room. "I'm here to check on your injuries, Noelle. I know that everything that happened is Blake's fault! I know that it has nothing to do with you!"

He knew what kind of person Blake was. Blake had been getting into fights ever since he was a kid, and their parents had to be called to the school again and again because of his antics.

Meanwhile, Noelle just pretended that she did not hear anything or look at Frank. She knew her siblings too well and had no interest in listening to their empty words.

Noticing her lack of response, Tilly turned back to Frank and explained, "I'm sure that Ms. Liddell has heard you, but she has no intention of talking to you. If you're done speaking, you may leave now."

Frank was still unwilling to leave just yet. "Noelle, Blake's face is done for! He might get desperate enough to do just about anything! I'm worried about you being all by yourself in the hospital!"

Tilly raised an eyebrow and replied, "Sir, do you not see the three of us standing here?"

Frank pursed his lips and asked, "Who are you people anyway?"

"We're a PR team from TG Public Relations. We're currently handling everything related to Ms. Liddell, including her personal safety."

"You're just a group of people hired to do your job! I don't trust you enough to leave my sister in your hands!"

Just then, Cedric strode over and said, "Have you forgotten that Noelle only ended up in such a state because of your family? The Liddells have been bringing her nothing but trouble! What right do you even have to say that you're worried about her?"

His appearance caused the trio of Noelle's PR team to be on high alert, ready to assist their employer.

A bitter smile appeared on Frank's thin face. "I know, but it's different this time. Blake isn't someone that plays by the rules."

Blake had connections with gangsters, which was why Frank was worried that Blake might send someone to abduct Noelle. It was something that Blake might just actually do.

Cedric's expression was icy cold. "You're overestimating yourselves if you think that you can bring Noelle out of this hospital."

After hearing Cedric's voice, Noelle finally walked toward the doorway. She looked at Frank and spoke up with indifference: "You should leave, Frank. Being around the Liddells only brings me misery."

Frank stepped forward to grab Noelle's wrist. "Noelle, I'm on your side. I—"

He covered his mouth as he suddenly started to cough. Blood soon seeped through his fingers. He wiped his mouth with his sleeve and turned away in a panic. "I need to go."

Noelle's hand hovered in the air for a moment before she slowly withdrew it. But before Frank could take more than a few steps, he suddenly collapsed to the ground, his face deathly pale.
