Obsessive CEO’s Sinful Wife

Chapter 34

Chapter 34

“Huh? You’ll wait in the car?” The team leader was obviously surprised. He thought they would stick around to keep an eye on them since the ring was worth more than $10,000.

“Ms. Hall is a popular celebrity. If we stand here while you guys look for the ring, the fans will crowd around us in no time,” said Kristin.

The team leader thought it made sense.

Jenny’s car was parked nearby. Even from the car, she could get a good view of Serenity pitifully rummaging through the trash

cans.

“That’s what she deserves,” Kristin laughed sinisterly, “She was so arrogant a moment ago, but look at her now. She’s rummaging through garbage.”

Jenny said indifferently, “Let’s go back after we keep this up a bit more.” With how pathetic Serenity looked now, Jenny no longer felt threatened by her.

Zeke once loved this woman, but in the end, she was just a woman who was abandoned by Zeke. Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.

But back then, in the prison, even with all ten fingers continuously dripping blood, even with all ten fingers broken, Serenity still insisted that she was innocent!

That irritated Jenny to no end.

Why did that woman keep insisting that she was innocent even after suffering so much pain? Did she really think that as long as she insisted on her innocence, she would be released?

The court required evidence!

“Okay, but let’s take some pictures first,” said Kristin. She picked up her phone and photographed Serenity who was rummaging through the trash.

Serenity did not know how long this farce would last, but she knew there was no way she could get off work on time today. She had even dragged Xyla into this.

Serenity took off her gloves and made a call. “Jack, it’s me. Today… something came up at the Sanitation Office. I’m afraid I’ll be back really late. Have dinner by yourself. Don’t wait for me.”

From the other end of the phone came the man’s elegant voice, “What happened?”

“Uhh… It’s just something work related. Anyway, you don’t have to wait for me.” She saw the team leader glaring at her, so she quickly ended the call, put her gloves back on, and continued to rummage through the trash.

Valor Group’s CEO’s Office.

Jackson Valor told Connor Gunn, “Go find out what happened to Serenity at the Sanitation Office.”

Connor nodded and left the CEO’s office.

Jackson appeared to be deep in thought. He could clearly tell that Serenity was hiding something, but… what was she hiding?

It did not take long for Connor to find out what happened. “Jenny Hall said she lost a ring worth more than $10,000. She called the director of the Sanitation Office, Jason Wheeler, who asked Miss Lewis to rummage through the trash to look for the ring.”

Connor called Jenny by her full name but used honorifics for Serenity, which showed the difference in their importance in Jackson Valor’s eyes.

Jackson’s eyes narrowed. “Rummage through the trash?”

His icy cold voice made Connor flinch. “That’s right, Mr. Valor.”

“As if a stupid ring like that is worth rummaging through the trash for,” Jackson sneered. After a moment of contemplation,

he said, “Since Jenny Hall wants to find the ring so badly, let her look for it as much as she wants!”

Connor had been by Jackson Valor’s side for many years. He knew that his boss was really angry this time.

How rare. Over the years, very few things could make Mr. Valor angry, but now, he was actually angry because of a woman. Connor sighed. Looks like Serenity Lewis was more important to Mr. Valor than he initially thought.
