Chapter 22:
(AT THE MAIDS’ QUARTER)
Pamela stepped inside the room Ortega shared with Priscilla and she met Priscilla moving to and fro the room with a worried look on her face.
“Ma’am Pamela? What brings you here?” She asked.
“You look worried, Priscilla. What’s wrong?” Pamela asked back as she stepped fully inside the room.
“Actually, it’s Ortega.” Priscilla replied.
“Did something happen to her?” Pamela asked, raising a questioning brow at her.
“I don’t know where she went to.” Priscilla replied. “She was in this room when Roxanne came to call me and when I returned, she was no longer in the room. It’s been almost thirty minutes and yet I can’t find her. ”
“I know she’s fine wherever she is so don’t be worried.” Pamela said.
“I asked all the maids and everyone said they haven’t seen her tonight. I’m so worried, ma’am Pamela.” Priscilla said, worriedly.
“Don’t worry, Priscilla. Ortega will be fine. But for now, the alpha wants you in his chamber.” Pamela said, and Priscilla’s eyes went wide with shock.Belongs to © n0velDrama.Org.
“What?!”
“You heard me right, Priscilla. The alpha wants you in his chamber right now so let’s go.” Pamela repeated.
“Why?, Did I do something wrong?” Priscilla asked in a worried tone.
“No, you didn’t do anything wrong.” Pamela shook her head negatively. “He just wants to ask you a few questions, that’s all.”
Priscilla took a deep breathe before speaking.
“Okay. Let’s go.”
The both of them walked out of the room.
‘What type of questions does the alpha want to ask me?’ Priscilla thought to herself as they made their way out of the building, then they walked inside the palace, heading straight to the alpha’s chamber.

(AT LORENA’S APARTMENT)
“So, how are we gonna kill that puny human now that she is in the royal clinic?” Lorena asked her two friends. She was sitting on a couch with her legs crossed.
“I don’t know.” Rose replied. “If we want to kill that human, then we first have to go through Agatha since she’s the healer and she’s the one in charge of the clinic.”
“Fighting Agatha is a suicide mission.” Roxanne said. She was leaning against a wall. “Agatha is a werewitch and that makes her stronger than the three of us combined. So there’s no way we can fight her.”
“So what are we gonna do?” Lorena asked in frustration. “We can’t let that human tell alpha Derrick everything she knows or else we’ll be in big trouble. We have to find a solution ASAP.”
The room fell into a grave silence as the three of them started thinking of the next line of action.
“I’ve got an idea!” Lorena said after a minute of silence and both Rose and Roxanne averted their gazes to her.
“Let’s hear it.” Rose said, and Lorena stood up.
“The human won’t be able to tell alpha Derrick anything if she doesn’t remember anything.” Lorena said, and both Rose and Roxanne stared at her in confusion.
“Can you please elaborate on what you’re saying?” Roxanne said as she walked to sit on the beside Rose on the couch.
“What I’m trying to say is that we can keep our secret safe if we wipe off the human’s memories.” Lorena replied.
“What?!” Rose and Roxanne exclaimed in shock at the same time.
“What’s wrong?” Lorena asked, glancing at the both of them.
“That idea is too cruel, Lorena.” Roxanne said and Lorena hissed loudly.
“Then do you have a better idea?” Lorena asked Roxanne in a mean voice, glaring hatefully at her.
“No, but we can’t go ahead with your idea. It sounds dangerous and inhumane.” Roxanne replied.
“And since when do you start pitying people, especially humans, huh?” Lorena asked sarcastically, and Roxanne rolled her eyes at her.
“I think we should go ahead with Lorena’s idea because it sounds like a good one.” Rose said, and both Lorena and Roxanne averted their gazes to her.
“Finally, someone is seeing things from my perspective.” Lorena smirked.
“But that idea is too cruel and wicked, Rose. The human will lose every memory she has and that…..”
“But we don’t have any other options.” Rose cut Roxanne off. “If you have other ideas on how to stop the human from telling alpha Derrick the truth, then let us know. If your idea sounds better than Lorena’s idea, then we’ll go ahead with it.”
“Tell us Roxanne, do you have a better idea than mine?” Lorena asked, crossing her arms over her chest.
“Yeah, I do.” Roxanne replied.
“Seriously?” Rose asked with raised brows.
“Yeah.” Roxanne nodded.
“Okay. Let’s hear it.” Lorena said.
“I’m gonna tell the alpha everything that l happened but I’m gonna twist the story so he wouldn’t suspect a thing.”. Roxanne said, and both Rose and Lorena exchanged quick glances before returning their gazes back to Roxanne.
“Are you nuts?” Lorena asked with a deep frown on her face. “The alpha ain’t no fool. He’s gonna know that you’re telling him a lie. l and once he finds out that you told him a lie, we are automatically dead.”
“Don’t worry. I’m gonna fix this without implicating any of us.” Roxanne replied.
“Alright then, but what if the alpha….”
“Like I said earlier, don’t worry about anything.” Roxanne cut Rose off before she could complete her statement. “And even if the alpha suspects anything or find out about what really happened, I’m gonna keep you guys out of the matter.”
“So you mean if the alpha finds out about the truth, you’re gonna take the fall alone?” Rose asked, and Roxanne nodded as she rose to her feet.
“Yeah, I’m gonna take the fall alone.” Roxanne nodded.
“Why?” Lorena asked, raising a questioning brow at her.
“Why what?” Roxanne asked back.
“Why do you wanna take the fall alone?” Lorena asked in reply.
“Because it’s my fault.” Roxanne replied. “I caused the shit on ground by not killing that human when I was supposed to. So, if the alpha gets the truth, I’ll make sure the both of you don’t take part in whatever punishment the alpha will give me.” She added.
“Are you sure about this?” Rose asked, and Roxanne nodded.
“Yeah, and be rest assured that I’m gonna take the fall if the truth gets revealed.”
“Are you doing this because you don’t want us to wipe the human’s memories?” Lorena asked.
“No, I’m am doing this because I caused it.” Roxanne replied and she walked to the door.
“Alright. I wish you the best of luck.” Rose said, and Roxanne nodded before opening the door, then she stepped out of the apartment, shutting the door quietly.
“Do you trust Roxanne with what she wants to do?” Lorena asked immediately the door closed.
“I trust her, and I’m hundred percent sure that her plan is gonna work.” Rose replied.
“But are you sure she’s not gonna stab us in the back?” Lorena asked.
“That, I do not know.” replied Rose.
“I suggest we have a backup plan Incase she betrays us.” Lorena said, and Rose furrowed her brows at her.
“Don’t you trust Roxanne?” She asked.
“I trust her, but I’m just saying we should have a backup plan Incase things get out of hand.” Lorena replied.
“And do you have one?” Rose inquired, and Lorena smirked evilly before speaking.
“Yeah, I have a the perfect backup plan that will save our asses when things get messy.”
