Khloe quickly figured it out. “This car is coated with photochromic paint. It contains special materials that react to light, changing color depending on its intensity and wavelength. That’s why the colors shift when the display lights switch between warm and cool tones. It’s a new innovation by Gloiswen.”

Shelton glanced at Khloe in surprise, clearly not expecting the actress to be so knowledgeable. “Miss Evans, you’re absolutely right. This paint is the result of cutting-edge innovation, and until now, it’s only been used by the Gloiswen army. It’s the first time it’s being used on civilian vehicles. It’s a huge deal and incredibly rare.”

“That’s impressive! Khloe, what do you think of this car?” Tess asked, eager to hear her opinion.

Khloe was certainly tempted. The moment her eyes landed on the car, she immediately thought of Henrik. The car matched him perfectly.

From the moment they met, Henrik had always been there for her, offering both financial and emotional support, while she hadn’t given him anything of true value in return.

Khloe wanted to buy the car as a gift for him, so she asked, “Not bad at all. How much does it cost?”

Shelton raised a single finger. “One hundred million.”

“What? One hundred million?” Tess’s eyes widened in shock. Though she wasn’t exactly strapped for cash, spending that much on a car seemed almost excessive, even by her standards.

Khloe, however, remained composed. She didn’t have the full hundred million in hand, but she could always buy it on hire purchase. With the cosmetics line about to hit the market, she knew making the money would be easy, so she wasn’t concerned about the payment.

Just as Khloe was about to place the order, a haughty female voice rang out from behind. “I’ll take this car.”

Khloe turned and saw a woman standing not far behind her, radiating an unmistakable air of arrogance. She wore a lavish custom-made gown, and her face, perfectly adorned with makeup, barely hid the disdain in her expression. She held a limited-edition designer handbag, and several people accompanied her, all giving off an overbearing vibe.

Seeing Khloe glance at her, the woman spoke again, her eyes cold and unyielding. “I’ll take this car.”

Khloe frowned at the woman’s audacity. Tess, on edge, immediately protested, “Who are you? Didn’t you see we were already about to buy it? Do you not understand first come, first served?”

The woman barely glanced at Tess, her lips curling in disdain. “And what if you’ve ordered it? When I, Selena Castillo, want something, no one can stop me. I’ll pay double, and this McLaren is mine.”

Just then, a man in a suit stepped forward from Selena’s side. He pointed sharply at Shelton and barked, “Didn’t you hear? Miss Castillo wants this car. Get the contract ready now!”

“Mr. White!” Shelton’s face drained of color as he recognized the man as the Mayor’s secretary. He quickly scrambled to prepare the contract.

“Wait!” Khloe’s voice rang out, cold and commanding, cutting through the rising tension. “Are you deaf? I said, I want this car.”

As she spoke, a chilling aura seemed to radiate from her, and the temperature in the room dropped noticeably.

Jack White was momentarily taken aback by the sharpness of her presence, a chill running down his spine. He briefly wondered which powerful family she belonged to. Someone nearby whispered, “That’s Khloe Evans, an actress.”

“Just an actress?” Jack scoffed. “How could someone so insignificant challenge someone of the Mayor’s caliber?”
