“It was a hacker, someone highly skilled in video editing. His name is Francis Chapman—a known figure on the dark net. The original video showed Charlotte returning something, not stealing it. But after it was edited, it looks like theft.” Jessi’s eyes were blank, as if all life had drained from them, leaving her as nothing more than a puppet in Khloe’s grasp. “Mr. Gray leaked confidential school information to create a distraction for Charlotte. And my best friend helped me find people willing to act like they’d been bullied. The girl in the bullying video wasn’t Charlotte, but an actress made up to look like her.”

Braeden, who had maintained a composed front on screen, went pale as Jessi’s confession sank in. His legs faltered, on the verge of buckling under him. He never thought Jessi would sell him out so easily.

“You’re fucking idiot! How could you turn on me like this?” Braeden roared, jabbing a finger at Jessi. His once-friendly expression twisted with rage, making him look almost monstrous. Framing minors and covering up for school bullies were severe crimes, and Braeden’s actions could easily land him a life sentence.

Jessi’s phone slipped from her grasp, hitting the floor with a loud thud. Khloe bent down, picked it up, and fixed Braeden with a chilling stare. “This is your only chance, Braeden Gray. Turn yourself in now. If you don’t, I’ll see to it personally that you’re dealt with, and I promise, your punishment will be far worse.”

With those words, she hung up the call.

She didn’t waste time worrying about Braeden fleeing. In a city controlled by Henrik’s network, there was simply nowhere for Braeden to hide.

Turning her attention back to Jessi, who sat on the floor in a daze, Khloe asked, “Did you keep anything else related to Charlotte?”

“Why on earth would I hold on to the belongings of someone so worthless?” Jessi spat, her venomous personality surfacing under hypnosis. “That pathetic tramp! She had the nerve to outshine me in school and make my family criticize me for not measuring up! I had no choice but to destroy her! The videos I took of her? They’re priceless entertainment. I made her cut off her hair and eat it. I even dangled her over a river, almost drowning her. She deserved every bit of it!”
