Please Give Me Another Chance Mrs Hamilton

Chapter 452

Having a mother like Jennifer was a misfortune to Nadine.

As Nadine ended the call, Jennifer's face turned pale with rage. Unwilling to give up, she dialed Nadine's number several more times. Each time, it went unanswered.

Realizing that Nadine wasn't going to pick up, Jennifer cursed for a good while, saying all the horrible things she could think of. She then put away her phone after cussing, though she still felt unsatisfied.

Jennifer decided to call her husband, David. "Darling, I called Nad. But that child is completely distant now. Not only did she refuse to take my call, but she also wants to cut ties with me.

"How can a daughter treat her mother like this? How can a daughter hold a grudge against her mother? How could she be so heartless?"

When David heard that Jennifer hadn't been able to get the money, his anger flared up. "Jennifer, the Gentry family doesn't support freeloaders. If my son can't get married because you couldn't prepare the money, you can forget about having a good life.

"It's just 40 thousand dollars. For the Hamiltons, that's nothing. Talk to Nadine again. If that doesn't work, go to the Hamiltons. I refuse to believe that she doesn't care about you-you're her mother.

The Gentry family only had one son in the last three generations-Samuel is our last hope. If he doesn't get married, our family lineage will end as we know it. Can you really bear to let that happen?"

Listening to David's complaints and remembering Nadine's coldness, Jennifer's hatred for her grew deeper.

"Darling, don't be mad. I think Nad is just upset because I didn't love her enough when she was younger. Give me more time, I'll coax her, and we'll get the 40 thousand dollars. Don't worry."

Jennifer called David to seek help. But he didn't even notice her distress, nor did he offer any help. This only deepened the resentment festering in Jennifer's heart.

Narrowing her eyes, Jennifer looked out into the distance. She clenched her teeth as she gazed at the city's skyline. "Nadine, if you refuse to show kindness, don't blame me for being ruthless."

...

Jennifer's call didn't affect Nadine's mood at all. The trip to Chillnada had been a delightful one for both her and Sean. They were both mentally and physically refreshed.

As for the things that happened earlier, Nadine didn't care in the slightest. She didn't pay any mind to the public opinion.

The crowdfunding for her on Instagram had long surpassed one million dollars. Everyone was waiting for a response from Brad. But it was as if he had disappeared off the face of the earth. There was no word or action from him whatsoever.

Everyone on Instagram had pressed him for a response, but he remained silent.

When Tyler saw Nadine return fully energized, he immediately walked up to her. "Nad, you're back? How was your trip? Did you have fun?"

Nadine hadn't posted anything on her Instagram story. So although Tyler followed her on Instagram, he had no idea what she'd been up to in Chillnada. He missed her dearly. If he had known more about her plans, he might have followed her there.

Nadine subtly took half a step back to create some distance between them. She smiled and said, "I had a great time. Thanks for your concern, Tyler.

"By the way, I brought gifts for you and everyone else. I'll give them to you after I finish my rounds."

Nadine's polite yet distant attitude filled Tyler with dissatisfaction. He couldn't help but complain, "Nad, must you keep drawing a line between us? Can't we even be friends? noveldrama

"About last time, I know I was wrong. I shouldn't have forced you like that. But I really like you, and I couldn't control myself. Can't you give me another chance?"

Just as Nadine was about to reply, a voice suddenly came from behind her. "Another chance to hurt her?"
