Purchased A Mr. Right

Chapter 1964

Chapter 1964

...

Lyle's suggestion confused Mia.

She checked the hot searches and saw that the top-ranked pieces of news were about Sonya.

The keywords were: "Sonya was fired", "Will Sonya step away from the entertainment industry?", "Sonya's career as a star", and so on.

When Mia browsed through each news, she found out that E and M had issued an official statement in the morning: unconditionally terminating the contracts with Sonya because of Sonya's improper acts.

Sonya lost her long-term contracts with E and M.

It was well-known that E and M found Sonya and made her a famous star. Though there were always rumors about her, she had made considerable benefits and was a source of income for the companies.

Now, E and M announced that they would unconditionally terminate the contracts with her and pay the penalty.

But even so, the two companies decided to terminate the contracts, which meant that it must be Sonya's fault. Otherwise, she would not have been kicked out by her boss so mercilessly.

The E and M were tycoons in the entertainment industry. No one dared to offend them. What would happen to the abandoned Sonya? Her career as a star was at stake.

The two staff members accompanying Sonya also lost their jobs. However, since they were nobodies, no one paid attention to them.

The netizens were all busy seeing the fun.

Mia finished scanning the related news and remarks, blinking her eyes in disbelief.

There was a sound from the entrance. Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.

Desmond came back to pick her up after work.

Mia quickly put down her phone, picked up her small bag, and followed him to his grandpa's house.

This time, Desmond drove a fantastic sports car.

Its chassis was very close to the ground, making it less comfortable than ordinary cars. Nevertheless, roars from its engine sounded very cool.

When the car stopped before a red traffic light, Mia spoke up, her mind still filled with news from her phone. "I've seen the hot searches about Sonya. Your companies fired her."

Desmond glanced at her, raising his brows.

Mia asked hesitantly, "Did you do it for me?"

Desmond replied lazily, "Yes."

Before he arrived at the concert, the driver of the villa had reported what had happened between Sonya and her to him, including every sarcastic word that Sonya and the two staff members had said to Mia.

Desmond was very protective of his dear wife.

Seeing that Mia was staring at him, he turned the limited edition watch on his wrist and said in a bossy tone, "You're my wife, and she's just an employee. As an employee, she should never offend

her superior."

Therefore, he helped her vent her anger.

Mia showed a smile, and her eyes sparkling with joy looked as bright as stars.

Desmond was momentarily absent-minded after seeing this.

She was so easy to satisfy, and her smile was so charming.

His grandpa liked girls more than boys.

Desmond had witnessed it with his own experience since he was young, so it was not surprising that the old man loved Mia so much. Besides, her adorable appearance and lovely character could easily win the elders' favor.

Mr. Borbo lived alone, accompanied by an old butler and the servants.

Desmond's parents didn't come tonight. There were only the two of them visiting him.

As Mr. Borbo had ordered, the kitchen prepared a big meal.

His grandpa pulled Mia to sit beside him with a big smile and kept picking up different food onto her plate. Before she started to eat, her small white plate was filled with food.

Mia was very patient and answered each of his questions thoughtfully. With her accompany, Mr. Borbon was so delighted that he ate half a bowl of rice more than usual.

It seemed to him that Mia was his grandchild instead of Desmond.

Desmond, who had been ignored throughout the meal, was speechless.

He was now worthless compared with Mia.

After dinner, Mr. Borbon called Desmond to his study.

Desmond was used to this. Usually, when they came to his grandpa's place to eat, he would call them to the study to give them some advice.

The content of the lecture was nothing more than judging him for being reckless in his private life. Before he got married, he would always urge him to get a wife. Now that he had married a beautiful and decent lady, his grandpa began to teach him the nice things he could do to Mia.

He even told him to take good care of Mia's seven white geese.

Hearing that, Desmond rolled his eyes.

Mia had brought a lot of animals from the countryside, including the little dog, the yellow cat, and the two gray rabbits. He got along well with them, except for the seven white geese.

Every time Desmond went home and saw the geese, he felt an urge to stew them secretly.

However, Mia loved them very much.

He was afraid that she would be sad, so he had to give up the idea.

Desmond lazily got up from his chair when his grandpa was almost done speaking. "If you're done lecturing me, I'll go home to sleep!"

Mr. Borbon, seemingly alarmed by the word "sleep", narrowed his eyes, though he was tired.

Desmond was puzzled.

His grandpa looked at him, wanting to say something, but stopped. Then he asked tactfully, "Do you have any, well, physical problems?"

Sabine had reported their lives to him.

She told him that Mia looked worried one morning. The newly married couple had been getting along well with each other and didn't quarrel, so what could make her so unhappy?

His grandpa had thought of one unspeakable possibility.

Desmond was struck dumb.

WHAT?!

When they returned to the villa, Mia noticed that Desmond lapsed into a sullen silence.

His face was dark even after he took a shower.

Mia was in her pajamas. The lively rabbit pattern on her pajamas made her look like a little and soft child.

She got into the quilt.

Desmond propped his chin with one hand. "Does it still hurt?"

Mia blushed first and then shook her head. "No, it doesn't hurt anymore."

She had just taken a shower and used the medicine Desmond had bought for her. It was amazing that she no longer felt uncomfortable.

Desmond nodded. "That's good!"

Mia was too embarrassed to look at him.

Suddenly, Desmond pounced on her eagerly without turning the lights off.

His hands smoothly reached into her pajama top.

Mia's face blushed bright red, and her eyes were flustered. "Desmond, what are you doing..."

There seemed to be two clusters of fire burning in Desmond's eyes. Overwhelmed by sexual desire, he said through his clenched teeth, "I want to prove that I'm a sound and healthy man!"

Mia had nothing to say to reply.

Then, only quickened breathing could be heard n the room.

And only the rolling quilt could be seen.

...

Early in the morning, the sun rose.

Sabine was feeding animals in the courtyard. In the dining room, Desmond and Mia were having breakfast.

Mia's phone rang.

She picked it up while drinking milk.

The phone call was from Lyle. She excitedly shared with her the news that Josiah Quave, their idol and beloved prince charming, would hold a concert at the end of this month.

Josiah studied music abroad for half a year, and this concert was his first show back on the stage. As his die-hard fans, they certainly could not miss the opportunity to support their idol.

After hanging up, Desmond casually asked, "Was it your friend called Josiah?"

Desmond remembered Lyle. He had seen her in the countryside the last time he came back with Mia after they married. He knew that Lyle was Mia's childhood friend and was very close to her.

"Yes." Mia nodded.

She thought of something and blinked her eyes. "Desmond, can I ask you for a favor?"
