Chapter 258
The skies at about five in the evening were still relatively bright, but the streets of Herland had become lively.
Children had just finished school while adults had just finished work. The streets were once again filled with life.
Naomi only realized she forgot to book a restaurant beforehand when Charles mentioned having a meal. Somehow, this did not cross her mind when they talked and had lunch. When she returned to the event venue, she immediately got to work, so she did not think about it then either.
She blamed herself a little. She should have thought of it. This was not something she should forget.
Before Naomi could find a restaurant, Charles had told her that he had reserved one.
Naomi immediately thought about the restaurant she had by the riverbanks of Le Soleil, the one that Dylan said was 'the best restaurant around'. Those who came to visit Le Soleil would go to that restaurant.
The dishes in that restaurant were tasty. They had great names for their dishes as well.
That was why when Charles mentioned that he had already reserved a restaurant, she immediately thought of this restaurant.
When Charles told her the restaurant's name, her heart skipped a beat.
'Till Death Do Us Part'. This was the name of the restaurant, as well as their classic dish. Dylan had told them that it was based on a romantic story. Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
Naomi fell silent.
Some things were better left unknown. Knowing it would change everything.
Naomi understood why Charles wanted to take her to that restaurant. She understood what he was thinking.
Charles noticed how distant Naomi looked. The serenity in her eyes seemed to have changed as a thought must have crossed her mind.
His heart was beating a little quicker, but his gaze gleamed tenderly. His feelings got more intense. "Shall we head over there?" He said gently with a hint of nervousness, caution, as well as a little bit of hope and eagerness.
Naomi nodded. "Yes, let's."
She had to go. It only made sense that she did.
Not only did the restaurant have a great backstory, but the dishes tasted great too. If Charles had not reserved this restaurant, she had thought of taking him to this restaurant as well.
Dylan himself said it best; those who came to the riverbanks of Le Soleil would choose this restaurant.
Charles smiled in relief. She knew what he was thinking, yet she still agreed to it. He was elated. He never felt this way before.
They were not far from the restaurant, but it was still quite a bit of a distance if they had to walk, which was why Charles suggested that they have a meal first before coming out to walk around.
Naomi agreed with him.
Soon, they hailed a taxi and got into it. They headed to the restaurant. Any good restaurant needed a reservation, much less a restaurant that everyone knew about. It had to be reserved well in advance.
When Charles and Naomi arrived, there were already quite a lot of people in the restaurant.
The waiter went up to them and asked politely, "Do you have a reservation?"
Charles said, "Yes. Three one seven two."
"Alright, please come with me."
The moment they entered, they were asked if they had a reservation. Naomi looked around to see number plates on each table. She guessed they had to be reserved ahead of time.
Naomi thought about how if she had the chance in the future, she should take Amelia to have a meal here. Amelia, after all, was a food connoisseur. She would surely like it here.
Soon, they were led upstairs.
At the same moment, a white BMW had just parked in the parking lot right outside the restaurant.
The car doors opened. Olivia and Connor got out of the car.
