Rejected Mate's Redemption (Freda and James)

Mates 37

Mates 37

Chapter 37 KAIDEN STIRLING “Daddy!” Harper squealed as she hurried to the dinning table in a jean pinafore. Her gorgeous blonde hair had been packed into two pigtails that were adorned with bows and she looked incredibly adorable. “My princess,” I grinned, getting out of my seat just in time to grab her under her shoulders and lift her go into the air. She screamed with excitement and then laughed. “How’s my one and only princess doing today?” I asked, placing her in her special seat and handing her a full bowl of sliced fruits. She happily dug in. “Woah, looks like someone is hungry,” I said with a smile and she gave me a smile through a mouthful of watermelon. One of the maids had already dressed her up for school since Safiya had refused to come out of the room. I sighed as I ate my pancakes. G**n it, I was tired of the pancakes. If there was any other thing I could have for breakfast, I will greatly appreciate it. I was worried about Safiya, for a lot of reasons. She was not taking proper care of herself and that worried me. She was pregnant. I could not possibly allow anything to happen to her. As much as the child she was carrying was hers, it was mine as well. Chapter 37 1 She always **d meals and she did not exercise and take antenatal care as much as she had when she was pregnant with Harper. I feared that was because of me. That was the second reason I was worried about her. She was trying to punish me by hurting herself. She was angry at me for the ways I had been treating her and gradually growing indifferent towards her over these years. It just was not something I could help. I did not love her anymore. I was not even sure I ever loved her. It was just an obsession I had had over her and it had died the moment my mate had left.

A foolish part of me had fed on the enjoyment we got from Safiya as an obsession because I had always thought Fredal would always be there for me to f**k, for me to hold, for me to lay my complains. Goddess, for a man as s**id as was, I could not understand how the moon goddess had made me the Alpha by birthright. Another reason I was worried was over the fact that’s she hated her sister because of me. She hated Freda and she did not try to hide it anymore. That was my fault, and absolutely hated myself for it. I had come in between the sisters the moment I had started dating Safiya while I manipulated Freda to satisfy my needs because of the feelings she had for me as her mate. I understood why both of them were angry at me. But the one thing I could not understand was Safiya’s anger at her sister. Freda had refused to look at me any other way than as an 11001 Chapter 37 enemy ever since she had come back and found out that Safiya was married to me. That hurt, but she was being completely faithful to her sister. Why wasn’t Safiya the same way? “What of Mom?” Harper asked, pushing her plate towards me. She was done with her food and she rushed to grab her bag from where it sat on one of the couches. I carried her lunch bag with me and instructed a maid to send food up to Safiya. “She’s still asleep,” I told Harper a half truth. Harper nodded. “When you get back home, tell her I said hi,” she said and I nodded, bending down at the waist so I could kiss her forehead. She blushed crimson and grabbed my hand as we headed out towards the driveway. I put her in her car seat and buckled her in. Her school was a twenty minute drive away from the pack house. I parked the car at the entrance of the kindergarten school and went to open the door for her. “Bye dad!” She called and kissed my arm where she could reach before running off. I turned to look at her after I shut the door and realized that she was not going towards the entrance. She was running towards a small boy. Property © NôvelDrama.Org.

A boy that looked just like me. Francisco. His mother was not far behind. My heart s**d a beat, and I did not have as much control over my wolf as I did, I would have been running towards her the way my daughter had fun towards her son… My son… Harper’s brother. Oh hell… Chapter 37 “Francisco,” Harper said with a big smile which Francisco shyly returned. He was so adorable. He took Harper’s hand gently and turned to save goodbye at his mom before they walked to the entrance together. “Hey, big man,” I said with a grin, intercepting both of them on their way. He grinned up at me and then laughed as I ruffled his hair. Freda’s smile as she stared at our son walk into the school with his step sister. Goddess, the whole family dynamic was weird. I did not regret having both my son and daughter though. I just wish I had been able to control the erratic piece of s**t I had been back then. I walked towards Freda who stared straight ahead. “Hey,” I said and she responded with a cool “Hi.” I sighed as I looked at her. “Freda, I was serious about being a father to Francisco. I know that makes you uncomfortable. You don’t have to tell me the reason again, but I can’t leave my son alone.” I told her with exasperation. I needed her to stop being so cold to me. “You don’t have to be there for him, Kaiden, please,” she looked at me with pleading eyes. “Think about what this will do to him, to my already ruined relationship with my sister. I can take care of him on my own, just back off,” she pleaded and I was quite for some minutes Then I shook my head. Despite the fact that she had a point, I was going to have to be selfish for my son this time. I needed to have a relationship with my son and he needed one with his Chapter 37 father. “I’m sorry, but I’ll face the consequences,” I said and walked back to my car.
