Riches in Disguise

Chapter 382

I didn't want to tell the young lady that I owned this apartment building. Otherwise, my failure to maintain order would reflect poorly on me, and she might even try to hold me liable.

Hence, I figured stepping in as just a passerby standing up for justice would be better. Once the matter was settled, I'd quietly withdraw.

"Justice, my foot!" One of the thugs couldn't take it anymore and rushed at me with a fist ready to strike.

Just as he was about to step forward, his neck was seized by someone.

Quintus had one hand clamped firmly around his throat and swiftly seized his left arm with the other. With a crisp snap, he dislocated the thug's arm.

The other thug was terrified and attempted to flee but was promptly kicked to the ground by Quintus.

In the blink of an eye, the two were left sprawled on the ground and barely able to

move.

I stood up and smiled, saying, "I already told you. If you'd just behaved, none of this would've happened. If you act recklessly, you will get hurt. You didn't listen. Are you regretting it now?

I added, "Alright. Hurry over here and kneel. Apologize to this young lady as I told you."

Quintus kicked the two men forward as soon as I finished speaking, forcing them to stumble to their knees before me and the young lady.

She glanced at them in confusion and then looked up at me. "A-Are you serious?"

I shrugged, smiling wryly. "What more do I need to do to convince you?"

"I-I don't mean to doubt you. It's just that..." She gulped nervously, unable to finish her sentence.noveldrama

After being beaten by Quintus, the two men realized that they were no match for him. If they kept opposing me, they'd only suffer worse at his hands. Left with no other choice, they knelt and pleaded.

"W-We know we were wrong! Please, spare us!"

"We were just doing what Marcus told us! We're innocent victims, too!"

Seriously? Were they calling themselves victims?

I sneered coldly. "Cut the nonsense. I'll count to three. Don't blame me if you still haven't apologized and cracked your own heads by then. I'll have choice but to let him handle it. He's strong, and if he accidentally goes too far and leaves you with brain damage, don't come crying to me."

Based on what just happened, they'd have to be somewhat foolish not to realize I was serious. As expected, their faces contorted with hesitation and inner conflict after hearing what I said.

When I counted to three, they instinctively grabbed something close by and cautiously knocked it against their heads. Since it was their skulls, they didn't dare use too much strength.

Before anyone could react, Quintus raised an ashtray and smashed it hard against one of their heads. As he released it, the glass ashtray shattered into shards.

The thug who got hit collapsed to the ground immediately.

The other thug was so terrified that he didn't think twice and grabbed a nearby

vase and smashed it against his own head.

Blood gushed out instantly.

He stammered, "I-Is that enough?"

The young lady covered her mouth

in fear. It seemed that her earlier

demand for them to beg for mercy 1

was just an act of defiance. Now that they were actually being forced to do it, she was scared ando nervous. She hurriedly looked at me and said, "E-Enough. I don't want them to do this."

But I didn't relent. "You don't want it, but I do."
