Shrouded Affections Winning Back My CEO Wife

Chapter 394

Chapter 394:

Raymond headed straight for the underground parking, while Eileen waited at the entrance after bidding farewell to Trenton and the others.

The night air was mild, and the breeze felt pleasant against her skin. Eileen leaned against a pillar, replying to a message from Bryan, telling him she would be home soon.

Suddenly, a figure appeared before her. Thinking it was Raymond, Eileen instinctively put away her phone and started down the steps, but she tripped and fell into an unexpectedly firm embrace.

The strong scent of cologne overwhelmed her senses, and she was stunned for a moment before quickly pushing the person away and standing up.

“Thank you.” Eileen stepped back onto the steps, now getting a better look at the person. To her surprise, he wasn’t a young man.

He looked to be no older than twenty, not much older than Milford. He was of mixed heritage, with striking azure eyes, long, curly eyelashes, and chestnut-colored, slightly curly hair. His movements had the grace of someone from noble lineage.

He spoke with an accent, “Could you lend me a hundred dollars for a taxi ride home, Miss?” The boy pulled a business card from his pocket and handed it to her. “My name is Christos Padilla. This is my card. I’ve lost my phone and have no cash, and I can’t get home. I’ll repay you later.”

Eileen instinctively touched her wallet. “Sorry, I don’t have any cash on me.”

Glancing to the side, Eileen noticed Raymond’s car approaching. She turned toward him and said, “Let me ask my assistant if he has any cash.”

Stepping off the stairs, she approached Raymond’s car. “Do you have any cash?” she asked.

Raymond quickly opened his wallet. “How much do you need?”

“A hundred should do.” Eileen took a banknote from him, turned back, and handed it to Christos. “Here you go.”

“Thank you.” Christos accepted it with a smile. “Miss, could you leave your contact details so I can repay you?”

As Eileen turned to leave, she heard his request and chuckled, declining, “No need.”

But Christos persisted, “Are you worried I’ll disturb you at work? Can I befriend you on WhatsApp? I’ll send you the money when I get home and then delete it. You wouldn’t want me to exhaust myself searching for you later, would you?”

Hearing his constant talking, Eileen realized he was determined to repay her. So, she simply handed him a business card. “My number is on it.”

Christos took the card and, insisting on being polite, pushed his own card into her hand.

Eileen took it and was about to return to the car when she sneezed. The strong scent of Christos’ cologne had made her feel slightly uncomfortable.noveldrama
