Chapter 430
Chapter 430:
She pointed a finger at Eileen, her voice rising with anger. “Is this the woman you chose? One who resorts to such vile and shameful tactics!”noveldrama
Eileen felt the sting of the accusations, but Bryan’s gaze remained cold, cutting through Zola’s words with an icy clarity.
“Do you really think I envy your position at Apex Group?” Eileen responded, her voice dripping with disdain. “And being recognized by his parents—do you honestly believe that’s something I care about?”
What Zola valued so highly was something neither Eileen nor Bryan cared for in the least.
Zola reached out for Bryan, but he swiftly stepped back, avoiding her touch.
“Dirty,” Bryan stated coldly.
“I’m not!” Zola protested, tears streaming down her face. “Bryan, I was coerced. Please believe me, I—I—”
“Whether I believe you is beside the point,” Bryan interrupted firmly. “If you’re here to settle a score, I’m ready. If you’re here to pick up Milford, leave now.”
Bryan’s patience with Zola had completely evaporated. He turned to Eileen, gesturing for her to call Milford down.
When Eileen looked around the room, she saw Milford already standing in the living room, his small backpack slung over his shoulder with just a few clothes packed inside.
“I’m ready to go,” Milford announced, changing his shoes without a word and bypassing Eileen as he headed for the door.
He walked down the stairs without looking back, getting into Zola’s car without a second glance.

Zola shot Eileen a resentful look. “Fine, Eileen, this isn’t over! You’ll regret this!” she spat, storming into the car. Within moments, it sped away like an arrow.
Eileen paused, lightly tugging at Bryan’s sleeve. “I overlooked Milford in all of this,” she admitted, her thoughts consumed by thwarting Zola, yet she hadn’t fully considered that Zola was Milford’s sister.
“Milford knows right from wrong,” Bryan reassured her, firmly closing the door and grasping her wrist. “If this is troubling you, I’ll handle it from here.”
Eileen rolled her eyes, skeptical. “Does it really matter whether it’s you or me handling this?”
To Milford, there was no distinction.
Eileen’s words seemed to please Bryan, a subtle smile forming on his lips. “True, in that case, I’ll leave it all in your hands.”
Eileen felt concerned about how Milford would react, knowing that Zola had always manipulated situations from behind the scenes, never confronting her directly.
