Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 1079

Mia was rifling through her printed references again, fishing out her dusty thesis proposal from the bookmarks. Faced with the intimidating blank document, she was so frustrated she actually banged her head on the desk. Little Henry, seeing his mom in distress, quickly crawled over and cuddled up to her, stopping her from hitting her head again.

Molly felt like joining in on the desk-banging, but her baby bump wouldn't let her bend that far. Just then, the butler walked in. "Mr. Andre, there's an invitation from the Harris family. It's Grandpa Harris's big birthday bash, and they'd love for you to come."

Mia shot a look at her husband. Trying to escape again?

Andre felt a wave of old frustrations well up. "Not happening!"

The butler hesitated, "Sir, Grandpa Harris personally called. His granddaughter-in-law is pregnant too, so it's a double celebration."

Andre replied, "Tell him my wife is working on her dissertation and I need to be here to support her. We can't leave.

"Understood."

Once the butler left, Mia felt a sense of relief wash over her. She cupped her face in her hands, playfully coaxing, "Honey! come sit with me."

Andre moved closer, giving her the comfort she needed.

Mia had heard how thesis defenses were getting tougher, with shoddy work being outright rejected and questions becoming trickier. She was anxious about not being able to answer properly or her work falling short.

Chad returned at that moment with Molly calling out, "Chad!" Her voice was almost hypnotic.

Chad sat down, and Molly's intense gaze made Officer Chad's heart skip a beat. "I'm not sure I can handle this," he admitted.

Jade chimed in, "A man should never admit defeat."

Officer Chad: "..."

On a sunny afternoon, the sisters sat across from each other in the Cedillo family's conference room. Between them was a chubby toddler, a water bottle in one hand and his toes in the other. He was the envy of the family.

"Henry, how about you spill some water on mom's laptop?" Mia suggested, thinking she could then pin it on her husband.noveldrama

"And on your aunt's laptop, how about pouring your formula over it?" Molly added, thinking she could blame Andre too.

Being Andre's adored son, it would be up to him to manage the "mischief."

Henry, seeing his mom and aunt plotting, wasn't foolish. He knew causing trouble would earn him a spanking from dad when he got home.

Recently, outgrowing his diapers meant his dad had an easier time spanking him!

"I remember when Naomi was little, she pulled a prank by pouring dirty water on Leo," Mia reminisced. Molly, twirling her fingers, mused, "Should we try something similar?"

Their little witness, Henry, continued sipping his milk and playing with his toes.

The sisters picked up a cup of water, eyeing their laptops but hesitated. "Mia, maybe we should switch?" Molly suggested.

Mia took a sip, her face a mix of emotions. "Molly, I think we should just write it ourselves. My son's watching I don't want him picking up bad habits. Let's use this time to really refine our writing. Didn't they say they'd help us with feedback?"

Molly nodded, "You're right. It's ultimately up to us, and avoiding t won't fix anything. Besides, men can't be relied on anyway.” She took a sip of water, "Let's start brainstorming then.”

Henry switched hands to drink, scratching his head.

Friday rolled around.

Tony let out a loud yell in his apartment, practically hitting a high note.

His roommate jolted awake, "Tony, what's up?"
