Swept Into a Fairytale Marriage

Swept Into a Fairytale Marriage 71

Chapter 71 Adrian’s First Time

After ensuring her safety, Farrah thanked Corey again and prepared to call a cab. Corey, concerned, offered to drive her home, but she declined. Since she was still keeping her marriage a secret, there was no way Farrah could let Corey know she was married to Adrian and living with him.

Farrah wanted to prove herself in the Enduring Moments line through her own efforts, not by relying on a man. She was determined to silence all the gossip. Hence, she left in a cab.

Corey saw her off, only feeling at ease once she was safely in the vehicle. Little did anyone know how much he truly loved her. Even that brief moment of physical contact when he could look into her eyes made him feel content.

However, Corey still could not make sense of why Jordan had chased after Farrah.

Farrah finally reached home. She stepped out of the elevator and took a deep breath to calm her emotions, not wanting Adrian to notice something was off. Yet, as soon as she opened the door, she e saw an elderly figure inside.

“Grandpa?” she called out.

“Fay, you’re back?” Philip was happy to see her. “Come in, Adrian’s cooking in the kitchen. Dinner will be ready soon. You’re just in time to taste his cooking!”

“He can cook?” Farrah was surprised, placing her bags on the counter, “Grandpa, he even burns ravioli!”

“Who are you talking about?” Adrian appeared at the kitchen door with a spatula. “A lot can change in a short time. You’ll surely be impressed this time. Go wash your hands!”

At six feet three, Adrian looked surprisingly cute in an apron. The sight caught Farrah by surprise. After all, this was a far cry from the man who commanded the fates of countless people at the company.

“Right, right! I was too quick to judge. I shouldn’t underestimate you.” Farrah backtracked, smiling. “Well, don’t let us interrupt your cooking. Do your best! I’ll have a chat with Grandpa for a bit.”

The light–hearted exchange made Philip particularly happy. He took Farrah’s hand and whispered, “I heard from Kenneth that Adrian gave you a necklace. Why aren’t you wearing it? Don’t you like it?”

Farrah was baffled that Kenneth would tell Philip about that. Nonetheless, to avoid any

misunderstandings, she quickly smiled and replied, “Of course, I like it. I love it! Adrian picked it out himself early in the morning. How could I not like it?”

“Bring it out and show me! Let me see his taste.”

“Sure,” Farrah said. As she headed to the bedroom, she found Philip amusing. He was meddling in every little thing, keeping Adrian on a tight leash.

When she brought the necklace box to Philip, he opened it immediately, took out the necklace, and put it on Farrah. “Since Adrian bought it, you must wear it. That’ll make him happy and encourage him to surprise you more. If you don’t wear it, he might think you don’t need it.”

After fastening the necklace, Philip stepped back to admire it. “It looks beautifull This necklace was made for you. No one else could pull it off like you do.”

“Thank you, Grandpa.” Farrah blushed at the compliment. She invited Philip to sit down and added, “I’ll check if he needs any help in the kitchen.”

#31 Time:

“Alright, go ahead.” Philip wanted nothing more than the young couple to grow closer.

When Farrah entered the kitchen, she discovered Adrian was learning to cook from a video. He held his phone in one hand and a spatula in the other. She could not help but think this must have been Philip’s idea.

She noticed that a few dishes were already prepared, so she offered, “Let me serve them.” Then, she picked up a plate and headed to the dining room.

When it came to men doing housework, encouragement was key. Farrah knew it was not wise to mock them but to praise them instead. Moreover, she was aware that she should never discourage their enthusiasm.

Adrian felt quite accomplished. After all, it was his first time cooking, and it was not as difficult as he had imagined. Besides, this homely atmosphere was something he had always dreamed of. This content belongs to Nô/velDra/ma.Org .

“Too much salt,” Philip commented after tasting the eggplant and green beans. “And the green beans aren’t cooked through. You need to simmer them longer.”
