Talented Heiress: A Rose With Thorns

Chapter 877

"That's right, Yvie. We were just chatting, not arguing," Xavier said, his voice calm and gentle.

Hearing this, the suspicion in Yvette's eyes dissipated. Her delicate eyebrows arched lazily.noveldrama

It made sense. Xavier had always been mild-tempered. He was never one to quarrel. She was just overthinking.

Meanwhile, Apollo and Miguel struggled to suppress their reactions, though they dared not utter a word.

"Let's go." Yvette stood up, stretching lazily, and took the lead in leaving the cabin. Apollo quickly followed, his demeanor thoroughly ingratiating.

The guards were still reeling from the shock of witnessing their awe-inspiring leader acting coy. Their stunned expressions hadn't even faded when they met Yvette's gaze.

A chill ran down their spines, and they immediately lowered their heads.

Yvette pressed her luscious, rosy lips together firmly before speaking with an air of authority. "You didn't see anything just now. Got it?"

"Yes, Ms. Murray! We absolutely understood!" The guards nodded in unison, their tone respectful.

Only then did Yvette feel like her dignity was restored. Satisfied, she nodded and continued walking out.

As soon as she left, the atmosphere inside the cabin grew tense and strained

once more.

"Earlier, you asked me if I knew whose territory this is." Wilson's lips curled slightly, his presence commanding and intense. His proud gaze landed on Xavier. "This is my fiancée's territory."

He deliberately emphasized Yvette's status. The implication of his triumph was clear as day.

Behind him, Samuel couldn't help but silently comment in his heart. "Wow, Mr. Quinn really knows how to strike where it hurts!"

Sure enough, Xavier's expression turned icy, his demeanor exuding a bone- chilling coldness.

Miguel and the others felt a shiver run down their spines.

Swallowing nervously, Miguel quickly tried to mediate. "Mr. Phillip, you and Ms: Murray have grown together. Your bonds are

unmatched. In her heart, you'll not

always be the person she trusts most!"

But the moment those words left his mouth, Miguel felt an even deeper chill run through him. Xavier's expression grew darker, his gaze more menacing.

Cold sweat broke out on Miguel's back as he shrank his neck in fear.

"What did I say wrong? Why does Mr. Phillip look even scarier than before?" he wondered.

Xavier's eyes were pitch-black, struggling to suppress the storm of emotions surging within him.

He didn't want to just be the person Yvie trusted the most. What he wanted more than anything was her love.

Apollo followed Yvette down the steps of the cabin, walking confidently.

When he saw the magnificent and imposing castle before him, even though he was firmly standing on the Dark Organization's territory, he still felt like he was dreaming.

For years, Shadow Alliance and Dark Organization had been mortal enemies. He never imagined there would come a day when he would set foot on their ground!

It was such a surreal feeling!

Wilson felt the same way. Memories

of life-and-death battles with the Dark Organization came flooding

back, recalling the times he had contemplated launching an attack to claim this place.

Now, however, he couldn't help but feel deeply grateful he hadn't gone through

with it back then. Otherwise, he wouldn't have Yvette now...

Unaware of his thoughts, Yvette curved her rosy lips into a smile and tilted her chin toward him.

"Welcome to my world."

Wilson's eyes brimmed with warmth and affection as he looked at her, a smile playing on his lips. His deep voice was irresistibly magnetic.

"It's an honor and a privilege."
