Chapter 253
Eloise had never imagined that Harvey would kiss her in public, especially not at a function like this. She stared wide-eyed at him.
Harvey met her gaze and softly ordered, "Close your eyes." His lips met hers in a lingering kiss.
Eloise's body trembled involuntarily. "Harvey, everyone is watching!"
A hint of lust was visible in his eyes. "Let them watch."
The room fell silent. They were having a full-on make-out session!
At the annual celebration of Everest Technologies, Harvey was passionately kissing his own wife. Who could say that he was celibate, or that he was not interested in women?
The employees of Everest Technologies jokingly offered to bring in a king-sized bed for their CEO.
The Horigan family watched in silence. Pauline, with tears in her eyes, gently covered Linda's eyes. Parker held his glass of whiskey, chewing Harvey out in his heart for his scandalous behavior.
After a long time, Harvey still didn't have enough of it. Eloise didn't want to indulge his madness. She gently played with the buttons of his shirt, whispering, "If we continue, we'll be the talk of the town tomorrow. Let's continue at home, okay?"
Harvey gave a soft laugh and let her go.
Their relationship now took a step forward, and he was in a good mood. He would occasionally glance at Eloise while socializing. His longing gaze was enough to make any woman weak at the knees. Of course, Eloise wasn't immune to his charms either.
Just as they were both feeling something at the moment, Denise approached and whispered something to Harvey.
Harvey frowned. He then handed his glass to Denise and said softly, "I'll go check on it." Then he left.
Eloise, who was busy mingling, noticed his departure and approached Denise. "Where did he go?"
Denise hesitated for a moment before revealing, "It's Ms. Joan. She threatens to jump off from the Everest Hotel if Mr. Horigan doesn't show up. If anything happens on a day like this, it will cause a lot of trouble for Everest Technologies."
Eloise nodded understandingly. She could understand the situation. After all, Harvey and Joan had a past together. If anything happened, the press would definitely make a big deal of it.
Eloise was not without worries. However, she had started anew with Harvey. He had promised her that she would be the only one for him, and she believed him.
Therefore, Eloise decided not to go after him. It was not just about trust in Harvey, but also confidence in herself. She was confident that she could keep Harvey's attention firmly on her.
Just as Eloise was about to return to her socializing, her secretary approached her. "Ms. Laurent, you have a phone call."
Harvey was in an office at the top floor, meeting with Joan. Also present were two staff members. For the evening, Joan had donned a fiery red dress. Unfortunately, her reckless lifestyle had left marks on her body, making her look rather scary in the vibrant color.
Harvey sat behind the office desk, still as dashing as ever despite being in his thirties.
Joan stared at him. She recalled the publicity photo of him with his wife and child. On it he smiled with satisfaction.
He had even kissed Eloise in public!
Tears blurred Joan's eyeliner as she sobbed, "Harvey, I refuse to believe that you've forgotten our past, and I certainly don't believe that you've fallen for Eloise!"
Harvey smoked a cigarette. He held it between his delicate fingers, an appealing gesture. He looked at Joan expressionlessly. "If it weren't for your dramatic threats of suicide, I wouldn't agree to meet with you, Joan. I don't want to discuss who was right or wrong in our past. All I want to say is, stop this nonsense."
Joan's lips quivered. "If I jump from here, you won't care?"
Her expression was manic. "You won't just stand by! You love me!"
Harvey's voice was cold. "Joan, I've done all I can for you. If you're determined to jump from here, then the security personnel in this building will have your body removed to a dark alley within a minute, waiting for your family to identify. As for the blood, it'll be washed away quickly."
He spoke these words with calm composure. There was no trace of nostalgia in his eyes for their past.
Harvey took a puff from his cig te. At that
ment, he realized that he was
attracted to women like Eloise, who would never harm themselves or others over emotions or men. Even though she sometimes annoyed him to no end, he couldn't help but be drawn to her.
In his thirties, he was certain that Eloise was the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.
Joan laughed. She lowered her voice, "Harvey, everything about you still attracts me. I don't want to let you go. Soon, Eloise will come here. She'll see that we've met again. Do you think this will annoy her? Will she still lie in your arms and allow you to kiss her?"
Harvey remained seated, but his expression was slightly tense.
Just then, the office door swung open. Eloise stood in the doorway.
Joan's smile widened. "Eloise, we meet again!"
Eloise walked in slowly. She stood in front of Joan, her voice calm, "Yes, we meet again. What did you call me for, Ms. Joan?"
Joan was taken aback. She lifted her chin slightly, "I just wanted to tell you that Harvey will never abandon me. We're meeting again, and I don't believe that you're not feeling anything."
Eloise smiled faintly, "If he's mine, he'll think of me no matter where he is. If he's not, even if you were in Britain, he'd still look for you."
Joan was taken aback. She hadn't expected Eloise to be so indifferent.
Eloise turned to Harvey and spoke softly, "Joan, you think that your relationship with him is unforgettable. But what Harvey and I have been through has already replaced your past. He might not always be mine, but he's long stopped being yours."
Joan turned pale. She had completely lost. No one cared about her existence anymore.
Harvey asked the staff to escort her out. When the office was finally quiet, he got up from behind the desk and walked over to Eloise. He held her gently. His voice was shaky, "Mrs. Horigan, thank you."
Eloise leaned into him. The embrace was so warm, and they had no intention to make it more than that.
After a while, she whispered softly, "Even if I don't trust your feelings for me, I trust your love for Linda. Joan can't compare..."
Her face was nestled in his neck, warm and soft.
Harvey was always perfect, charming, and attracting women. But Eloise never told him. She actually preferred him as Linda's dad... She murmured in his ear, "We haven't got our marriage certificate yet, Harvey. Do you feel a bit like we're having an affair?"
Harvey's blood heated at her words. He never knew Eloise could tease him like this. His male instincts led him to respond quickly. He pressed her body against his, and his voice was hoarse, "So, how about a hotel room instead of going home?"
Eloise felt soft and warm, "I want to go home, want to do it in your bed."
Harvey nibbled her earlobe, flirting, "Where did you learn all this... hmm? Who else could teach you these things except me?"
He couldn't resist anymore and lifted her onto his large office desk. He leaned over and kissed her.
Harvey was deeply aroused, and Eloise was very responsive to him. The atmosphere was perfect. After a long while, he rested his head on her shoulder, whispering, "I really want to make you cry here."
Eloise blushed.
After a long moment of tenderness, she fixed his shirt for him. As she buttoned up his shirt, her delicate fingers lingered there, unmoving.
Harvey watched her intently. After a while, he gently held her fingertips. His voice was hoarse, "Eloise, you're finally back!"
Harvey and Eloise hardly participated the second half of the banquet. They hid in his office, enjoying their moment.
When the banquet was over, he didn't even ask the driver to take them home.
He had been apart from her for so long, so he wanted to spend every moment, even the car ride, with her.
Linda sat obediently in her child seat. Probably tired, she fell asleep after a while. Harvey stopped the car at the intersection. He looked at Eloise in the back seat and said softly, "Come to the front."
Eloise hesitated. She was wearing an evening gown!
Harvey's eyes were dark and passionate, and the heat was almost melting her. Seeing her not moving, he said again, "Give me your hand!"
Eloise extended her hand, and he held it gently, pulling her to sit next to him. Harvey fastened her seat belt. His long fingers were brushing against her. Eloise trembled slightly. He looked up at her and then laughed, "So sensitive?" Eloise turned her face away, unsure whether to deny or to admit.
The night deepened.
A luxurious black car slowly drove into the villa, finally stopping in the parking lot. Harvey unbuckled his seat belt, turned to her and whispered, "I'll put Linda to bed. You wait for me in the master bedroom, okay?"
Eloise felt a bit weak.
Harvey leaned over, kissed her lightly for a moment, and then playfully stroked her tender cheek. "You go ahead!"
Eloise went upstairs and pushed open the door to the master bedroom. The moment she opened the door, she was stunned.
The entire room was filled with red roses, and there were many gift boxes. It seemed they were all for her.
Women love to be pampered, and Eloise was no exception. She took off her heels, sat on the white wool carpet, and began to unwrap the gifts.
They were jewelry, high-end designer dresses. There were even high heels, which were very delicate and highlighted the lines of her calves.
Having been with him for a long time, she naturally knew his hidden desires, so she couldn't help but blush.
The bedroom door creaked open. Harvey appeared in the doorway. He was still in
his expensive black evening suit. His facial features were more sculpted and handsome under the light.
He gently closed the door and came over to hug her from behind, "Do you like them?"
Of course, Eloise liked them. She turned around gently, reached up to wrap her arms around his neck, and kissed him. In the midst of their lingering kiss, she murmured, "I love them! But I love you more!"noveldrama
He laughed slightly, whispering hotly in her ear, "Eloise, it's been three years since we've had sex!"
What do you think?
