Chapter 309
His words were warm and gentle.
Heat rose to Eloise's cheeks. "Stop it, Harvey. I'm not your wife."
Inside the car, a subtle scent of whiskey lingered. Harvey leaned back in his seat, taking her hand in his. His fingers gently traced the diamond wedding band. "You're still wearing the ring. If you're not my wife, then whose wife are you?"
Eloise couldn't find any words to retort.
Harvey turned his head towards her, his gaze tender. When she was obedient, she was truly soft.
His voice was hoarse. "I'm half of the Harvey before now, aren't I?"
Heat rushed to Eloise's face, but he leaned in, resting his entire weight on her shoulder. "Eloise, I don't believe you're not moved."
Yes, Eloise was indeed moved but something felt off. He was suddenly remembering things, and it was all so unfamiliar.
Harvey held her chestnut hair, gently tilting his neck to kiss her. He was so warm, so hot; his mouth tasted like rich red wine mixed with the unique scent of a man.noveldrama
Their passionate breaths and the soft sounds of their kisses, made the driver dare not breathe.
After a while, Harvey pulled away, simply resting his forehead against hers, gazing at her with gentle affection and enjoying her obedience.
Eloise was shaking uncontrollably. She snuggled into his chest, and soon, his chest area was damp and warm, which wasn't exactly comfortable.
She started to cry.
"Harvey, are you really back? Do you know how much I've missed you?" She thought.
Harvey murmured gently, "Don't cry. Eloise, don't cry. I'll remember everything gradually."
Abruptly, she reached out, fiercely pounding on him a few times. Despite her unease, she couldn't resist him at this moment.
When they arrived at the hotel, he escorted her back to her room; perhaps it had been too long since they'd acted like a married couple, but neither could break the awkwardness.
As Eloise swiped the key card, she was suddenly embraced from behind. He caressed her slender waist, leaning on her back and chuckling softly. "You're still keeping fit, your waist is as firm and slim as a young girl's."
Eloise knew what he wanted, but it was too soon, too abrupt. She was afraid that a night of intimacy would be followed by a pair of unfamiliar eyes.
Eloise grabbed his hand. "Didn't you say we'd take things slow?"
Harvey grunted in response. He continued to touch her for a while longer, his fingers playing with her diamond ring. "This time, let's have a grand wedding."
Eloise remained silent. They had broken up and gotten back together several times; they already had two kids, and the wedding was not important. What mattered was... was he really back?
Eloise turned in his arms. "When we get back, I'll accompany you to see a doctor."
Harvey's smile faded slightly. But in a moment, he gently touched her waist again and said, "Alright."
They should have gone to their separate rooms, but she couldn't resist wrapping her arms around his waist, leaning gently against his chest.
This embrace... it had been so long for Eloise.
Harvey lowered his head, looking at Eloise in his arms. His gaze held a certain complexity.
Eloise was so soft and completely in love with him at this moment. These were all the things he had missed.
He could have her completely if he wanted, and he could enjoy her body tonight.
But, it wasn't enough. What he wanted was not merely her body. He wanted her, as his woman.
In the end, he entered her suite. They kissed in the dim room. The air was filled with the scent of a man and woman in deep passion.
He was so aroused. In the end, they tumbled onto the bed. At that crucial moment, the drunken Harvey was impotent.
The atmosphere was somewhat awkward. Eloise rolled over to the side, her cheeks flushed.
Harvey was also somewhat stunned. He embraced her from behind, coaxing softly, "I've had too much to drink. Next time, I'll make sure you're satisfied, okay?" Eloise pulled the sheet over herself.
Harvey lay down, staring at the white ceiling, breathing lightly. Even though it was because he was drunk, it was still a blow to his male ego.
Eloise was 30, at the peak of a woman's needs. If she was disappointed in him and refused to reconcile, then his efforts these past few days would be in vain.
He thought, tomorrow morning, he would definitely make her experience the joy of being a woman.
In the early morning, Harvey woke from his drunken stupor. He reached out to his side, his voice was hoarse. "Eloise, we..."
But his hand met emptiness. The large bed was devoid of any human presence.
Eloise had run away, leaving him alone in the hotel bed.
Harvey sat up, running his fingers through his hair, unwillingly wondering if she had left because of his performance last night. He immediately grabbed his phone and diated her number. The phone was off. sŵnovel
Harvey flopped back onto the bed, dialing Denise's number to ask her to arrange
a private jet.
On the other end, Denise was
somewhat puzzled. Attorney
Horigan Seemed upset, had his pursuit of Eloise been thwarted? But no, yesterday she had run into Pauline, who was beaming with happiness as if there was going to
be a celebration at home?
That afternoon, Harvey returned to Peterborough.
Eloise avoided him for two days. On the third day, he left work early and went
straight to Everest Technologies to confront her.
What do you think?
