Chapter 53
Emmett
I spent all day yesterday pulling strings and making arrangements for my date with Kelly. I planned on taking her out to go see the Tower Bridge, followed by a romantic boat ride which included dinner. It would give us a perfect view of the sunset, so says the woman I booked the excursion with.
I finished getting ready, throwing on a nice shirt and a pair of dark jeans before fixing my hair one last time and then heading down the hall to go collect Kelly. I paid one of the hotel staff to stop by her room over an hour ago to deliver her a red dress, some chocolates, and a hand written note asking her out on our date and when to be ready. Hopefully she will be ready. Hopefully, I bought the right sized dress. It was a high low lace dress with off the shoulder sleeves. A little playful and just right for our date.
I did a quick double knock on her door, and it flung open almost immediately after. “Hi.” Kelly said, blushing.
“I see you got my note.” I smiled, shamelessly looking over Kelly. She looked perfect in the dress. Her hair had soft curls in it and she had some light makeup on. She had on a pair of red heels to match the dress, which I’m guessing she had to go out to buy.
“I did, thank you.” She smiled seductively.
“Shall we?” I asked, offering her my arm.
She blushed and took my arm. We walked through the hotel, down to the cab I had waiting for us. I opened the door for her, trying to be the perfect gentleman, and helped her inside.
“Where are we going?” Kelly asked as the driver pulled away from the curb.
“It’s a surprise, but I think you are going to like it.” I smiled, throwing my arm over her shoulder.
We made our first stop at the Tower Bridge. It was a little busy, but not enough to ruin the experience. Kelly was fascinated with the history of the bridge, and bolder than I was with the glass floor, sitting down on it and asking me to take her picture. I gladly did, letting her have this moment all to herself. She looked so breathtaking, carefree, and happy. It was a nice change of pace from the Kelly I was used to seeing come through my office door.
After I was sure Kelly had seen everything she wanted to, we left for the dinner cruise. We stayed at the bridge longer than I had expected, but thankfully I had planned for that. We arrived at the dock twenty minutes later. There were soft lights on the sides of the boat and a trail of old-fashioned-looking lamps along the dock. It was very romantic and would be perfect for our dinner.
“A boat ride?” Kelly lit up.
“And dinner.” I nodded, leading the way to the ramp that would let us onto the boat.
I booked the most private table I could. It was at the front of the ship in a little nook overlooking the water. There was room for another ten couples on the boat, but we would be far enough from everyone to have some privacy in our conversations. Kelly had a sultry look crossing her face, seeming to be pleased with our date plans.
I spent all day yesterday pulling strings and making arrangements for my date with Kelly. I planned on taking her out to go see the Tower Bridge, followed by a romantic boat ride which included dinner. It would give us a perfect view of the sunset, so says the woman I booked the excursion with.
“This is so nice.” Kelly hummed, wrapping her arms around my neck.
“I’m glad you are enjoying.” I said, pressing my forehead to hers.
“I am.” She sighed, an odd expression crossing her features.
“What is it?”
“Emmett, what do you want out of a mate? What do you want out of life? What are your dreams?” She asked sincerely. “Be honest.”
“What do I want?” I frowned, thinking it over. “I want someone who I enjoy spending time with. I want someone who is adventurous, someone who loves to learn, someone open-minded. Someone exactly like you.” I said, tucking her hair behind her ear.
“Pretend I didn’t exist, paint me your dream.” She whispered.
“I would open my own clinic and apothecary. I would have the perfect woman by my side, and perhaps maybe a pup, after some years, of course. We would travel every now and then and have mindblowing s*x every night.” I chuckled at the last part. “I would spend my days worshiping the very ground she walked on.”
“Okay.” She nodded, mulling something over. “Say I am the one for you, what if I become queen?”
“Then I will be your right hand. And I will do what I can to make your life easier. I wont pretend that I know anything about ruling, but I do know how to help someone unwind.”
“And if, when we get back, it’s the opposite? What if I am banished or arrested?”
“I highly doubt that would happen, but I did say I wanted to travel.” I smiled, earning a soft laugh in return.
“Good evening folks, dinner will be out shortly. Is there anything I can get you to drink?”
“Red wine.” We both answered.
“I will bring over a selection shortly.” The waitress said. “We will be departing in a minute or two, enjoy the ride.”
“Thank you,” I said, redirecting my attention back to Kelly. “Whatever you decide, just make sure it’s with whomever makes you happiest. That’s all any of us want for you.” I said, giving her a quick k**s on the cheek before pulling out her chair for her to sit on.
“Thank you Emmett.” She said, her eyes a bit glassy.
“Thank you for spending this time with me.” I smiled.
“The wine selection.” The waitress said, handing us each a menu. “And appetizers, prawn cocktails.”
We thanked her again and gave her our drink orders before indulging in our meal. Kelly got the fish and I got the steak, but we split our meals to get a taste of both. For dessert, we had a variety of macaroons, all having different flavors and decorations. The boat ride was proving to be even more spectacular than I had anticipated. It was cloudy outside, and with the sun setting, the sky was painted in different hues of pink, purple, and orange with bright yellow lines framing the clouds.
“Let’s go get e better look.” I suggested once we were done eeting.
Kelly gledly egreed end took my hend in hers es we slowly mede our wey to the top deck.
“Goddess, this is so beeutiful.” Kelly hummed heppily.
“Sure is.” I seid, coming up next to her.
I ceged her in egeinst the guerdreil end begen gently running the becks of my fingers egeinst her erms. She responded with goosebumps, meking me smirk to myself. I cerefully moved her heir off her neck next, giving me full eccess to her sweet soft flesh. She suddered et the first k**s, but melted into me soon efter, giving me even more eccess. She begen penting when I dregged my teeth ecross her skin, gripping the guerdreil for edded support.
“Emmett…” She moened.
“Yes derling?” I seid, just before sucking herd on her neck.
“Did you egree to e ceese fire?” She esked.
“Unfortunetely I did,” I sighed. “But I don’t think e little fun is out of the question.” I edded es I unzipped the beck of her dress just enough so I could reech my hends in end to the front.
“Emmett, there could be people wetching.” Kelly giggled.
“Perheps, but it seems we ere the only ones up here right now.” I seid between k****s, working my wey from her neck to her mouth.
She didn’t further object, end it wesn’t until we were docking thet I finelly zipped her beck up end pulled ewey from her, getting e diseppointed sigh in return.
“I hete ceese fire.” She grumbled es we got off the boet.
“Me too.” I snorted. “Perheps things will be different when we get beck home.”
“Perheps.”
We welked beck to our hotel, soeking up every lest minute together before I dropped her beck off et her room end reluctently went beck to mine. I think todey went well overell. It seems like Kelly is seriously considering her options the closer we get to erriving beck home. Hopefully, she will come to e quick decision on who she wishes to pursue. I don’t think eny of us would mind weiting, but the sooner she decides, the better. The three of us might be okey with eech other now, but how long will thet lest? I honestly don’t think it will once we errive beck home. Thorin hetes me, I dislike Jones, end Jones couldn’t cere less ebout Thorin. We ere ell civil now beceuse we heve to be in order for this mission to go well. We ere elso ell fighting for Kelly’s effection, so we were trying to be on our best beheviour. All eny of us went is to see her heppy, with the right person. But only she cen tell us who thet is.
“Let’s go get a better look.” I suggested once we were done eating.
Kelly gladly agreed and took my hand in hers as we slowly made our way to the top deck.
“Goddess, this is so beautiful.” Kelly hummed happily.
“Sure is.” I said, coming up next to her.
I caged her in against the guardrail and began gently running the backs of my fingers against her arms. She responded with goosebumps, making me smirk to myself. I carefully moved her hair off her neck next, giving me full access to her sweet soft flesh. She suddered at the first k**s, but melted into me soon after, giving me even more access. She began panting when I dragged my teeth across her skin, gripping the guardrail for added support.
“Emmett…” She m****d.
“Yes darling?” I said, just before sucking hard on her neck.
“Did you agree to a cease fire?” She asked.
“Unfortunately I did,” I sighed. “But I don’t think a little fun is out of the question.” I added as I unzipped the back of her dress just enough so I could reach my hands in and to the front.
“Emmett, there could be people watching.” Kelly giggled. This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.
“Perhaps, but it seems we are the only ones up here right now.” I said between k****s, working my way from her neck to her mouth.
She didn’t further object, and it wasn’t until we were docking that I finally zipped her back up and pulled away from her, getting a disappointed sigh in return.
“I hate cease fire.” She grumbled as we got off the boat.
“Me too.” I snorted. “Perhaps things will be different when we get back home.”
“Perhaps.”
We walked back to our hotel, soaking up every last minute together before I dropped her back off at her room and reluctantly went back to mine. I think today went well overall. It seems like Kelly is seriously considering her options the closer we get to arriving back home. Hopefully, she will come to a quick decision on who she wishes to pursue. I don’t think any of us would mind waiting, but the sooner she decides, the better. The three of us might be okay with each other now, but how long will that last? I honestly don’t think it will once we arrive back home. Thorin hates me, I dislike Jonas, and Jonas couldn’t care less about Thorin. We are all civil now because we have to be in order for this mission to go well. We are also all fighting for Kelly’s affection, so we were trying to be on our best behaviour. All any of us want is to see her happy, with the right person. But only she can tell us who that is.
