Chapter 2454
As Frank hung up, the park manager approached him with a smile. "Live and let live, kid. Why don't I waive your entrance fee, and we'll all just let bygones be bygones?"
He was really afraid things would blow out of proportion, and that the blame would be pinned on him, which was why he was now being nice to Frank.
However, Frank rolled his eyes at him. "Too late!"
It did not deter the park manager, however, as he kept trying to reason with Frank.
Regrettably, none of his pretty works worked, and finally seeing that Frank was not seeing reason at all, he snapped, "Did you think I'm a pushover, kid?! Then I'm not gonna sugarcoat it-I have plenty of connections myself! So watch it, or I'll hurt you!"
"Hurt him, you say?" Pat Quaid barked as he strode over to them.
The park manager turned and flinched when he saw that it was the Shagan commissioner!
Who was this brat?! Forget being such a good fighter-he was friends with the Shagan commissioner too?!
Even as he turned pale, the park manager quickly pleaded, "Oh, it's just a misunderstanding, commissioner!"
Pat ignored him, however, and walked up to Frank, "What's the situation, Mr. Frankton?"
After Frank explained everything, Pat interrogated the human trafficker. He was merely doing so out of courtesy, as he naturally knew that Frank would never lie.
Fortunately, the human trafficker admitted to everything like before.
"Understood!" Pat nodded. "Then there's no arguing the case for anyone now. Everyone who should be in prison will be in prison."
Then, turning toward the park manager, he chuckled. "Now, as for you..."
The park manager quickly said, "This has nothing to do with me, commissioner! Ask them if you don't believe me!"
Pat shot him a look. "As I
understand there have been multiple cases of people going missing in this water park, and you never suspected a thing? Even if you weren't their accomplice, you'll still be charged with negligence of duty!"
The park manager could not argue against that.
Soon, officers arrived to take them all away, while Pat smiled at Frank. "Thank goodness you're around, or I would never have found out about this. You really did me a tremendous favor!"
"You're too kind, commissioner." Frank waved him off. "There's no lack of villains, but it's scary how they always end up forming gangs. You should think about what to do with them."
Pat nodded. "Don't worry. I'll make sure this is resolved properly."

After parting ways with Pat, Frank returned to the pool where Dawn was chatting with Jojo.
Seeing him return, they hurried toward him. "How did it go?"
"It's done, of course!" Frank grinned. "They got their just deserts, and it's a shame
I didn't get to properly torture them for what they did!"
"Good!" Dawn smiled.
Jojo nodded too. "Thank you. Without you, I probably wouldn't ever see my parents again."
Frank smiled. That's why you
Ket
should really be careful with people like them and don't wander away from your parents. And if people you don't know catch you, remember to yell and make a scene. That's how you can protect yourself! Constant vigilance!"
While Jojo had such lessons before, knowledge and experience were really different. Everything seemed to click in place when one learned through experience, and Jojo now knew how important it was to be careful. noveldrama
"Wait here!" she told Dawn and Frank before running off to get her parents.
"They're the ones who saved me!"
"Thank you so much!" The couple were moved to tears.
They had been so playful they neglected their daughter. Still traumatized by what
a close shave it was, they were awash with gratitude.
What do you think?
