Chapter 2539
Rina then sighed. "But since it's too old, trading would be difficult and a source is necessary. It's most likely a national treasure on top of that, but since it might end up abroad if sold, I decided to keep it instead."
Frank nodded. "I would've passed on any other stuff, but this one is special, so I'll take it!"
Rina giggled. "By the way, are you a tourist?"
"Yeah, and we're visiting Mount Statera. Care to join us?"
"Of course!"
If anything, Rina was only concerned that Frank was politely distant and therefore agreed to it right away.
They took a taxi and headed to the hostage cottage, where Alda Ingram was cooking.
Seeing Frank bringing back yet another pretty face, she smiled. "You're really lucky with women, and I guess I don't have to worry about having no one to talk to!"
Frank smiled in wry amusement. "Stop it. She isn't married yet! Anyway, her name is Rina Qwell. Rina, meet Alda Ingram."
Alda smiled. "Please sit. Breakfast will be ready soon!"
Jouri strode in with a smile just then, "Well, well. I'm surprised you're acting like the lady of the house at all, but aren't you indulging Mr. Frankton too much?"
She sat beside Frank, staring at the bag he was holding, while Alda rolled her eyes. "What's it to you?"
While Alda got Rina to sit, Frank passed the bag to Jouri, who opened it and brushed his finger against the sculpture's neck, where it was cut.
"Yes, this is definitely the head of that statue!" she exclaimed in delight. "You're so lucky that you'd find the needle in the haystack in no time at all."
"And that's thanks to someone playing messenger, no?" Alda asked, puffing her chest.
After breakfast, Rina turned in alone since she was sleepy.
Frank and the others then hiked up to the peak of Mount Statera and took in the picturesque view from afar.
Alda sighed. "Just look at that really eases whatever is bogging down the mind."
Frank smiled and nodded. "That's why they call it recreation."
Just as he finished, a huge dog suddenly leapt toward Alda, ready to bite!
Frank reacted instantly and kicked it away.
"What are you doing?! Why did you kick my boy away?!"
A burly man in a crew cut promptly ran up, snapping at Frank as he caught his dog.
Alda snapped, "Are you crazy?! Your dog tried to bite me, and my friend had to do that to protect me! And he's at fault now?!"
Crewcut smirked. "Look in the

"Are you crazy?! You're actually siding with your dog?!" Meg Quill snapped, hearing the argument.
They were quite loud, and soon a crowd gathered around them, pointing and gesturing at Crewcut.noveldrama

"However, if it's attacking a person, self-defense is perfectly reasonable. But you?!
You're embarrassing the rest of us!"
