The Kiss that Sparked it All

Chapter 2905

“You know, while I’m not exactly happy with the things your dad’s done, there’s one thing I’ve got to thank him for.”

Regina couldn’t help but perk up her ears, “Thank him for what? Don’t you two resent each other?”

She just couldn’t figure Nolan out. If it were her, she would be beyond irritated dealing with someone constantly reaching out for money, especially for a son who wasn’t even born yet.

But there Nolan was, still managing to smile.

Was this some kind of CEO superpower?

“I’m grateful he was so adamant about you becoming part of my family.”

Regina fell silent, her face heating up instantly. Her heart pounded fiercely, almost disbelieving the implication in Nolan’s words. The moment she caught his gaze, she quickly looked away, out the window.

“You-You should stop with the ambiguous talk. I’ll pay back every penny my dad borrowed from you. You don’t have to go to such lengths.”

“Oh? What lengths have I gone to?” Seeing Regina’s ears, now visible and flushed, Nolan couldn’t suppress a teasing smirk.

“By being an alluring gentleman, okay? Now, stop smiling at me.’

The more flustered Regina got, the more Nolan’s laughter filled the air, marking the happiest moment since their marriage. Infected by his laughter, Regina couldn’t help but smile too.Content is © by NôvelDrama.Org.

Despite the hurdles their marriage faced, his ability to laugh like this in her presence was truly something, Regina sincerely thought.

Nolan drove Regina straight to South Hill Community. “I mentioned this place back at your house. From now on, let’s move in here.” he said.

He parked the car in the garage, then effortlessly opened the door for Regina, holding her hand as they walked into their new home together.

Regina looked down at their intertwined hands, then up at Nolan, who seemed as calm as ever. Yet, noticing the slight blush on the tips of his ears, how could she not realize he was nervous too?

Could it be that luck was indeed a constant?

After enduring some awkward situations at home, was this the universe’s way rewarding her?

Regina couldn’t help but feel a bit dizzy with excitement.

Was this real?

Was Nolan truly walking her into their new home?

She couldn’t understand why Nolan’s attitude had taken such a dramatic turn in such a short time.

But even if this was a dream, it was too beautiful to question. She dared not ask Nolan, fearing she might disturb this rare peace.

As they walked, Nolan shared little details about their new home.

Every detail had been personally overseen by him. He had bought the house early. He knew the landowner personally, so he got spot reserved during construction.

The house had been built but not designed until after their marriage, when Nolan had it styled to suit both their tastes. So, when Regina stepped into the living room and saw a painting by her favorite artist hanging on the wall, she couldn’t help but turn to Nolan in surprise.

Nolan didn’t say much, just subtly lifted his chin, inviting her to look around. But the pride. in his eyes was unmistakable.

Even though he didn’t spell it out, it was clear he knew exactly what Regina liked.

Even after Nolan let go of Regina’s hand, she didn’t wander far but returned to his side after just a moment.
