The Last Ceo’s Deal

Long story

A DEAL WITH THE CEO

Fanuel.

Just two days of not seeing or hearing from her made shut down with craziness.

I can’t believe it, I let her take over my entire being and can’t even concentrate on anything except her.

She’s the light to my darkness, and the warmth to my cold heart.

I fucking miss her so much that it ached and sent migraines to my head.

I rather kept myself so busy than sit idle and think about her. Work was really flowing and Edward and my brother seemed to be a pain in the ass by making things worse when asking about Christine.

He made it sound as if I kidnaped and locked her in a cage.

I totally ignored them and concentrated on anything that would drift my mind away from her.

I worked silly and went to places, visited companies for new deals and contracts and reached home very late to draft into a deep sleep.

Tonight was one of those nights I slept deeply but my phone jolted me with its ringtone and I frowned, wondering who would call me by this ungodly hour.

Christine.

My heart does different flips as I stare at the caller ID with different thoughts cursing through me and panic overwhelmed me.

“Fanuel.” Her sweet calm voice gave a tingling sensation and I sighed in relief.

She sounded okay.

“Christine…. Are you alright, is everything okay?”

“I miss you…a lot.”

I grip the sheets tight and squeeze them, biting my lips.

“Christine….” I sighed and released quick breaths not knowing what to say.

“I’m fine Fanuel, how about you?”This content © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

“I’m totally like shit ”

“Mm…. you need to take your bath to freshen up.”

I smiled despite myself, She interpreted it the other way.

“Why are you up now?” I asked, staring at the Wall clock. It was past 1:00 hours in the morning.

“I couldn’t sleep.” She blurted and continued.

“I was worried about you.”

She confessed and I sighed.

“You shouldn’t do that, I’m totally fine…just losing my cool because of you.”

“I’m sorry.”

“You don’t need to apologize.”

“No Fanuel, I…I doubted you and I thought I could kill whatever that’s going on if I give you space or make myself realize that none of what’s going on with us will last.”

“It’s okay to feel that way, I’ve hurt you enough ”

“No Fanuel, I didn’t trust you and myself. I didn’t want to get drowned loving you and ended up being hurt.”

“Oh Christine…I’d never hurt you again, it’s a promise. Was that why you avoided me?”

“I’m sorry, I had to.”

I sighed at her sincerity and felt relieved. I was momentarily going haywire, thinking I did something wrong when she was just being plainly confused.

“It’s fine love, just relax and have all the time you need with your family. You can come when you’re ready.”

“Okay, I will…I gotta sleep now before my mum flares up. I love you.”

She said those magic words that made my entire being shake and cut the call.

Her voice echoed over and over again in my head and I sighed, letting sleep take over me.. more peacefully.

The doorbell rang and I frowned, yawning and getting up. It was dawn already and I wondered who the heck it was, disturbing my sleep.

Easton.

I almost choked, seeing him at my doorstep and panic at once.

“Is Christine okay?”

The dude ignored me and strolled in as if I permitted him.

He sat and Crossed his legs over making me roll my eyes.

I know he detest me badly and his attitude sulks when he’s close to me but I can’t deny this aura around him.

Like he could break my nose at any time and I was going to do shit. Right from the first day I saw him…Easton was always dominating and possessive, anyone who messes with the one he loves would dig his grave.

“Are you playing pranks on my sister?”

“I’m.. not” I answer sincerely, not in the mood to tease him.

“Fanuel Hudson, What’s your plan with Christine? Dump her after using her?

Punishing her hard for that asshole of a dad after taunting her or making her go over heels with you, then dump her after the bullshit contract ”

“None of the above.” I said boredly actually shocked that he’s aware of the contract.

“I don’t believe you, a bit. But Christine does and not supporting what she wants or likes automatically makes me an asshole. I’m just going to give you a piece of my mind, spoiled brat, if you ever hurt my sister; I will go the highest and farthest point to hurt you into shreds. No matter how long it would take.”

“Did you come to my house to threaten me?”

“Somehow, it’s what you know how to do best too… isn’t it? Anyway I’m here for something else.”

“Okay?”

“Who the fuck is Alex?”

I froze momentarily.

“Why…why me?”

“What’s that?”

“I mean you could have asked anybody else except me.”

“Because I know you would say the truth if it concerns Christine except you’re just playing a facàde.”

“Is anything wrong with Christine?” I panicked instantly.

“No, she’s good. That asshole has been keeping intels on me, I discovered it last night wondering why he’s keeping tabs and when I confronted Christine, her face was filled with dread and disgust.”

I sigh in frustration.

“He’s my cousin who wants me killed.”

“Why?”

“Long story.”

“I lost track of my dad whose location was in Chicago only to dig in and find Alex’s location and look up instead and discover that even before he left that douchebag had been keeping tabs on me.”

“I don’t think it had anything to do with you but Christine.”

“Why?”

“To spite me…wait did you say Chicago? Your dad’s location?”.

“Yeah?”

I panicked instantly as dread filled my face not wanting to connect the dots that’s screaming in my head.

Alex was keeping tabs on Easton and all of a sudden went back to Chicago.
