The Luxury of Discount King

Chapter 19 The Chief Assistant

Chapter 19 The Chief Assistant

"What? Quintupled?" Amara was stunned. Now she was so excited and she got rid of the sadness of

being fired. She immediately wiped away her tears as she heard of such a nice pay.

"You don't want to take this job?" Conrad asked.

"Of course I want it so badly! But everyone says that I am stupid and I am afraid that I can't do this job

well." Amara hurried to answer.

"Come on, just be more confident. I won't make you do something difficult. What you need to do now is

to manage this building. And perhaps I can induct you as the building manager here."

"Me? Manage the whole building?" Amara was stunned. She couldn't believe that she needed to bear

such a responsibility.

"Yes, I can't just leave the whole building here and do nothing about it. I will just spare some of the

apartments here to live in or for other purposes. And you can rent the rest for someone else. Perhaps I

can earn some money even after paying the property management fee. If the market price of the

building mounts to a certain level, you can help me sell them out. Well, it all depends on you." Conrad

said.

Conrad was aware that he could still earn a great deal of money with the app. But once the discount

ran out, he would have nothing to earn money from. So he decided to earn himself more by other

means.

"Okay, I am sure I can do this!" Since it was a job related to real estate industry, Amara regained her

confidence and smiled. Just before she was employed as an intern, she had learnt a lot about the

relative knowledge.

"Here is your first mission. Just place the quilts and appliances in other apartments beside. I need to

spare them for myself to live in. Can you can also choose anyone of them to accommodate yourself."

Conrad said.

"Okay, I will finish the mission as soon as possible!" Amara straightened her back to promise. Her nice

body revealed in front of him again.

Conrad nodded and was about to leave. But Amara suddenly stopped him, "Well, boss, can I sign a

contract with you about my job?" Amara hesitated but still uttered. Since she was just fired, she still

wanted to have her job confirmed by a contract.

"I haven't set up my own company yet. So I have no contract. But I promise I will sign one with you. As

for a formal written contract, you can just design one by yourself. After all, now you serve as my chief

assistant, you should know what to do by yourself."

Conrad knew he should delegate the right to her to manage the business. But he was just too lazy to

draft a contract. Then he noted down the bank account of Amara and transferred 30,000 yuan for her

as an advance of wages so as to ease her and make her more focus on work.

"Thank you, boss!" Amara bowed to him with respect.

"That's not a problem. Just work hard, Amara."

"Yes, sir!" Amara bowed again gratefully. Conrad favored a college graduate like her the most as she

appeared to be quite energetic.

Then he went to the parking lot to drive his car. When the guards saw the Lamborghini this time, they

all saluted as they were all aware of the real identity of this rich young man.

Conrad hurried to leave as he had made an appointment with Mr. Huber today to deliver him

ambergris.

He drove to the Huber Clinic of Chinese Medicine. It was a clinic with good business. A few elder Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.

patients were sitting there while two middle-aged doctors were providing medical service. Beside them

there set a large Chinese medicine cabinet.

"Excuse me, is Mr. Huber here?" Conrad asked as he entered.

"You must be Mr. Porter, right? Welcome! Mr. Humber is now expecting you. Please follow me." A

nurse said.

It was then Conrad knew that Mr. Humber seldom provided medical service as before. All the doctors

serving in the clinic were his students. And Mr. Humber only provided medical guidance behind.

Meanwhile, he did some research about the theory of Chinese medicine recently.

Conrad saw Mr. Humber at the backyard, who was practicing Tai Chi in a white suit. Of course, he only

did this to exercise instead of training.

Conrad just stood beside. A few minutes later, Mr. Humber finished his exercise and smiled at him,

"Sorry to keep you waiting, Mr. Porter."

"It's okay. But you can just call me by my name as you are the elder." Conrad said.

"Great. You are young, rich, promising and so humble. You are really excellent!"

Conrad left a nice impression on Mr. Huber. A maid served two cups of tea for them. And the two took a

seat to talk.

"You said you have ambergris, right? Did you bring it here?" Mr. Humber said frankly.

"Of course!" Conrad took out a vial from his bag, where there placed a bit of white ambergris with top

quality.

Though it was just as small as a fingernail, it was worth even tens of thousands. However, Conrad only

bought it with a discounted price of 1 yuan for per gram on the app.

Mr. Humber took over the vial and opened it. He smelt the scent and then pinched a bit by his finger.

He gently rubbed against the powder of ambergris on his fingertip to see its quality. Then he said

excitedly, "It's of top quality indeed. How much do you have?"

"I have enough to support your need. The market price is 13333 for per gram. And I will charge you

8000 for per gram. How about that?" Conrad smiled.

After all, Conrad was aware that there was no limited amount of ambergris for purchase on the app. So

he deemed he still had enough to offer. As for the price, he didn't want to make it either too high or too

low. If the price was too high, the patients would be required to pay more for the medicine. If the price

was too low, the ambergris would be possible to be resold for profit by some speculators. Thus, Conrad

set an appropriate price for such medical material.

"Oh, that's great! It's a nice price! Now it's getting more and more difficult to get nice medical materials.

The Traditional Chinese Medicine has been declining during these years just because it's really rare to

get both intelligent young doctors majoring in TCM and traditional Chinese medical materials, most of

which even went extinct. We are left no resources to develop our skills as a TCM doctor." Conrad

sighed while smoothing his white beard.
